He’s also a UFA in 2027

The Vikes could keep him on roster until 2028 by executing his 5th year option. I'd expect them to extend Addision before that happens though. If CIN can do it with Chase/Higgins, MIN can do it with Jefferson/Addison. The beauty is that their contract timing is different, so ostensibly they won't need to extend both WRs at the same time, unlike CIN.

Well I would say this trade turned out ok.

The guy who I got the 1st round pick from finished 7th place just missing the playoffs in the regular season and went on to win me the 1.01 pick.

I also made another deal same league with this guy I gave up Doubs and my 2025 4th for his 2025 2nd which netted me 2.01

I don't know I don't think that is quite good enough for me. I am looking at my board and I see 3 or 4 potential multi years starters at 1.10. I like Addison but he isn't a difference maker (IMO) and I'd rather roll the dice that I can find one. If the top half goes mostly RBs, as is expected, then 1.10 might very well be a stud WR. If it isn't there is still a good chance it's no worse than Addison.

I also think there is room for two fantasy relevant stud pass catchers on the same team and that has been true for many years. I do think Addison can be that guy and has shown flashes of it so far. So I wouldn't fault anyone for preferring that side and I see the logic of it. I'm just not sure I'd want that over 1.10 today as we sit here.

Another potential outcome is a starting RB at 1.10 and I'd autosnap a trade offer that ended up being my Addison for a starting rookie RB. If my dart throw at WR at 1.10 misses, so be it that's why we play this silly hobby. But I like the spot.

I believe he had 10 touchdowns each of his first two years, which puts him in pretty elite company. I liked him better than every receiver in his draft class other than JSN and still do. He’d be WR2 in this class quite easily.

I pretty much agree with everything you are saying.

The fact it's best ball does elevate his value but even in that FFPC BB tournament right now he's going just a few spots ahead of rookie 7 and I expect once some landing spots are known, especially for RB's, that will fall a little, will be close to 1.10.

I think it's an equitable trade on the whole.

I'm not very deep into my board yet. Have barely scouted 24 players but this top 12 or so you listed is very close to what I see. If the non-Ward QBs go in the 1st round (of rookie drafts) I'd be ecstatic and that would only increase the value of the 1.10 in this scenario in my mind (because I don't have those two QBs in the top 12 at the moment). There are 3 or 4 WRs in particular in that range that can make a case for top WR out of the class. I know that might not mean much to many but IDK I like rolling the dice that I'll find someone just as solid as Addison in fantasy. Acknowledging he has done well and like I said I understand preferring the other side.

The word has been good on the two Saints WR's recovery but they also get linked a lot to Tet in round one because they don't have much behind them. Sheeds in last year of his deal, Olave as well but they can decide, by May 1 I believe, to pick up his 5th year option which would be a no brainer for $15m and I think they do it but he's entering Jordan Reed level of concussion concerns even if he's under contract.

I’ve owned Henry since he was a rookie. Love that dude. But I’d take the 1.07 for him

If you’re still competing maybe a questionable move. If you’re not in that window 1.07 is probably fine for Henry.

Every great running back is great right up until they’re not. The older they get the closer the cliff approaches. At some point this trade is going to look brilliant.

It might even be this year. Father Time is undefeated, though Henry has been fighting him off like hell the last several years.

I pretty much have to do this kind of trade anytime it presents itself.

If you did not have Hall might have been something to think about but him, pick 7 plus rest of whatever picks you own in a super deep RB draft puts you in a good situation to thanks for your service King and try to extend the value gained from your original Henry acquisition, make it the gift that keeps giving.

Even if Henry might technically be worth more than the 1.07, I think that there are likely only a few teams in the league interested in Henry, whereas nearly everyone in the league should have interest in the 1.07. Basically, you open up pathways to more trade partners by having the pick instead of an aging RB.

In a 1 QB FFPC league, I got an offer yesterday of 1.10 and 3.08 for Olave and 3.11. He withdrew it later in the day, then today sent 1.10 and 3.08 for Olave (without a pick from my side). I took it. It's a win-now team with no 1st or 2nd this year, but Olave kind of scares me. Like Joey's trade of Derrick Henry, I just think it would be much easier to trade the pick than to find someone willing to take Olave, and it seems that 1.10 is right around his value anyway.
