I wouldn't.  trump has been in the political sphere for quite a while.  He considered running in 2008, he was a potential VP for bush in 1988.  He has been publicly commenting on politics for quite a while.

It's not like he has been apolitical until 2015.  He knows what he is doing.
I dunno. I think he just consumes CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, forms his opinions, and regurgitates them for public consumption because for some reason people have always cared about them. I haven't seen a single thing that suggests that his knowledge of politics and the issues goes any deeper than that.

Also it seems possible that there's some senility at work here.

It's not just Breitbart and Duke. There are other sites that are promoting Trump and I'm not naming them here. And I'm guessing Trump does not know them by name either. Guy lives in another world.

Actually one of the most important things for the alt right is that they have a neutral name now - alt right - which has gained notoriety. They are a thing now. They have Trump to thank for that. Does he know they are out there? Yes. Does he know who they are once we get past Duke? I doubt it.

I'm not saying he's deep, just that he's not a rookie.  Based on his rhetoric, I would believe he's been reading breitbart, infowars, etc for quite a while.  You don't make broad statements about the dishonest press unless you have been reading stories outside the mainstream press, IMO.

yeah.  That may be Trumps lasting legacy - bringing these guys out of the shadows and legitimizing the movement (if thats what you want to call it).

Ann Coulter just told Hannity she invited her black Uber driver to join her at her Breitbart book party to show him Breitbart isn't racist.
I'm kind of sorry I missed that interview last night.

Good point. It would be quite a coincidence if he echoed their rhetoric so closely without paying so much attention to it.  And I think he's praised Alex Jones publicly before..

I don't know that he knows about the depths many Trumplicans go to, though.  For example I bet he doesn't even know about the Holocaust jokes they throw at Jewish writers if they criticize anything Trump.

Has anyone seen a person wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in public? I've seen zero. But maybe I'm just in the wrong place at the wrong time (i.e. I'm not going to Denny's for dinner at 4:45pm)
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but the Florida State Face-eater was wearing a MAGA hat on the night of his feast.

Florida.....MAGA hat........face-eating.    We sure Em isn't in prison right now?

the undercover voters are coming!

If you're too embarrassed to say you're voting for Trump why in the hell would you vote for Trump? Makes 0 sense.

Just coming to post this same sentiment. Of all the odd logic used by Trump adherents, this may be the oddest. I thought they were all about shouting down the PC Police.

I'm sure there is a segment of Trump voters who aren't bothered by his bigotry (or even support it) but at the same time don't want to associate with it publicly. But I think the Trump campaign is vastly overstating the size of this voting bloc.

I can imagine there are moderate conservatives who are leaning Clinton who won't admit that in their circle of friends, either.

Bannon also co-owns a condominium in Los Angeles and is known to stay at the so-called “Breitbart embassy”, a luxurious $2.4m townhouse beside the supreme court in Washington DC, where his website’s staff work from basement offices. A Bloomberg profile of Bannon published last October, with which he cooperated, stated that Bannon “occupies” the townhouse and described it as being “his”.

But according to records at the DC office of tax and revenue, the Breitbart house is actually owned by Mostafa El-Gindy, an Egyptian businessman and former member of parliament. Gindy has received favorable coverage from Breitbart News, which styles him as a “senior statesman”, without an accompanying disclosure that he is the website’s landlord.

Let's dispel this fiction once and for all that Barack Obama doesn't know Trump knows what he's doing. He knows exactly has no clue what he's doing

I consider myself a moderate and I have no qualms saying I'll vote for Hillary over Trump. There could be some though.

Does this sound like anybody we know?

Via Nate Silver, here’s Democrat Walter Mondale in 1984, just a week before he lost by more than 18 points to President Ronald Reagan:

There's something going on in this country and the pollsters aren't getting it. Nobody who's been with me for the last few days and has seen these crowds, seen their response, seen their enthusiasm, seen the intensity of their response and how they respond to these issues, no one who's been where I've been, can help but believe that there's something happening in this country.

I don't really get the voter ID part of this- seems like a stretch trying to catch this guy being a hypocrite.  The fact that he's a huge dooshbag who runs a bigoted, obnoxious, irresponsible news website should be enough.  No need to find voter ID-related hypocrisy too.

Anyway I feel like the real lede should be that the guy abused his wife.  That seems not so great.

I think like Manafort before him Bannon is going to find this awesome score of a job of presidential campaign manager is going to be a much bigger negative that he ever imagined because of the light being shown on him as a result.

Mondale was a very low energy guy going against a nuclear reactor of energy. Very low energy , believe me, I'm telling you  LOW ENERGY.

I though Ann looked quite fetching last night. Not the greatest looker but last night she want bad.
Did you enjoy her defense of Trump's mocking of the handicapped reporter? How Trump was pretending to be a "regular #######"? (Rhymes with "pee-tard")

You have called out several people in this forum for bad taste and for joking about offensive things. But I take it this was OK with you? Or you found it funny?

I think it's relevant because it's only the hard right that cries about voter fraud.

I also think they should look into Trump's voter registration.  I think he lists a Florida property as his primary residence, for obvious tax reasons, but is registered to vote in NY.

Edit - His tax residence being Florida (and the NAMBLA thing, obviously) are two of the many reasons he won't release his taxes.

You have to love the world class hypocrisy of Hell Toupee. On one hand always outraged and supposedly taking the high moral ground when someone even makes a passing reference that is not PC, yet he not only gives Colter a pass for saying "regular #######"? (Rhymes with "pee-tard") but goes so far as to praise her appearance on Hannity.
