****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (28 Viewers)

because deals like this go down every year where a guy punts and trades all his good players to 1 or 2 guys and then they win.
Just had a dude in my main 16 team IDP league announce a rebuild in group chat. I was one of the only people who saw it so I swooped in and dealt almost all my draft picks for his best defensive players + Pitts.

I was the 1-seed and top scorer & added Terrell Bernard, Aiden Hutchinson, & Grant Delpit to my defense.

The rest of the league was none too pleased. But like you said, that’s dynasty.

Why?

I mean the why seems obvious in this one. One guy is rebuilding, one guy is going for it. Yes he probably should've gotten more for the players, but selling aging players, especially in the offseason, you usually have to take below market value. No is excited to trade for any of those guys right now.
Patience. I am great with a team rebuilding. To me you are either a contender or a guy who is rebuilding. The guys in between have wasted their dollars.,But just rebuilding and taking less than market value is also an error. A guy in my home league just did the same. But he was not aggressive. Now his trades are a little different as rookie draft gone by. Draft fever though can run rampant. I don’t think he got max value but maybe a guy like Dez did not have any value. I know I traded Jordan Addison to get a late 1st and mid 2nd. Acquired Mason Taylor and Jack Bech in PPR league and very happy with that outcome. Hope guy trading Brown has a plan. 2026 1.1 not looking as juicy as last 2. Now 2027 1.1 looks very juicy. And how much does it cost to move up in drafts. Too many factors. Hate what my league guy did because he was passive. Thus he added 3 1st, late 2nd, mid 3rd plus 27 2nd to his arsenal but think he should have added more. Fav for 1.1 now.

Hmm… I’m not sure I love the return on Bucky there. I like Herbig, but I don’t see him as a DE1.

there’s value there, but IMO not quite enough.

It’s weird because AJB is in his prime. He had a little bit of a down year but IMO that was an anomaly.

I get not wanting to buy on Andrews, but Jeudy isn’t that old, and Cook seems like a dude a lot of owners are high on.

Every league is different. Lots of owners are not excited to trade for guys like those, and some leagues are full of them.

As to the 2026 1.1, it's way too early for that. No one cared about Ashton Jeanty this time last year.

Eh, it's all relative. 3 years ago Stefon Diggs, Hopkins, Tyreek, and Amari Cooper were all in their prime.

His value will only decline from here on out. People like to say hold until the regular season when someone needs him but then you run the risk of an injury or underperformance that, at his age, completely tanks his value instantly.

In my high-ish stakes league where I have AJB and badly need a RB, I offered AJB+1.11 for any top 4 pick this year and was rejected by all of them without counter. He's a hard guy to move right now at fair value, as is Cook.

I don't know anyone that's high on Cook. Classic example of a guy whose past production outweighs his value (especially since most believe the TD numbers were flukey high), and a guy that could be tossed aside at any minute.

Again, he certainly undersold, but I get it.

Big difference between a top 4 pick and pick 9 or 10

I, personally, am very low on him, but mostly it’s because he very much wants a contract ($10M I think he said?) and it would seem the Bills are very indifferent to his wants and needs.

That very often leads to holdouts or otherwise messy ambiguity.

Ray Davis might be the sneaky acquisition, but that’s just a theory.

Absolutely. Especially this year where that appears to be a value cliff.

Absolutely. Especially this year where that appears to be a value cliff.

It's 14 team TEP though so I think that extends that cliff to right to around 1.11 since the 1st round TEs will have good value in that format. Those two picks are two of Kaleb/Loveland/Warren/Egbuka.

I think a lot of people would take Kaleb straight up over Cook, especially in a rebuild. Jeudy isn't fetching more than a 2nd.

So that leaves AJB/Andrews for two 1sts, one of which is late and the other likely top 3. I think that's pretty reasonable, especially since AJB can barely fetch ~1.05 or so this year.

Again, it's not great, but it's reasonable given the likely circumstances.

Agree it’s not that egregious, but definitely left a little meat on the bone.

Agree getting 2x 1sts for AJB+Andrews is a nice return, since Andrews is likely a very short-term investment.

Team picking 1.7 was OTC a few weeks ago in one of my FFPC drafts in trade talks involving me giving Chase Brown for 1.7 and plus. We stalled out on the plus with the other owner offering me a third and telling me it was the best he'd do. I declined and he immediately:

Gave: 1.7, 2026 second, 2026 third, and Courtland Sutton

For: AJB

1qb normal ppr

I give: Oduze, Guerendo, 1.8
Get: Barkley, Adoni Mitchell

He wants to get younger and has CMC. I have Jefferson, Garrett Wilson, Higgins, Diggs, shakir, shaheed, Alec pierce, and Coker on the ts. I have absolutely no one at rb Tracy, Warren, Pacheco, Javonte Williams and Isiah Davis on ts.
QB is burrow and te is friermouth. Going for the chip this year.

Edit - I feel like I could be able to trade Higgins and not suffer that much, if it means grabbing another running back or a higher first. Or should I just roll with what Ive got

I understand dangling Barkley because he is 28 and his value will never be higher but I'm not a fan of the return here...you need to squeeze out more...Odunze is a nice piece but not what I would want as the main piece for an elite player like Barkley...the 1.8 needs to be higher (especially in this year's draft) or there should be another solid pick added in...Guerendo is a sneaky good add-on but not enough to move the needle when combined with Odunze and 1.8...this is a great move for you and takes your team to another level and you did not have to go deep into your roster to do it...you could turn around and deal Barkley for a much better return right now if you wanted to do...continuing with my "add-on" pet peeve of the off-season in this thread it is not a big deal but why in the world are you getting anything more than Barkley for what you are giving up.
The other team has decided to blow it up for the first time in over ten years and nobody wants to trade with him cause he's an ***. Originally I probably could have gotten Barkley for less, but I ended up tipping my hand. Grabbing Mitchell was my way of getting back the value I could have had if I didn't let him know I would add on to 8 and Odunze period.

Funny, we have a dude like that in one of my leagues.

Took 3-4 days and people finally started making deals with him, but he’s gotten the short end of every one.

It’s gonna be interesting to see how well he does with his rebuild when he left so much value on the table in every deal, but it’s a good lesson in being a quality league mate that people want to deal with.

FF is a group activity. Working and playing well with others goes a long way. All my leagues use GroupMe these days, and I find it to be the most valuable trade tool. With a quick message I can learn what owners are looking for in return, (because most don’t write it when putting players OTB) and often hash out deals so it’s an “offered/accepted” In 1 go.

Certainly beats guessing & spamming offers to prospective trade partners.

16 team IDP 1 QB TE 1.5 PPR (not involved)
Well here is a rough one. A guy just bought a team and apparently is going to rebuild does not even shop him around.

Justin Jefferson
for
Josh Downs
1.09
2.09
So the guy who took over a team and decided to rebuild and got the shaft giving up Jefferson for 1.09, 2.09 and Downs then traded away that 1.09 pick

He dealt away the 1.09 for a 2026 1st and 2nd (they were the 1st and 2nd of the guy's picks who got Jefferson and is the favorite to win the league)
So that would be picks 16 and 32 or something close to that.

So now the trade is Jefferson for Downs, 2.09, A late 2026 1st (13-16 range most likely) and a late 2026 2nd (29-32 most likely)

That is all kinds of bad. If he at least took a guy at 1.09 there was a chance that guy could have become a great player now to roll the dice on a 13-16 range pick in 2026 wow.

Just one of the worst trades of all time on current value.

How do you not shop Jefferson around to entire league is what I don't understand before making a deal with that caliber of player.

This was a league that was started with a group of guys who knew each other and has been running for 15-20 years, so there's literal decades of infighting. This is my 4th year (Garrett Wilson was my first pick) so I should be competing for the chip.

In general though, you're very right about how FF is a group activity and it's much easier to talk trade with someone who isn't constantly pooping in the sandbox. Had a guy in another league who would make you a trade where he would tell you all of the guys he was trading for were crap and he didn't even like them and the 4th string rb he was offering in return was the second coming of Barry Sanders. Then why are you trading him bro?

Maybe it's different for me because my leagues are either with people who I've been introduced to by already knowing a member or my league that met online 23 years ago, but I just send people a text. "Hey I'm interested in talking about a trade centered around my x,y,z for your a,b,c. Get back to me when you're free". I know personally even if I think the value I'm getting offered is insulting, I'd still feel like that was the opening to a conversation as opposed to a cold-call style trade offer. And sometimes a player isn't available until you make a good offer. I know I'm not putting justin Jefferson on the trade block... But the guy with three firsts hasn't texted me yet.

12 team 1 QB FFPC

I traded away Javonte Williams
for
2026 2nd round pick

What a sad day for me he was 1 of my core 4 players I took in the 2022 FFPC startup draft. I only had 4 picks in the top 12 rounds as I punted year 1 trading for 5 future 1st (giving me 6 for 2023 rookie draft plus a few 2nds)

My core 4 were
1.03 Justin Jefferson
1.08 Javonte (Lamb went 1.07 brutal)
4.05 TJ Hockenson
4.07 Justin Herbert
The only other pick the entire draft that worked out for me was Romeo Doubs in round 20 who I traded last year midseason for a future 2nd which turned into the 2.01 which I traded this year for a 2026 1st round pick

I was a huge believer in Javonte from the day he was drafted by Denver I had him ranked as my 1.04 that rookie draft and traded up in 2 leagues to snag him at 1.07 when he fell.
This is now the 2nd league I have traded him away in and now left with just 1 share.

The FFPC has a roster crunch of 20 players in season followed by 14 positional players each March 31st so with 4 good RBs already rostered (Bijan, Gibbs, Jeanty, Chase Brown) it was time to see if I could sell Javonte. Really planned on keeping him this year and seeing if he could bounce back but on this team would only be a depth piece and moving him allows me to keep 1 other player or make 1 other waiver wire move during the season.

I remember trying very hard to trade that 1.08 startup pick to add another 1st and then some but was not offered anything great at the time (5.01/7.01/future 1st that turned into late one) was my best offer. I countered 4.12/5.01+future 1st he said no so I drafted Javonte.

Fair enough. I would take the side with the pic to have the dart throw on a rookie there. Doubs doesn't move the needle for me at all and Tracy isn't going be very valuable if Skattebo gets work.

I would definitely buy Tracy for that.

I like Skattebo a lot but if an encumbent is that cheap because of a 4th round pick coming in behind them it is 100% worth taking a shot at the incumbent at those prices. There is a very plausible world where Skattebo either sucks or never really gets into the picture at all.

12 team PPR Dynasty League (we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 reg flex)

Gave: 1.9 and 2.5 picks
Got: 1.6 pick
Affordable move-up - who's your target at 6?
My team needs RB and WR help. I now have the 1.5 and 1.6 picks so I'm guessing I'll end up with 2 of Henderson, Judkins, and Hunter. I know the top 2 are almost locks for Jeanty/Hampton and while I don't know where 1.3 is going I know for sure 1.4 owner wants Tet. Best guess is I'll get Hunter and one of the OSU RBs. I could use both positions though (roster below) and if Hunter and Tet go 1.3 and 1.4 I'm happy with both OSU RBs since I don't have much proven weekly scoring from my RB stable right now.

Stafford, Penix, Cousins
Chase Brown, Brian Robinson, Dobbins, Ford, Corum, Gibson, McNichols, Jonathon Brooks
McLaurin, Addison, Deebo, Doubs, Diontae Johnson, Slayton, Dotson
LaPorta, Pitts, Taysom Hill
Picks 1.5, 1.6, 2.9, 3.5, 3.9, 4.5

TE Prem (1.75), start QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, 2 flex, and a Superflex.

Gave: 2027 1st (my own, hoping late)
Got: Jameson Williams

WR corps was thin behind Jefferson, BTJ, Devonta. Now have Jameson as a WR4/flex while I hope one of the many rookies I drafted (Kyle Williams, Pat Bryant, Jaylin Noel) can emerge as additional depth.

Still have another 2027 1st from a previous trade (projected early-mid as that team is getting old and has sold all his 2026 and 2027 picks already!)

I offered a 2026 1st for Jamo and it was declined - I was a little surprised by that, but you scored. I think Williams is worth it, and will continue to be even if he’s not a lion in a year or so.

12 team non-ppr, not involved

A. Mitchell, WR IND + S. Darnold, QB SEA
for
B. Allen RB NYJ
1 QB league?

It seems like a lot for Allen regardless, but if this is SF, it’s really bad.

If 1 QB it’s merely a massive overpay.
yeah 1 QB (6pts all TD) with some IDP and deep rosters, which inflates QB values because none are ever available on waiver wire.

14 team 1 QB PPR 1.5 TE (not me)

Kyle Pitts
5.05

Okonkwo
3.12

How the mighty have fallen

Trading for Kyle Pitts was the worst move of any trade I ever made and my team is still trying to recover going on year 4 after it.

No is excited to trade for any of those guys right now.
It’s weird because AJB is in his prime. He had a little bit of a down year but IMO that was an anomaly.

I get not wanting to buy on Andrews, but Jeudy isn’t that old, and Cook seems like a dude a lot of owners are high on.

In my high-ish stakes league where I have AJB and badly need a RB, I offered AJB+1.11 for any top 4 pick this year and was rejected by all of them without counter. He's a hard guy to move right now at fair value, as is Cook.

If I'm sitting at 3 or 4 and staring at Tet or Hunter as my pick, I would take your offer in a heartbeat.
