"Official" Donald Trump for President: Great Wall of Mexico (1 Viewer)

Yes he took the "work requirement" out of unemployment which has contributed to the -90 million in the present workforce.   Clinton actually had the requirement in, Barack took it out.

Has to do with actually looking for work & if nothing there participating in a training program & also reporting to unemployment office telling your efforts towards looking for work.  That's not all it, but maybe the crux.
Are you sure he permanently took it out of something that existed?

Or did he stop/change/derail some type of reform that was being considered?

This sounds like a chain email gone wrong.  I know there was a temp exemption when our economy cratered.

Is it possible that you're confusing unemployment benefits and welfare benefits?

don't think so.  End of article also notes changes to work requirement & not food stamps.
The article you linked is about welfare reform. Welfare and unemployment benefits are two entirely different programs. Unemployment benefits are a form of insurance that employees and employers pay for through deductions from wage payments.

This would be the worst thread in the history of the Internet but it introduced me to Michelle Fields' boobs so hooray for this thread.

Resume your usual knuckle dragging and thinly veiled racism.

Yes, his link shows that.
But that article is talking about a "memo" in hypotheticals with a lot of "ifs" and we have no idea if whatever that article is saying could happen actually happened and/or if any states actually chose to waive Section 407 or 1115 (I can't tell because that article is an incoherent mess). And how that has anything to do with "contributing to  -90 million in the present workforce" is as baffling as the rest of it.

I think your assessment of chain e-mail gone wrong is about right.

And as far as I can tell, the article doesn't have anything to do with unemployment benefits.

Irish: All you need to do is go back and edit your post from an hour ago and replace the phrase "unemployment benefits" with "welfare" to make the point you were trying to make more clearly. Simple mistake in verbiage is all.

Still think it is all related.  Saw on the news yesterday that Maine increased jobs by 22,000 since they did what they did in July.

Without the waiver, able-bodied food stamp recipients in Maine will need to meet a work requirement outlined in federal law, which means they need to either work at least 20 hours a week or volunteer for a community agency.

Sorry it is certainly not "ALL THE SAME".

You said Unemployment. Now you are talking about Welfare.  Totally different repercussions. Holy ####.

She has an amazing look in that it both annoys me and makes me incredibly aroused.

Had an ex like that.  Hate sex was amazing with her. We fought constantly.
God, me too. I wasn't bothered by her look, she was super cute. However, she would become a raging ##### late at night. I think it was some kind of weird behavior as her rudeness would lead to rough stuff and the cycle went on. I miss her and also hope she drops dead.

We also talked to John Doe over a private connection. He talked about what led him to quit the Cruz campaign. He explained that it was over this very complex plan hatched by none other than Amanda Carpenter – a former Cruzer, who had been hired by CNN.
Carpenter rolled out the idea on or about Jan. 15, 2016 – 17 days before the Caucus. The plan was able to manipulate Carson out of delegates that should have voted for him and sent them mostly to Cruz.

I wouldn't call that groping. I do, however, see a man in his 50s putting his hands on the chest of a teenage girl and getting in her face. He also got in the face of another clearly teenaged girl before that. According to you, that behavior is justification for getting punched in the face, right? Getting in someone's face and being obnoxious? Considering the age and gender of the recipient of such behavior, I would imagine several punches, perhaps?
Do you have a link with evidence of this? The video in Higgs' post and the other videos I have seen of the encounter show the papers in his hand lightly brushing against her but it doesn't appear that he touches her chest with his hands.

No mention of the abortion comment yet?

He said women should be punished, then recanted.
It was one of his worst moves of the campaign (along with the unflattering Heidi picture).

Trump should know better than to say anything negative about abortion, that is the left's  version of gun rights..

Abortion laws will never be changed in this country, I don't know why plebes still ##### and moan about it.

Have been traveling most of the day and honestly have not paid attention to this stuff as much lately but did just watch clips of the Chris Matthews thing where the abortion stuff came up. The clips were edited down, from the parts I saw Matthews asked Trump about abortion stance. Trump said he was pro-life. They then jumped to some stuff with Matthews asking Trump how you go back as a country to where abortions are illegal. Trump then got on the you punish the women thing.

It's a weird line of questioning but it's just more of Trump showing he's way over his skis. He gets hung up way too often, pretty much whenever he gets into specifics.

How people are buying this thing that he's some master negotiator is odd seeing as he constantly steps in crap when he talks too long.

You continue to complain about trolling...but this is the 2nd time in a few weeks you stoop to claiming someone else's personal life is pathetic.

You have also brought me up where I was not even involved.

You want to ignore me...fine...do so, but don't start complaining and talking about other people.

And for you to ask for an apology is laughable here.

As for his post...people were talking about her getting groped and you said "if you stick your hand in a bees nest....." or along those lines.  He questioned whether you meant showing up meant that part was ok.  Since several people seem to be making excuses for that action and just moving to her getting physical with people.
MOP knew exactly what he was doing with his post because he has done the same thing for years. In addition, he never once questioned if the groping really happened. Everything he said was based on him believing the girl was groped. If MOP had ever questioned if it really happened this might be different but his words were that of someone that believed the girl was groped.

Then someone asked MOP if he thought a 15 year old girl deserved to be groped. When MOP answered, he never questioned if it really happened. All he did was take the question of whether she deserved it and twist it around so bad to suggest the person asking the question is saying, and I quote MOP, that "MOP is for raping little girls". Sorry, but there is nothing he can say to justify twisting that question onto someone thinking MOP is ok with raping little girls. He did that to play his victim card...and this after a bunch of comments that suggest the girl asked for it...which is why MOP was asked the question.

Whether she was really groped is not relevant to this because everything MOP said was based on him believing it really happened. This last paragraph is for people that think MOP is off the hook if it turns out to be a false story. His words say he believed it happened. His comments were disgraceful and as usual, he disappears afterwards.

Did you watch the video?
I saw the video and it is inconclusive in my opinion. It doesn't prove she was groped nor does it prove she wasn't. The only thing I have seen or heard prior to this is the statement from the police. I also have never heard where she was groped and this video only shows one angle. I have to believe there are more videos from different angles.

I will say again that this has no bearing on my comments about what MOP said.

It's pretty incredible that someone can:

A) Be on record multiple times over the past 20 years as being incredibly Pro-Choice

B) Apparently change to being Pro-Life without any explanation behind the change at all

C) Continue to support Planned Parenthood over and over again very loudly

D) Support a stance so extreme that the vast majority of Pro-Lifers find it disgustingly horrible and immediately denounce it.

The insane thing is that it's most likely just another case of Trump mangling a conservative position to the point of making it caricature and awful because he is talking off the top of his head and doesn't believe a word of what he is saying.

If Cruz has any brains, he'll immediately start running ads in Pennsylvania blur country with Trump saying this and label him as an extremist.

Whats your opinion on the lunatic girl that sucker punched an old man and lied about him touching her breasts? Also, what is your opinion of every dishonest media outlet running with the story of a trump supporter touching a 15 yr old boobs as factual? Does any of this concern you?
she walked right into his hands lol...that would be like me walking up to a woman...pushing my #### into her leg and crying sexual assault ...and then she pulls a floyd mayweather by hitting then running...people are so ####ed up

This. Let's give MOP an early Christmas present,  and make it all about him.

This is exactly what it is.  What's more concerning is his 'off the top of his head' foreign policy ideas that he may actually believe.

I'm equally amazed at the number of apologies and excuses people are willing to make for this guy.  There was a guy on CNN last night that basically blamed Clinton for Trump's abortion gaffe.  At some point don't you have to see the forest for the trees and realize this guy just doesn't have what it takes.

He's offered an explanation many times. Look it up. You don't want to believe him that's fine but don't say he hasn't.

For decades the right wing has said abortion is murder. Trump's mistake: He took them at their word. @joanwalsh @hardball_chris
Good points.  Those that oppose abortion shouldn't have any problem with what Trump said.  Morally, I think it's murder.  If the gov't ever passed laws in this way (which this gov't won't do), then obviously a woman would be jailed for having one.

But you can't say that when you are in a presidential race.  More proof that Trump is starting to get in over his head.  Stuff is coming at him from all sides, and he's done pretty well for awhile...but now he's starting to fall apart.

Kind of like his "Boycott Apple. I just thought of this. Everyone boycott Apple." He just says whatever comes to mind. I understand the appeal of this, but not as our President.

Can Trump become so unpopular that Democrats take back the House?

...

By last week, as House Democrats showcased several dozen top recruits on Capitol Hill and at K Street fundraisers, the tone had finally begun to shift. Trump has become so unpopular among key constituencies, including the growing suburbs that are home to several dozen Republican members, that some independent analysts, political strategists and a few Democrats say that anything might be possible come Election Day.

“People are now beginning to understand that things could set up — could set up — to give us a shot at the majority. They’re beginning to understand that’s a possibility, because of Mr. Trump. But in any event, they understand we’re going to gain seats,” said Rep. Denny Heck (D-Wash.), who is helping lead the recruiting effort.

Michelle Fields Abandons Apartment Over Safety Concerns After Fox, BuzzFeed Publish Personal Info

Ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields said Wednesday she had temporarily moved out of her D.C.-area apartment over safety concerns after Fox News and BuzzFeed accidentally published her address online.

Both of the news outlets inadvertently posted the phone number and address of Fields when they  published the arrest report of Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. Fields had alleged Lewandowski committed simple battery against her at a news conference earlier this month and he was arrested and charged Tuesday.

Fields told TheBlaze that she had been inundated with threatening messages on her phone after the two outlets posted the arrest report and failed to redact her personal information.

The 28-year-old reporter said that because individuals were sending threats, she no longer felt safe staying at her apartment and had temporarily moved out.

After Fields brought it to the attention of Fox News and BuzzFeed, the outlets removed it from their websites.

Neither a representative for Fox News nor BuzzFeed was available for comment Wednesday night.

Here we have moved from dangerous, to dumb, to despicable. All from Drumpf.

I'm equally amazed at the number of apologies and excuses people are willing to make for this guy.
A guy on the 538 podcast this week compared it to the episode of the The Simpsons where Mr Burns saw a doctor and discovered he had every fatal disease known to exist, but there were so many of them it was like pushing 100 people through one door.  They couldn't get through.  Maybe the same applies to Trump.  There's just so much to attack on Trump with new stuff coming every day, but rather than the accumulation of it all killing him as it should, he becomes almost immune.  And if 1 attack in 10 is legitimately unfair he gets to play the victim, which his supporters cling to as an excuse to keep supporting the guy.

Saints please tell me you have something else going on man. How can disparaging this guy on this message board mean this much to you?
