Second one is "Fear Factor you have to eat this nastiness" gross.

McLaurin in a landslide
Last year if you owned the 1.09 you might have landed Jefferson there. The picks look very bad at the time of trades but then a year later they have a shot to turn into gold worth more than the players you traded away even though at the time the trades seem to be bad.huh? no way
SF and 0.5PPR? Going to be choosing between Waddle, Smith or the last of the QB’s at 9 in that format. I am not a fan of Tonyan but give me another TE I like better and I would consider that side. As is, a little light as I don’t think many people value Tonyan all that much.12 team .5ppr SF, not involved

This time last year no one was willing to give much for Waller; this year I think tonyan is that guy- but not to the same degree. He should get enough targets and red zone looks to be a decent te this year. He was a te1 last year, and I’d expect him to be there again this year- somewhat depending on what they do in the draft.SF and 0.5PPR? There’s a chance the 1.09 turns into a better player than McLaurin, but the odds are slim. Put another way, even if you end up with a better result, it’s bad process.Last year if you owned the 1.09 you might have landed Jefferson there. The picks look very bad at the time of trades but then a year later they have a shot to turn into gold worth more than the players you traded away even though at the time the trades seem to be bad.
Last year I personally passed up Jefferson twice at the 1.08. In 3 of my leagues Jefferson went 1.09 or 1.10.
In another I got Swift at 1.08 and in yet another I got Akers at 1.10. Both those guys are worth tons more in startups right that than just about any player you could have possibly traded at the time.
Maybe last year was just an extraordinary draft class.
I even got Jefferson at 2.01 in a single QB FFPC. Yeah you can probably get a solid WR at 1.09 this year. I'll take the under on them vs Jefferson or McLaurin though. But you are 100% correct that some of those picks can really strike gold. Is that gold worth more than McLaurin though? Even if it does hit it's a lateral play most likely. I didn't see Swift go anywhere that late last year but I did see Akers. Those guys are going ahead of McLaurin and are 1st round startup picks. McLaurin is like late 3rd. Jefferson is 1st round. But it's more likely to be a WR like Waddle/Bateman/Marshall at 1.09 and just how big are they gonna hit? Like Jefferson or a stud RB? IDK. More than McLaurin is about to do with Fitz/Samuel/Gibson/Logan Thomas (and probably at least one more playmaker that they draft)? Highly doubtful. Again even if they hit it is probably a lateral move at best. Counting on McLaurin to drop in value seems dubious to me.Last year if you owned the 1.09 you might have landed Jefferson there. The picks look very bad at the time of trades but then a year later they have a shot to turn into gold worth more than the players you traded away even though at the time the trades seem to be bad.
You better hit on both picks.12 team, 1QB, PPR.

True enough but as we move closer to (and especially past) the draft even those deals night have fallen off the table. When rebuilding and you cant get what you think is a good deal for an established good vet just remember something...........its April. You got time. People change their mind a lot in the offseason. Just reach out periodically. Also, if some other big deal happens, that could be a catalyst to a deal for you.
Only thing you should be having remorse about is the robbery you committed against your fellow leaguemate.FFPC

I'm guessin' his team consisted of Cousins, Cook, Jefferson, Smith, Joseph, Min Def and you "generously gave" him Thielen? Second guess would be collusion....FFPC

Funny how fast things change in the NFL. Last year at this time JuJu was going well before Diggs in startups even with JuJu coming off a down injury year in 2019. I just looked now back on the 3 DFWC startups done last year and this is where these 2 guys went.Diggs. By a lot.
I believe the writing was on the wall during prospect analysis on Patterson. He was an athlete with lots of speed who wasn't much of a WR and he proved it early on in the NFL. I was fortunate enough to not get sucked into the Patterson black hole.I remember when Hopkins/Patterson came out as rookies were considered a toss up on who to take in rookie drafts then after their 1st year Patterson was going much higher then Hopkins in startups then a couple years later Patterson was a bust and Hopkins was one of the top WR's in the game for a long time.
To be fair you could easily say the same about Tyreek Hill.I believe the writing was on the wall during prospect analysis on Patterson. He was an athlete with lots of speed who wasn't much of a WR and he proved it early on in the NFL. I was fortunate enough to not get sucked into the Patterson black hole.
I like these kinds of trades if it's a deep draft, which it is. Good job.12 Team 1 QB PPR

Might depend on my roster but I'll take the youth of Jeudy. 2020 was a unusual year for rookies and Denver wasn't the model of success. In short, I think the book is still out on Jeudy and I'll take that potential.12-team 1QB PPR, deeper lineup/rosters

Maybe, but I prefer the one not coming off an achilles injury. Also think Davis will have more opportunities for touches.Isn’t that like 30 minutes before closing time at a local pub and you’re trying to decide which of the two ugly women left in the bar to buy a drink for?

I think Davis will get a lot of work on an underrated offense. He brings some stable production to a team that’s had a lot of volatility at rb.Isn’t that like 30 minutes before closing time at a local pub and you’re trying to decide which of the two ugly women left in the bar to buy a drink for?
You can take it to the bank that Atlanta will draft a RB that will probably be better than Davis. How soon he replaces him is anyone’s guess.I think Davis will get a lot of work on an underrated offense. He brings some stable production to a team that’s had a lot of volatility at rb.
This. If you think every player matters, then I think the Davis side made a good deal. Will ATL likely draft a RB? Yes, but you know Taylor and Hines are there in Indy, and Mack is coming off of an Achilles' tear. That usually is not a recipe for success.Maybe, but I prefer the one not coming off an achilles injury. Also think Davis will have more opportunities for touches.
Isn’t it bad enough that it’s gotten to that point and you would rather not spend that much money?I guess you could buy both a drink...
Like I said, it’s ugly no matter how you slice it. Especially in dynasty.This. If you think every player matters, then I think the Davis side made a good deal. Will ATL likely draft a RB? Yes, but you know Taylor and Hines are there in Indy, and Mack is coming off of an Achilles' tear. That usually is not a recipe for success.
I would be trying to get out from under all of them and have for some of them.At this point it sounds pretty certain that each of Edmunds, Mike Davis, Myles Gaskin, Tevin Coleman, Snell/McFarland, and Moss/Singletary are getting replaced by a top 3 back in this draft.
One or 2 of these guys is still going to be the starter after the draft. I'm wondering if I should double down in a league where I have a couple of them already!
No one's really buying any of them, at least not where I have Edmunds, Gaskin, or Davis. But there aren't that many good RBs in this class. If I've already got those 3, should I go get a few late picks for them, or go buy Tevin Coleman for cheap to increase my chances one gets through the draft as the starter? I'm thinking latter.I would be trying to get out from under all of them and have for some of them
I can't get anything of value for Edmonds, really. Arizona has the 16th and 49th pick of the draft. I'll be watching with bated breath. At this point it sounds pretty certain that each of Edmunds, Mike Davis, Myles Gaskin, Tevin Coleman, Snell/McFarland, and Moss/Singletary are getting replaced by a top 3 back in this draft.

This is where I am. I wouldn't voluntarily buy Tevin Coleman, though. He looked like utter toast last year, and he didn't get any younger. Just maybe healthier for a spell. No one's really buying any of them
I'm thinking latter.
