Having a second date tomorrow morning. Tried to go out of the box a little by making it early in the day as opposed to doing the same things at night. Going to be picking her up at 8:30 am for coffee, then a long drive across town to walk the Japanese Gardens, sushi for lunch and then a new museum exhibit once it gets too hot to be outside.
Although I have to say, with the amount of sexual tension in our banter and texts since date one, I give it a 50/50 shot that we never leave her place.
Being single is fun.

Glad to hear it Bogart. You deserve it! I got a message yesterday from out of state saying if she lived in Michigan she'd like to buy me a drink. Strange how an out of state girl would even send a message. She's not very attractive but, if she was, I'd respond and see if there was a possible booty call that could be arranged. Very strange though that I got the message in the first place.

Just don't reply.This actually could help those out on OKCupid, if you get a bunch of messages you don't reply to, eventually your reply ratio will drop from "replies often" to "replies selectively". I think I eventually started getting a better response rate when my profile showed me as "selective".Yeah, I got a wink on match from a lady I wasn't interested in. So I sent her that "sorry, not interested" response and the next day she sent me a message.

I would concur... I applaud the originality but that feels a bit ambitious unless there is just "OMG, THE ONE" chemistry already. Two dates mashed together. The talk during our first date was that she regretted never going to Japan when her sister lived there. I had a girl just write me back to say she figured out my name from the information in my messages and a google search. She then gave me her number to call/text her and said she was comfortable giving me her info since she was able to run my name through a criminal background check and I passed.

I've been talking off and on with a girl on OKC recently.
We had talked a couple months ago and then she went silent.
I saw that she had looked at my profile again recently so one night when I was drunk, I sent her a note.
The hitch? Well, I know her in real life - she's one of my boss's best friends.
My boss hates mixing work and pleasure more than anyone I have ever met.
Oh and I knew why she went silent - she had gotten back together with her ex.
Now that she's done with him, I figured it might be good to see what I can make happen.
She's fun, adventurous, loves to drink. And she makes some good loot.
The only thing is that she said since I put I'm only looking for a 6-12 mo relationship on OKC and she's looking for forever, we will just start out as friends. I think we're getting together for drinks on Tuesday

No, I wouldn't think so. Most women are "no pic, no response." I'm below average, especially for L.A., but I'm up front about it with my pics, which definitely helps my confidence when I do get a reply and I do meet them in person. I figure "Hey, if it doesn't work out, it's for reasons other than my looks."

Met up with the cute 22-yo half Filipina chick last night for a couple of beers (also shared an appetizer). It went very well, we hung out for about 2.5 hours and had a pretty good time talking. Some gay guy at the next table came over on his way out to tell us he could feel our chemistry and to wish us good luck .
Turns out her dad is like 20 years older than her mom, and I guess that's why she was willing to go out with me. She was really very pretty, with nice hooters. BUT, she was definitely larger than what I am attracted to. Had somewhat of a gut and big ###, and you put that on a 5'10" frame I just don't think I could be that attracted. Was soooooo disappointed. She's really pretty and I thought everything else was good. But for me the bod is basically a non-starter. :(

Also, 23-yo blonde stalker told me about being in AA. It was definitely alcohol, and she said she started very young. Got some treatment and has been sober for 7 months. Said my friend asked her out and they went out once to a movie, but that she sees him more like her dad and is not attracted to him at all. So I guess it's all good.

Picked her up early, headed towards the Gardens, skipped getting coffee alltogether. Stayed at the Gardens for only about 30 mins before we both decided that it was too hot to be there. Played it pretty alpha, holding her hand, sneaking a few kisses. She was clearly eating it up.Too early for lunch, we decide to check out the new exhibit at the museum. Date was going perfect. Being an artist and becoming an art teacher, this was her wheelhouse. She had never seen a Warhol in person and there were two. Two Pollocks as well. The Lucian Freud exhibit was very interesting, even to a art caveman like myself.Lunch was great. If it's your thing, you really can't go wrong with sushi as a date meal. Easy discussion on what you like and don't like. Typically you are sharing what you order. Good times.We make it back to her place, all alone, and things get interesting. And then nothing. She clams up. Playing it cool, I stick around and look at her art for another 30 mins and then leave. She texts almost imediately how perfect the date was, that she was sorry she was shy, and that she does want me. Guess that is enough to get her a third date.I go with some family and friends to watch Savages last night and the girl that hasn't been responding to my texts suddenly decides to text me.
