Love it. A very rare trade where liquidating big assets into smaller ones (debatable) is a nice move. For a rebuilder this is great, but I'm not sure it isn't a great move for a contender as well. I think you can love Najee and Pittman all day and still need to make this deal. So there.

I got a 2023 1st and Justin Fields for Dobbins a few weeks ago. It’s a 1QB league but I did need a QB for my rebuild.

How many roster spots and how many do you keep?

There are 28 roster spots. Can't go over that. You generally keep 25 unless you're drafting more than three rounds in the rookie draft. Each pick must then correspond with a drop. So it's pretty tight, all things considered. (My other league is 51 man rosters, down to 48 after the year and then down to forty for Restricted Free Agent Period.)
The lineup requirements are QB RB RB WR WR WR TE D/ST. So start eight. The QBs are huge in this league. It's .1 per 10 yards passing, 6 pt TDs. So I've got Justin Herbert, who FBG assesses is the third most valuable guy in the league behind Allen and Mahomes. He's actually my best asset. And that's by a lot. They assign him a value of 33 given our scoring, and Najee was at 22. So that gives you an idea.
The reason I was able to do the deal is because given the tighter benches and fewer starting spots, he was looking to consolidate.

wow, I only play in FFPC style dynasty leagues which are 20 man rosters and Keep 16 (that includes 1 K and 1 D, so only 14 skill position players). So, honesly, 28 man rosters, keep 25 is a pretty big for me, so my takes above on your trade crrtainly don’t take into account how many roster spots you’re trying to fill. Agree completely. I make that deal all day, and I do love me some Pittman, but getting Aiyuk & Bateman is a score, and Toney/Akers pushes the value too high to reject.

Makes me feel great about Pitts. I put him on the block and didn't get a single offer in my rebuild league. Probably did me a favor, as Pitts looks like a guy to build around.
I'm not sure I'd make this specific deal, but it's not terrible for Pitts.

I'd keep Davis, but it's interesting to see his value climbing
Just a couple weeks ago I gave up James Robinson, Bell, and a 4th for Davis. That mid 1st is likely gonna be a nice profit for you. I'm unsure I'd sell for that.

Yep, this league in particular is a rebuilder that has a lot of young WR talent but needs more RBs pretty badly if it will compete. This gives me three 1sts for next year. Losing Davis is probably not hurting this team at all. I gave this one a lot of thought for a couple days before pulling the trigger.

Upgraded pick and QB, downgrade at receiver. I firmly don't believe in Rondale and still am holding out hope for Claypool (I was a honk for him), so I'm the wrong guy to ask, I think, because I vary so much from the norm in my evaluation of the two. How dynamic is the QB scoring in your league? Is it 4 pt touchdowns, 25 yards per point, or how does it go? The further the weight towards a running QB, the better the trade for you, IMO.

4 pts passing and 25 per yard. I do have pretty good depth at WR (AJB, McLaurin, Aiyuk, Cooper, MT, Jameson Williams, Rondale Moore) and felt getting younger at QB and the draft pick was worth the downgrade with Claypool (I personally believe he's on a new team next year)

Nice, then. The scoring is indeed weighted towards a rushing QB, and the scoring system itself was really the crux of the judgment -- so that is a boon to you. I like it, then.
Every year you hear the coaches and QBs themselves say there will be less designed runs (for Kyler, mainly) and each guy will stay in the pocket more. That could be the case, but they just always say it and sometimes they don't deliver on that. We'll see. If rushing volume and all other things are constant, I like the deal for you, especially if you have depth at WR.
I also think Claypool might be on another team next year. More than likely.

Too early to call it. I might still be on the Wilson side, but it’s close. If someone offered me Sutton for Wilson I’d probably decline for my rebuilding Sf team. If I were a contender I’d probably accept.

Took a flyer on Brian Robinson for a late 23 2nd and (likely) late 24 2nd yesterday about 8 hours before the dude gets carjacked and shot twice in the lower body. Hope the guy recovers well and all but dang, this is just my luck!

I think this totally depends on when that 1st is. Dobbins looked good the last time we saw him and is young and on a team that loves to run the ball. If you had a good feeling that you were getting a top half pick then I don't mind it. If it is a playoff team and a bottom half pick then I'd have stayed with Dobbins.

I think this was a bad trade before that news. Kittle is worth Njoku and Pollard by himself. This was a free Gibson easily and that was before his main competition for carries got shot multiple times.

I feel this is pretty fair. I think Deebo regresses but is still a very solid asset, Robinson could take over but the shooting takes away some of his thunder for sure, I do like Irv Smith this year, and if that 1st is early it is nice. Mattison and a late 2nd are ok pieces but nothing special. I see this is a pretty good trade for both sides depending on wants.

i roster Herbert in all. 3 of my dynasty leagues so I’m obviously on board.
while I think 3.1 might be close to his value in a vacuum, I’m not selling him for that at all.
Would take a high 2nd rounder, and likely only if the pick is on the clock so I knew exactly which prospect I was getting.

I like DK Metcalf, but his QB situ warrants a big discount
I think Parker will shine more in NE making this a nice pickup, but I think Metcalf will disappoint until Sea solves the QB
