Because you guys are acting like he's telling people to kill Hilary Clinton which anyone with half a brain knows it isn't what he's saying and why he's not going to go to jail for it.
We're acting like he's suggesting civil unrest/treason is an appropriate response to an alteration of the nation's laws enacted through the established means of altering the nation's laws. We're acting like he's beyond stupid, self serving, and irresponsible. We're acting like this is more proof that he, if he were to somehow become President, would actually be horrifically dangerous to this nation and humanity in general.

To be fair, my argument was cash and not ammunitions. I just didn't care enough to continue to argue with an Internet stranger to respond.

Another symptom. Problem accepting responsibility even the most trivial mistakes, this is especially true with intellectually.  It is a defense mechanism to protect the fragile ego.

2016.  When we're debating whether a major party's candidate for President endorsed:

1)political assassination; or

2) armed rebellion

in response to Supreme Court nominees people may find objectionable.  Neat year.

I wouldn't do anything, others might be a little upset. That is the right which allows us to protect ourselves from dangers both foreign and domestic.

Many say that's the right that allows us to overrule a tyrannical government. Many say that after that right is gone, it would be easier for the government to take away our other rights like freedom of speech.
Holy crap, you are Donald Trump!

Many people are saying the reason you won't release your tax records are because there may be large donations to NAMBLA.  Many people also say the reason you won't refute these allegations is because you might not be able to do so honestly.  Would you care to respond?

Say something so insane tomorrow that people forget about what you said today.
I don't think anyone's going to let go of this one until the campaign is over. Isn't this borderline actionable treason here?

I asked 3 non-politco people to watch the clip... they all gasped/guffawed. It is exactly what he said.

And so you leave it to the dumb people to do the killing and that's some how okay?

How do you come back from this one?
There's nothing really to come back from, he's already down pretty big. I assume he'll stay down by about the same margins, maybe lose another point or two.  But he'll hatch some ridiculous explanation of what he actually meant to say that will give the diehard supporters/Clinton haters an out so they don't have to confront the fact that they're supporting someone who called for assassination of another candidate.

The more interesting question IMO is what will GOP leaders and 2016 Senate candidates say about it.

I never said I wanted to ban anybody, try to not make stuff up.
You said, multiple times, you were working on getting people axed.  Unless you were talking about using an ax as a murder weapon (but then again, you might be a DT alias), yes you were trying to get people banned.  Try not to lie when it's easily dis-proven (another reason to suspect you are a DT alias; he does that ALL the time).

"That's fine, I'm working on getting you axed for antics like this."

You said this to Coeur de lion. Again, just doing a little tidying.
Anther symptom. Making contradictory statements that in their own mind are no contradictory. Normal people do this also but will eventually reconcile them, true narcissist will see both statements are true because EVERYTHING they do is correct  it is society/cultures fault.

Right, but we are not talking about people with half a brain, we are talking about Trump supporters.

I don't think the armed rebellion interpretation is all that out of line from what a lot of NRA types believe.  I think a lot of people think the 2nd Amendment is meant as a means to make it easier for a spontaneous domestic insurrection of the people to break out, even if that's completely inconsistent with multiple other provisions of the constitution.  I think Trump will just say that's what he meant and that many Republicans will accept it.

He knows how it feels to be axed. He does share one quality with Jesus, the ability to come back from the dead after just a few days of being perma-banned. Clearly, we are all better for it as evidenced within the Trump thread.

the reality is, he was joking.  This was an off the cuff remark while he was giving a speech, he thought he was being clever.  This is thy type of joke you might hear at any back-yard BBQ or where ever.

However, this is the kind of thing that you CANNOT say in public.  People tend to take politicians seriously, especially a politician seeking the most important job in the world. Somewhere, there is a deranged lunatic cleaning his AR-15, watching this, thinking to himself, "wow, Mr Trump is telling me what I need to do to protect my Constitution".  That's when things get scary.

The fact that it's coming from the guy that is already telling his supporters,  3 months out , that the election will be fixed makes it even scarier.

His staffers are already spinning it that he meant they'd "unify their votes" to oppose her.  Never mind that the premise of his discussion was "what can be done if Hillary is elected and able to appoint Supreme Court justices" which makes it a little late to worry about unified votes.

Now imagine he's sitting at a table with world leaders and lets out a comment like this off the cuff.  Cuz he can't control what comes out of his mouth.

joking about assassinating your opponent in a presidential election... it's not what you want.

In semi-seriousness, what does it take for Manafort to insist that the guy read a standard stump speech off the teleprompter?

"Hey Donald, I know you like to improv.  Trust me, it's not working for you."

The man has no idea what he is doing or doesn't realize the impact his statements can have.  Or he is just mentally unstable but hopefully it is not the last option.

It's too late.  He's done.  There will be a growing wave of endorsement retractions.  Saw something earlier that 54 GOP house districts are currently in play.  This is the whole shooting match in the next 48 hours.  Presidency, house, senate all going dem if Ryan doesn't get his head out of his ### and disassociate from the top of the ticket today.

No, I do own this thread and I will do what to want with it. A bunch of sociopaths are coming in here and spending hours egging on me and other Trump supporters.

You guys have ruined this thread because you like to upset people and ruin things. You have nothing better to do but spend hours of your lives dissecting the Twitter feed of someone you allegedly hate.

I am embarrassed for all of you.
Youjust complained to the mods that people were insulting Trump supporters  (though, we were making fun of Trump actually ). ..then you call people sociopaths?

Wait was he joking or was he making a point that we need to defend our constitutional rights by assassinating public officials?
Yes?

Who does Trump fire to put some daylight between himself and this comment? The notecard he read? The monkey pushing buttons in his skull?

The bright side of such a comment, such as it is, is that respect no longer has to be proffered to this bloviating troglodyte. Yes, I'm always way late to the pile-on.

So, would this be an apology then?

Also, no interest in clicking on a thread titled "Get well soon GB Maurile Tremblay"?

I think I read somewhere that after a few months, infants start to understand that other people exist as separate entities from themselves. Maybe not all infants?
..........never mind.

seriously.  it's as if this man is actually trying to incite violence if he doesn't win.
This is why i have said repeatedly that donald trump and these comments from a candidate for president are actually more of a threat to the united states than anything else out there, including isis.
