I think I prefer the picks side of this, especially if the 24 1st and 2nd are likely top 4.

I tend to be a bit lower on Metcalf than most. I just worry about that QB situation. Was that the real Geno last year? If not, they seem like they could be stuck drafting too low to address the position with confidence.

I get not being as high on him but he was good with Russ when he was not playing well at all and Geno. I'm not sure that QB play is really going to hurt him a ton. I do agree with you, this feels like the pick side due to the range but the pick above where DK went for 2.12 and a 24 2nd is criminally low. This feels like fair value even for someone that likes DK.

I get this is TEP and every team has different needs but this feels like selling very low on a big time fantasy asset at WR who isn't old. No way I make this trade. I could get behind it more if that 24 pick was a 1st but a 2nd that you don't know where it is seems dangerously low and losing many trades like this would seriously harm your dynasty team.

I hear you but I don't think it's a bad deal at all, especially if he's deep at WR. There's a lot of mouths to feed in Seattle now and DK has never been a high volume guy, he's a TD dependant crap shoot week to week.

I'm ok with that take and fine with moving him but this just feels way too light. That is basically 2 2nds. I'd even be more ok with this if it was SF. Just too light. Feels like trading him just to trade him at that point and not getting good value. Curious, did he shop DK and this was the best offer he could get or just took it because he wanted to get in to the 1st this year for a TE maybe?

Several deals had gone down. Several folks rejected my modest offer for their 2nd rounders.

I’m comfortable with this. Feels really solid to get 1.15 & still have 2.16.

It wasn’t free. lol

He big question is whether I have the guts to take rookie pick 1.02 if I miss on the QBs in the next few picks, rather than a Lamb or AJB.

It’s a tough call. I’d rather take a player.

Shoo, you don’t even need “average QB 12-15 range”. You need “not Trent Dilfer range”. Terry’s a lock for 70/1,000 if healthy which sounds very useful in your format. He’s done that three straight years with Heinicke, Haskins, Wentz, Kyle Allen, and the corpse of Alex Smith.

I’m not very up to speed on 24 draft picks but as long as it’s not super early I like your side.

No, really - stop laughing.

I mean it’s a thousand times better than Jones, that’s for sure. At least with him you know he can play and it’s just a matter of health. I’m not passing on studs like Lamb and AJB for shaky QBs like that though.

IMO the league is starting to get comfortable with an approach of churning QB more quickly. Aim for the moon or go with budget options like Howell or Ridder. If coaches didn’t worry about their jobs year to year and took a longer view, they’d do this much more frequently. So no, Superflex or not, I’m out on spending early picks on obviously crappy QBs just because they have a job right now, because those leashes are getting shorter every day.

I get it. But if you own him, are you parting with him for less?
I am a huge Jeudy truther. He came on strong to close out the season. his route running is a gift from the heavens. And russ can't possibly be worse.
Am I taking a chance? Sure. But he's still mega young, uber talented, and might even be playing elsewhere sooner than later.

I know when we draft we're throwing darts in the hopes of landing someone that surprises us with fantasy value, but we want to avoid roster cloggers wherever possible. I think most of those come from the WR and TE position. With RBs, we don't have any issue of dropping a dart throw when they don't work out, but hesitate on those lower tiered WRs. With TEs, a lot of fantasy players don't have enough patience for them to develop. Just my observation.
