OFFICIAL Dynasty Startup Drafts (2 Viewers)

Is NFL FFL a PPR league? It looks like it is but just wanted to make sure.

It'd probably be good if we classified each as PPR or non-PPR.

It is a PPR league... Start 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex...also we picked rookie picks (1.1, 1.2 etc) rather then rookies (crabz, moreno etc. )

Wow, you could make a killing trading out of rounds 1 & 2 in the majority of these leagues so far. There is some outstanding vet value in rounds 3-6.

Wow, we've seen WRs going early in ppr drafts but this one is a non-ppr where WRs went #1 and #2 overall, with 3 going in the top 6 overall, and a startling 11 out of the top 16 overall. Times they are a-changin'...ETA: Maybe not, with Turner going so late and so many WRs going so early this has got to be a PPR right? It says it's not in the rules page for the league but I'm guessing that just hasn't been updated yet?

It would be really, really helpful if people included whether or not it was ppr when posting a draft.

It's PPR1 for RB/WR and 1.5 for TE

IIRC, this one is 1 PPR for RBs and WRs and 1.5 PPR for TEs. One of the members of this league can confirm/deny.

Rodgers ahead of Brees and Brady? Can't say it was a bad pick. Just surprising.
Not surprising at all.....Rodgers was 3rd overall last year based on this scoring system, behind only Brees and Rivers....I'd take Rodgers as the first or second QB in dynasty in any format 'cause he's young, very accurate, smart, has a very good arm, and has a plethora of weapons....what am I, or rather what else are you, missing?

I would be inclined to take a proven vet over a qb with 1 yr. as a starter.

PPR for RB/WR, 1.5 PPR for TE - Start 1-3 RB, 2-5 WR, 1-3 TE

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

http://football4.myfantasyleague.com/2009/...=54736&O=17

PPR, somewhat QB-heavy - Start 1-4 RB, 2-5 WR, 1-4 TE

Keep in mind, fellas, that the ADP for Pres I, Pres II, and Unsportmanlike Conduct will be a bit skewed due to developmental players starting in about round 4. The difference isn't huge, but should be taken into consideration, even more so in rounds 10-12 where roughly 12 developmental players have been selected (moving ADP back an entire round).

Bump and a ?

I'm in my first 6pt. passing TD dynasty league, drafting in a few weeks, and NO PPR.

In a dynasty draft, how does this QB scoring skew the importance of QBs in general. And more specifically, how does it change the way you approach the draft board?

(i.e. in 4pt/TD passing leagues - in the past - maybe a QB would go in the first, and a few by the end of the 3rd or so - where you could still grab a high upside / top 10 or better guy in the 5th. There aren't many 6 pt. passing leagues listed so far - but one "zealots 23" is posted)

Here's the QB draft / slot for reference: (looks like the main run is in the 3rd, w/ 6 qbs taken and 10 out of the firs 58 picks)

1.04 4. New Orleans Saints Brees, Drew NOS QB Thu Feb 5 11:06:08 p.m. ET 2009

3.01 25. Atlanta Falcons Rivers, Philip SDC QB Sat Feb 7 7:45:51 a.m. ET 2009

3.05 29. Indianapolis Colts Cutler, Jay DEN QB Sat Feb 7 12:55:57 p.m. ET 2009

3.06 30. Dallas Cowboys Romo, Tony DAL QB Sat Feb 7 12:58:42 p.m. ET 2009

3.07 31. Chicago Bears Manning, Peyton IND QB Sat Feb 7 2:32:15 p.m. ET 2009

3.09 33. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Brady, Tom NEP QB Sat Feb 7 4:26:20 p.m. ET 2009 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

4.01 37. New York Giants Ryan, Matt ATL QB ® Sat Feb 7 5:15:47 p.m. ET 2009 Pick made based on Pre-Draft List

4.08 44. San Francisco 49ers Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB Sun Feb 8 12:24:16 a.m. ET 2009

5.01 49. Arizona Cardinals Schaub, Matt HOU QB Sun Feb 8 2:02:23 p.m. ET 2009

5.10 58. Baltimore Ravens Roethlisberger, Ben PIT QB

Thanks in advance if you have any ideas/comments on how to focus on QBs in a 6 pt / TD scoring format.

With 6 pts per pass TD and NO PPR, I would draft a QB within the 1st 2 Rds for sure, and I would NOT draft a WR in the 1st 2, maybe even the first 3 Rds.....Just off the top of my head, my overall Top 10 would look something like this1. Adrian Peterson2. Michael Turner3. Steven Jackson4. Drew Brees5. Aaron Rodgers6. MJD7. Peyton Manning8. Brian Westbrook9. Tom Brady10.DeAngelo Williams

Thanks for the question. I really think there's a lot of value in having a top tier QB in this format. If you look at the dates on these picks in your posts, you'll see Brady is a big time slider - many question marks over his knee in February as Cassel was still on the roster.
