Yeah, I mean I like most players if the price is right.Don’t really love him either, but for the 3.05, he might be able to get in for a few starts.

There is not a league where I would trade Pacheco for the 3.5. He is worth more. His injury was very similar to Pollard's, and Pollard did not start being himself again until the second year after his injury. Pacheco is going through his age-26 season. He should respond well this season unless this is a league where there are contracts, and there is a need to unload him or lose him or some penalty for keeping him. He is a clear hold for the 3.5. I suppose if you wanted to throw a dart, it makes sense.building off my acquisition of Godwin.
12 team FFPC SF league
Lots of back and forth on this one. The other owner wanted the 2.05 for Pacheco, worked him down to the 3.05 for I Pacheco. My team is needy at RB, so this seemed like decent risk/price.
Gave 3.05
Got I Pacheco
Same league, a bit of negotiations were needed here as well.
Gave 1.02 and a 2026 3rd
Got M Penix
My QB room is J Daniels, B Young and M Penix, so I am feeling much better this off season than I was last year. I will also add that the league gave me hard time for taking Daniels over MHJ last rookie draft at the 1.02. I felt confident at the time and now I feel great about that decision.
I bought this orphan a few years ago and I feel like I finally have a competitive team.
I think 2.5 is about right. I can see a better dart throw at 2.5, but even then, it is still a dart throw—a much better dart, however.
I don't play SF so no comment on the Penix trade but like this a great deal.Gave 3.05

People are too down on Pachecho. Let me put it this way, I'm 7 drafts into this season and have already drafted him more then in 42 drafts last year.
It's like they got the guy in their head who came back from his injury and was not the same guy. Now he probably won't get that volume like he did to end 2023 and opening last year but he's a long way away from that guy who Andy Reid said last week was playing with an injury most players would not have returned from last season. Love discounts on players who let people down the previous season and I think this is what you got.
Well 43, forgot the local league but 18 of them are BB, no management. Know many people who do more, but always trying to cut back a few. Wednesday blind bid waivers is like a part time job.42 leagues?I don't play SF so no comment on the Penix trade but like this a great deal.Gave 3.05

I've found that 6 dynasty / devy leagues is my sweet spot. I want to be able to give my full attention to all my leagues without it becoming a part-time job. Plus, I'm in 1 dynasty baseball league that includes minor leaguers and that league is more work than all my football leagues combined and I commish 4 of the football leagues.Oh. OK. Depends on the league. Can you not trade or pickup free agents in Best Ball leagues then?
So you’re saying I should feel bad for the other guy?!There is not a league where I would trade Pacheco for the 3.5. He is worth more. I didn't bother responding before and you summed up a lot of what I was thinking. Pacheco for a mid-3rd is absurd. If someone wants to argue the 2.05 is a no go due to the risk KC adds someone in the draft, OK sure. It's a risk, but not a strong one it will be a Day 2 or better guy given their other holes IMO. But out of 10 other teams no one would offer better than 3.05 even with FFPC's cut down rules?
Edit: I guess it would be 10 other teams, not 12 but the point still stands. Owner should have shopped around

Besides the reasons I listed previously as to why 6 dynasty leagues is the sweet spot for me, I think those who play in 40 or 50 leagues and say they plan to cut 3 here or 6 there, is the part of dynasty as a commissioner I dislike. Having to find replacements for teams that aren't really into it for the long haul. I take it that the leagues you're cutting, some are those that don't have as good of a outlook long term, or are filled with geezers and / or limited picks? I think playing in so many leagues leads to these kind of situations, not being able to give all of them the same dedication equally that is needed. I'm sure you will say you are leaving several leagues in a good situation and some may not, but as a commish I've seen a lot of teams that aren't left in good shape. I'm sure many of these owners play in too many leagues and leave some teams bare of assets because they lacked the time or effort to make said teams the best they could be. I know this doesn't apply to every situation and some take on too many leagues and life itself changes their ability to manage them, maybe including yours. But mostly, I think owners who take on 40 or 50+ leagues play the game of when one goes bad they dump it. This can be a big headache for dynasty commissioners. As commissioner the biggest reason owners dump leagues that I've seen is they say they are cutting back. As I've realized, most, but not all, are they have run their team into the ground with geezers and / or no picks, or both. Just my opinion. That and the 8 dynasty leagues.Oh. OK. So only 25 that you have to manage weekly. That makes sense.Well 43, forgot the local league but 18 of them are BB, no management. Know many people who do more, but always trying to cut back a few. I actually cut 4 leagues out from 2023. Trying to cut 3 more out this year but not sure I'll be able to hold myself to it. There is nothing I like more then a dynasty startup and I've only done one since 2016, the Sharkpool league, because I don't want to add more.
It's a lot but like I said earlier there are people who blow this number away in the national type contests, some people are in the hundreds. I truly don't know how they do it, maybe have assistants? Setting lineups for that many teams is not really an issue, the work is the blind bid waivers.
No sir, could not be further from the case.I take it that the leagues you're cutting, some are those that don't have as good of a outlook long term, or are filled with geezers and / or limited picks?

I wouldn't know because I don't play or commish in FFPC. I know from experience people leave leagues after after their team becomes terrible. Collecting deposits for initially joining leagues is mostly irrelevant because most owners play more than 1 year. As for collecting deposits on traded future picks, that works up to a point. At the end of the day, I've seen owners play dynasty like they play redraft and "Go for it", without regards to the future and often times their team ends up with very few meaningful long term assets, so they bail.Besides the reasons I listed previously as to why 6 dynasty leagues is the sweet spot for me, I think those who play in 40 or 50 leagues and say they plan to cut 3 here or 6 there, is the part of dynasty as a commissioner I dislike. I think guys who play in dozens of leagues are doing so through sites like FFPC, which collects a one-time deposit (often at least half of the yearly dues, often more) when you join the league, specifically because guys will abandon teams (forfeiting their deposit), so FFPC does get some money back when that happens. (This isn't taking into account the rake that FFPC collects.)

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that “Derek Carr is now dealing with a shoulder injury that threatens his availability for this season.”
Rapoport adds that “Carr is weighing options, including the possibility of surgery.” Just eight days ago, Rapoport also reported that the Saints “could end up taking a quarterback” in the 2025 NFL Draft. Carr is not viewed as the long-term answer in-house, but the fully guaranteed $40 million salary he is owed for 2025 was thought to at least pencil him in as the early-season starter. Carr’s odds of contributing meaningfully as a 2025 fantasy asset are quickly diminishing. The development could also spur a move from Aaron Rodgers, who has been in talks with the Steelers for some time now.

I am pretty sure he did shop around, FYI. I just stood my ground at 3.05. We had like 10 or so back and forth, to which I always countered with the 3.05. My last counter had a message that “this is my last counter, take it or Leave it.”

But why .gif?news, but we really wanted to get rid of Darnold
I have Darnold as a 3rd QB in a SF league, but I’m going to let his value build a while. Right now seems like a terrible time to sell since the community is so low on him. Couple of 300+ yard games and his value is gonna take a massive leap.
The Carr owner in that league has already hit me up on GroupMe asking if he’s available. Imagine how much more he’ll pay in October.

Seattle will need to something about adding some weapons for him to be successful (and probably beef the oline). I do not see it a given that his value will rise anytime soon. But why .gif?news, but we really wanted to get rid of Darnold

There’s talk of them drafting a WR early. A good rookie, JSN, and Kupp should be just fine, along with MVS and Bobo. I see him as an injury filler and bye-week guy with upside. He reminds me of Teddy Gin Jr. in that way. If the Colts trade him, or he goes somewhere else in free agency, his numbers could increase. I think he will be a free agent next year. The concern with Alec Pierce is the crowded room; they could draft Warren or Loveland. That said, he can go off in any given week.25-man rosters. 4-man taxi squad slots and 4-man IR.12-team dynasty 1QB PPR performance scoring four-round rookie draft.

Not a big Pierce guy but that's a no-brainer...you can't trust him but he's still only 24 and always a threat to go off and definitely worthy of a roster spot...hopefully the week you need to play him is the 3-125-2 game

Has the community ever been "high" on Darnold? Isn't the likelihood of him throwing a couple 300+ yard games the same as him throwing a couple two-interception, one-TD games?
Last year at this time, Darnold was on the wire in FFPC superflex leagues and you could get him for a 4th-round pick (vets are available in the FFPC rookie draft player pool). We traded Hollywood Brown and what turned out to be the 3.12 for Darnold and Minshew a couple weeks before the season, so even when Darnold was known to be the starter, he was cheap. (In another Triflex league, right before Halloween, I got both Darnold and DK Metcalf for a 2025 1st, at a time when Darnold was an every-week superflex starter, so even then his value wasn't that high.) It's also highly league-specific -- nearly all of the other teams have three QBs already, and, of the ones that didn't, only one was even interested in Darnold. Yes, it sucks that the QB we got to replace him is now probably hurt, but I think if you can get a reasonable return for him now, then you should.
They added Kupp and will likely draft a WR.Seattle will need to something about adding some weapons for him to be successful (and probably beef the oline). I do not see it a given that his value will rise anytime soon. But why .gif?news, but we really wanted to get rid of Darnold

2. I’m in 3 SF leagues and Darnold was rostered in all 3. He was on the FA list in zero of my leagues. That’s simply a false assertion.
Same with all my SF FFPC leagues.Last year at this time, Darnold was on the wire in FFPC superflex leagues and you could get him for a 4th-round pick (vets are available in the FFPC rookie draft player pool).
FPPC is a small roster IIRC?I guess I'm confused why you're saying what I wrote is false. I did five FFPC superflex rookie/vet drafts last May. Darnold went 4.09, 5.06 and 5.12. In a startup FFPC superflex league I did last June, Darnold was the 35th QB off the board, taken in the last round (20th). I get that you think he's valuable and that he will continue to perform as a top-12 QB. I'm telling you that, in the FFPC superflex leagues that I play in, he's not valued that way, and I don't think he will be.
1) Quite a haul for Allen but I get it. He’s a real strategic advantage at QB in any league and he always plays. Set and forget stud. Was offered 2 trades in FFPC standard yesterday.
1) my Josh Allen for 1.8,1.10 and 2026 1st
Couldn't hit reject fast enough
From same owner about an hour later
2) my Justin Fields for 3.8,4.8 and 2026 3rd
