5 not-totally-crazy electoral maps that show Donald Trump winning (Washington Post)

Most of those scenarios hinge on Trump winning nearly all the swing states.  With that said...

Dead heat: Trump, Clinton tied in 3 swing-state polls (Politico, May 10th)
Yeah, but, but, Tim and the others said there was no way Trump could win Florida or PA.   :lmao:  All the guy did this week was slightly troll Hillary and he went from not having a shot to dead even.

Is Trump going to get 270 electoral votes to win? Probably not.  But, the thing is, liberals think they already have this presidential race in the bag, when there are a lot of "closet" Trump supporters out there.  They would never admit to voting/supporting for him, due to fear of public ridicule, but when election day comes I can see him making this a closer race than many expect.
When Hilary starts to tumble, you'll see more and more people openly come out for him. Just like on this board, irl, people don't want to have to respond to radicals who may call them racists or other derogatory terms.

You seem to love to misquote me.

What I wrote is that I don't think Trump will win those states but that anything's possible. I certainly hope these polls are snapshots and that things will be different once Bernie is out of the race in June, but we'll see. Otherwise my head will explode.

Why would she tumble when she is going to get three kick ### speeches by Obama, Bill, and Bernie at the convention?

Anyone who thinks Trump can't win is fooling themselves.  Unfortunately, this will be a race.

I don't think he can win the key battleground states, but I would never underestimate the hate out there for Hillary.

Because that will further illustrate just how much she is NOT in the same league as them. Obama and Bill are great orators and Bernie believes what he is saying, she is not a great orator and dishonest.

I agree it can go either way. Also don't overestimate the hate for Trump. There are a handful of loud haters but this guy has gotten the most primary votes ever. A lot of people like what he is selling.

William Johnson, the chairman of the American Freedom Party, was just chosen by the Trump campaign as one of their California delegates.  Just own it, guys.

:lmao:

Coming from the Democratic Party that approved this resolution last August, on the same day that a white sheriff's deputy in Texas was shot to death by a black suspect  from behind 15 times in an unprovoked attack, and the day before Black Lives Matter demonstrators marched near the Minnesota state fair chanting “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon”.

WHEREAS, the Democratic Party believes in the American Dream and the promise of liberty and justice for all, and we know that this dream is a nightmare for too many young people stripped of their dignity under the vestiges of slavery, Jim Crow and White Supremacy; and

WHEREAS, we, the Democratic National Committee, have repeatedly called for race and justice – demilitarization of police, ending racial profiling, criminal justice reform, and investments in young people, families, and communities — after Trayvon Martin, after Michael Brown, after Tamir Rice, after Freddie Gray, after Sandra Bland, after Christian Taylor, after too many others lost in the unacceptable epidemic of extrajudicial killings of unarmed black men, women, and children at the hands of police ...

WHEREAS, without systemic reform this state of unrest jeopardizes the well-being of our democracy and our nation;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the DNC joins with Americans across the country in affirming “Black lives matter” and the “say her name” efforts to make visible the pain of our fellow and sister Americans as they condemn extrajudicial killings of unarmed African American men, women and children ...

Wow, I'm totally surprised that you, of all people, can't see the difference here.

Nebraska tells the tale for me more than WV, nice job there by Trump considering he was likely going to lose there when Cruz was still in the race.

Congrats to the Trumpianos.

Coming from the Democratic Party
William Johnson: "No person shall be a citizen of the United States unless he is a non-Hispanic white of the European race, in whom there is no ascertainable trace of Negro blood".

Oh but I'm sure the Democrats will have a delegate or two who once raised their fists or something. And that's basically the same thing, right?

Not that it matters... In your minds I'm sure you won't believe any of this - https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-campaign-faults-computer-error-delegate-mix-005141408--election.html

He has a Super Pac that did phone banking for Trump.

How or why would he not be a delegate?

Actually it's ridiculous they accept his help and then reject him as a delegate.

We ended up in a mirrored conference room to meet with three AFP sympathizers, two middle-aged women and a young man. They talked about how Trump had enabled a new kind of "honest discourse," how he wasn't a racist but a "racialist," and how he had left them feeling "emancipated." Johnson also now finds it easier to be himself: "For many, many years, when I would say these things, other white people would call me names: 'Oh, you're a hatemonger, you're a Nazi, you're like Hitler,'" he confessed. "Now they come in and say, 'Oh, you're like Donald Trump.'"
:lmao:  This can't be real life.

Although the Trump campaign blamed a "database error" for including Johnson as a delegate, the campaign corresponded with him personally just over 24 hours ago. Trump's California delegate coordinator, Katie Lagomarsino, sent Johnson a congratulatory email on Monday, and when he asked for clarification about how to send his completed pledge form back to the campaign, she replied.

  at lifelong republican party members supporting Trump. He is exposing these guys as complete #######s I'll give him props for that.

Seriously?  After everything we've seen?  Just a coincidental database error?
Actually on second thought given the ineptitude on the ground delegate level in other states by Donald's campaign, I'd like to know the nature of this fancy "database." Probably an XL list with hand typed names and responses on it.

Well, yeah.  But given the fact that Trump hasn't even publicly disavowed support from a guy like David Duke (equally repugnant but much more well known, and thus potentially damaging), it shouldn't exactly be unthinkable that someone like Johnson would be seen as a viable choice as a delegate.

"database error". What a coincidence that the only error in the database just happened to be the subject of a national news story just hours before the "error" was announced by the Trump campaign.

if nothing else I'm a little relieved they considered that as something potentially damaging.  Would they have lost any votes if they had said "we welcome his support" instead?  I'd like to think so, but probably not.
