Ummmm....ok....he told a borderline racist joke 30 years ago? Racism was taught to our older generations, so why would anyone be shocked or surprised if someone older that we respect said something off color 30 years ago? Most of the best of them have tempered their thoughts and no longer believe what they were taught, or, at the very least, have learned to bury them deeply knowing that those ideas are no longer accepted or supported.

Trump is a terrible person no doubt but so are the Clinton's.  But you guys act like Christo as if none of this stuff is true about the Clinton's.  Mind-boggling.
You got some video of the Clintons acting like Andrew Dice Clay?

Dude, it's okay.  You got hoodwinked by Trump and feel remorse now.  He's a con man.  That's what he does.  Frankly a guy with a degree from a school like Georgia Tech should know better, but you're not the only educated male to fall for Trump.  Do better in 4 years and don't beat yourself up for being a Trump guy.  Chit happens.

Why are you such a ####?  I'm not a Trump guy and he didn't do anything to me.  I haven't casted one vote for him so you're casting your misguided anger in the wrong place, as usual.

So you're one of those guys that unless a video exists, then it didn't happen?  And you're questioning my intelligence?  Good times.  You should think before you post sometimes, if you're capable.

You are part of the problem. Stop it. This happens far too often on both sides. It was amazing to me how McCain was praised so much whenever he stood up to Bush while Bush was President and tons of people on the Left said that he was a very reasonable man that they could vote for. Then when he was the nominee he was simply "Bush's 3rd Term" and smeared as being dangerous. Romney was long admired by many on the Left, especially for his healthcare in MA. Then he's the GOP nominee and he's The Devil. Just stop.

The Republicans who bash Obama and make all sorts of stupid claims about how dangerous he is and he's made the world are more dangerous to who we are as a nation and people that Obama could ever be. I'm not happy with a whole lot of what President Obama has done, but he hasn't destroyed us and to talk as if he has is asinine. And Hillary won't either.

The inability to distinguish between actually dangerous politicians and ones we simply disagree with is infinitely more dangerous to our nation's future than ANY candidate.
This is a very good post overall. There are plenty of us who lean left who never had those kinds of opinions regarding McCain or Romney. Heck...some of us would even strongly consider either of them over Clinton right now. I agree that the rhetoric gets ridiculously out of hand on both sides. Trump is the first and only (major party) candidate in my adult lifetime that scared me.

It's all good, angry guy. It's a Sunday.  Have a little fun if you're capable. Always so bitter and angry.

Says the moron getting owned in these political threads day in and day out.  The only person worse than you in Squistion
Never understood how/why Tim takes so much crap, other than being so ridiculously prolific in here.

I think he's lied about having a job and instead has severe social anxiety issues and a massive trust fund ;)

Both, he was NBC's television star. Seems important to all this.

But I agree on your point on the latter, yes absolutely.
Well the producer of the first and second season of the Apprentice is out tweeting they have much worse stuff than this on the cutting room floor (whether that's true or not is another matter as Burnett owns the tapes now).

Is NBC scumbags for putting him on the air knowing this, sure...but Fox still employs O'Reilly and Ailes there forever

Agreed. I've always considered myself and independent even though I vote D more often than not. And I'm quite sure the country would have been just fine if McCain or Romney had been elected. Not so with Trump, not at all.

My biggest decision today is do I watch Odell blow up, or the Donald.

Lets be honest to ourselves, Trump may not make it through this debate without some physical violence towards a woman tonight to lock up his base..

I think you you would be flabbergasted at the stuff that is probably out there for a lot of the people in front of the camera.

Bill Cosby was drugging and raping women as an open secret, but nobody said anything for decades.  We know there is a child rape/sex scandal just brewing.  The Ailes stuff, the Letterman stuff....I'm guessing there is a lot more where those came from.

I just saw this - Ben Stein had a full maybe 2 minute spot on CBS in which he called for Trump to step down.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ben-stein-trump-must-go/

This is an interview he did back in June where he admitted Hillary 'has a more balanced approach. I think probably a good approach' on the economy' and 'I think Mrs Clinton knows something about it (the economy). She is an intelligent woman, she went to Wellesley. She was a classmate of mine at Yale law school and I hope we learned something while we were there'.

But said this at the end:

' I’ll vote for him, by the way. I’ll vote for him because I think he does personify a kind of national pride which I think has been lacking in the Obama days and would be terribly lacking under Bernie Sanders and terribly lacking under Hillary Clinton. But I think his economics is way, way out of whack and he seriously needs some education about it. '

DVR down? I'm going to record the debate t watch later. :)

Hickory dickory dock

Trump likes to grab women in the box

He bragged about it to some doosh as a lark

And as a result his campaign is a failure

And his fans are crying in the trailer park

When they walk out on stage tonight, I'll be cringing if she shakes that tiny little hand of his. What are the chances she leaves him hanging?

So that makes him more dangerous than a guy who openly admires a thug like Putin? A guy who promised to try to change libel laws to shut down reporters who criticized him? A guy who brags about sexually assaulting women? A guy who has advocated intentionally bombing civilians in the Middle East? A guy who changes his mind every 5 minutes? And then brazenly lies about what his stance was 5 minutes ago? A guy with an ego so huge that dangerous international enemies could easily goad him into stupid actions?

I don't believe for a second that you actually believe that. It's just safe for you to say now that it's clear that Trump has no chance to win.

Did you quote the wrong guy?  Maybe you didn't; maybe you were in defense mode.  I disagreed with a point you made which disagreed with someone else.  That doesn't necessarily mean I agree with everything the previous guy said.  Yeah, I think a President's respect of reality is very important.  We can disagree on that.  You getting uppity about it and stating that I'm part of the problem regarding that makes me sad.  I suppose it's because I expect everyone to understand what is real and what isn't.  Maybe you can help me understand how me stating Pence is divorced from science and me pointing out how you want to pretend the earth is 6,000 years old is somehow a moral view would suggest this type of response.  But if you think the earth is 6,000 years old, then don't bother.

The 'intellectuals' and thought leaders who still supported Trump even though every thing they said was a fact against him like Stein and Hewitt have some explaining to do too. Will might be one of the few who come out with a legacy intact.

Well, Trump is about to spend time in court for allegedly raping a 13yo so I guess you're right.
