I think the K9 hate due to Charbs being there is overblown

“Hate” is a weird descriptor.

Charbs is in fact there, and will in fact hurt Walker’s chances at having a high ceiling.

Seems more like an observation than an emotional attribution, but to each their own I suppose.

I'm not necessarily meaning here but I am seeing people talk like Walker isn't still a great option and it is going to be a 50/50 split and is he even worth a mid 1st rounder anymore and I think that is an overreaction. Charbs is there and I do like him as a talent but I'd be more likely not to draft him than Walker. Depends on where they are ranked and I don't have him in dynasty but most fantasy communities overreact to things and in some online stuff it does appear to be the case with dropping Walker's value. Of course there is a slight cap but not many players are true workhorses these days anyways.

Walker’s value should drop. People paying for Walker like nothing happened or it’s only a mild cap are very likely to lose on that investment.

Maybe it won’t be 50-50, but 60-40 is on the spectrum of outcomes. They spent a 2nd round pick on Charbonnet for a reason. That reason was certainly not “depth” alone as some here are arguing.

And once again, not all touches are equal. Even if Charbonnet only gets 35% of the touches, but they include GL & majority of receptions, Walker’s value plummet’s precipitously.

Time will tell, but IMO it’s premature to suggest that all Charbonnet’s presence reflects is a slight ceiling cap for Walker.

Oh it should drop but my argument is that people are dropping/going to drop it too far. Walker was good in the redzone. I think it is more likely he loses receiving duties. Of course some of the other times Charbs will get touches but like I said, how many true workhorses that don't lose touches are there in the NFL? So everyone has a hit to their value for the most part outside of a few outliers.

Was rhinking the same on the Kamara deal. I always try to get out of RB investments around his age so I'm not left holding the bag, but the usage could give him possibly several more years. So I like the Kamara side.

I am Team A in the Kamara deal, so I shipped him for Dillon. A little more context, FFPC, so short rosters, and my RBs going into the rookie draft were Eckeler, Henry, Kamara, and Br.Robinson. I desperately wanted to get younger at that RB3 slot, and I don't have my 1st or 2nd this year, so it wasn't likely to come from the draft. I looked at it like I was shaving 3 years off, and picking up AJD who I still have high expectations for.
Kamara just scares me... the legal matter is the obvious concern, but he is also turning 28 in July, has seen a decline in efficiency, and the team has added a lot to that RB room. I just feel like the 70 catch/10+ TD seasons are not coming back. He may hold some value for the next couple years, but I don't think that will be RB1 value. He's a tough one to value right now, and I wasn't confident I was getting much more than that for him. I floated him to a couple other owners and they indicated they weren't interested in him.
Also, I am unreasonably high on AJD. If he can become the 1A, rather than the 1B, I really feel like he will be a rock solid RB2 who could flirt with top 12 if the TD's reach the high side of his range. He also has the age and low mileage to be a lead for a few years. This deal has been polarizing with the friends I've discussed it with. A couple love it, a couple think I was crazy.

I still really like AJD, and roster him in both of my dynasty leagues as my RB3 - he finished the year strong, and I expect GB to run a lot more with Love behind center.

I do have 2 non-PPR redraft leagues and I'm not a fan but they have been going for so long and I get out-voted when I have tried to get it changed. I think Walker is still a very solid RB2. Charbs could be a RB3 too but I don't see K9 not being a top 24 RB after what we saw last year personally.

I'm curious how much weight Engram is carrying in this deal. In other words, how much more added to 2.02 and 24 2nd is needed to get the 1.07.

Reason I ask is I just finished my rookie draft in 12 team, PPR, shallow bench. I picked Kincaid over Zay Flowers at 1.09 despite already having Kittle and Engram. I thought Engram would be tradable, but I got denied in an attempt to move up 7 spots in the 3rd round. (EE and 3.09 for 3.02). Having 3 TEs on roster is a nonstarter in this league.

Why do people always try to get that late round pick (ex 4.01 in your post) thrown in? I guess because they can. Sometimes I counter removing it from the deal.

Well these leagues are all FABB driven for waivers and RFA so I know I ask for it because I can try to sell the pick later for a few bucks. We also have large taxi rosters so that late flier is always better on my team than yours.

FWIW, Kamara turns 28 in July. His contract is interesting in that the Saints could cut him in 2024 for a small savings (or a large one if designated a post-June cut) but a it’s a large dead hit. I guess it will come down to if Andre Miller shows well and how much AK has left in the tank. I wouldn’t value AK much more than a mid to early 2nd right now.

I’ve never been a big fan of Dillon but I easily take his upside here. IF GB leans heavy on the run game with Rodgers gone, Dillon might finally deliver for his owners who have been patiently waiting. I’d say late 1st value for Dillon.

KTC has him at the 1.12. His real deal value is probably in the 2.01-2.03 range. He's spiked because Carolina was a dream location and they're talking about involving him in the pass game, unlike what Sirianni did. I roster him, so I'm possibly biased, but I'm ecstatic with his situation for next year. (Most of these guys are having serious trouble getting their second contract.)

Wow. This guy willingly bent over for you here. Dang. I think I'd have taken the Andrew deal and tried to move Waller for whatever I could get. I would smash accept DK or Andrews for the 1.12 as that feels like after a couple tier breaks in the draft for sure. Good pull.

Edit: may be the difference in starting positions since FFPC appears to be 1-2-2-1-2 flex vs 1-2-3-1- 1 Flex. One FFPC ADP I just pulled up has ETN as 32, Metcalf 34.
