Hmmm, okay. I think I am changing my tune here. The first few days on EH were mostly girls older than me and weighed more than I do contacting me. The last couple of days have been much better and a huge confidence boost. On EH the girls chase the guys. It is a huge difference than OKC. Two dates for next week already and working on others.
I'll post some pics of the ones that do not work out or whatever, but am going to wait until after that initial meeting.

EH is really, really improving the quality as I go along. It's impressive. The only issue this causes though is I've already started down the road of communicating with other girls. Now there is a bit of a timing issue because it takes time to ramp with the newer/better ones.
Also note, I'm surprised by how much work EH is. There are so many freaking steps. Still, the girls are improving massively which is good.

Went on two dates last week. It being July 4th weekend really didn't help things. Had another date planned, but the girl had to postpone...
Date 1 was with a 34 year old teacher. She looked good in most of her photos. There were a couple that were questionable. Unfortunately, the questionable ones turned out to be more accurate. We met for a couple of drinks at an Italian place. I was ready to head out after drink number 1, but I guess I am too nice for this #### so I stayed. We ended up staying there for a few hours chatting which I figured at a minimum was good practice for me. After drink 4 she started looking somewhat better which I new meant it was time to bail out. Have not talked to her since.
Date 2 was a lunch (my idea which for reference was a terrible idea because there is not enough alcohol involved). This was with a 30 year old who's photos were also mostly good, but a couple that were questionable. She came in and I was in shock. She was super hot and had huge cans. She was in the range of offdee 7.5 maybe an 8 if we were out at night. Since I was not drinking and I was basically in shock by her, I panicked. I brought my D game which was unfortunate for me. We will not be talking again either which is completely my fault. Oh well... still getting the hang of this.
The good news is I have one date planned for tomorrow night and two more in the work for later in the week. All appear hot in their photos.
One of the ones for later in the week has me a bit paranoid. Her pics are some of the hottest I've seen on EH. My concern is she always responds immediately... like within an hour of when I send her a message. She claims she just joined the site 3 days ago and I was her first match. She seems a little too eager and too good to be true. I have a gut feeling that something is wrong I just can't put my finger on it. She has agreed we should meet this week and she sent me her number, but we haven't worked out a time yet.

I've never done one, but think lunch dates are just a bad idea. As you mentioned, no alcohol involved to help bring the guards down a bit, but it also sets a bad precedent that there is food now involved on all future meetings. If meet over lunch on a work day, also adds the stress of trying to rush conversation in that hour. Just don't see any real upside in midday first date lunches.

Looking forward to the updates. I've basically treated this whole thing as good entertainment and never taken it too seriously....as you said just treat bad meetups or trainwreck messaging as good experience and a funny story to share with the boys.
I've only had one meetup so far where there wasn't any chemistry whatsoever...she was cute still, but felt like it was more of a job interview than a date. After two drinks cut it off and never spoke again.
Just yesterday had to end it with one that I went out with twice (and secksed 3 times...you do the math). Just not a good personality match...best to not waste time.
These women on these sites siphon through so many complete losers, that if you are halfway decent looking and have constant confidence that you are a good catch and your female options are plentiful you'll be beating them off with a stick.

For me in my last long term relationship is was that she wanted to live together again (we lived together for 2+ yrs, then she moved out and we continued dating for a year after). We were a great match for each other in all other ways, but I just knew I'd eventually dislike giving up my personal space and couldn't commit to that leap right now. To her, full on commitment wasn't getting married (we're both divorced), not having kids (neither of us want any), but rather sharing a common space. I understand her point, but living with someone just isn't what I'm looking for at this time in my life. So, much like -fish- is saying, to her it was more of "wasting each other's time" since we ultimately wanted different things. Not an easy thing to end at all, and I still miss her, but at some point have to be true to yourself, cut the cord and move on.

Good rules of thumb...
- Whatever their worst picture looks like, assume that is going to be closest to reality.
- If they do not have a full body shot, assume they are heavier (if only torso shot, than arms are key in detemining thickness...if pudgy arms than all hell is most likely breaking loose down below)
- If they only have one picture, assume it's a fake profile or something is off (red flag)

I've done a second date at a ball game and it was just ok, but we got hammered afterwards and decided to have a sleepover. It's just tough to keep up a conversation for that long when all you want to do is drink beer and watch the game. Prolonged periods of silence can kill any flow you have going. But hey, if she gets drunk at the game, you can always opt to "beat the traffic" out and head home with her to "catch the end of the game" if things are going well

Last night met a 36 year old who lives near me at a local Mexican place. She was not quite what her photos represented, but not bad either.
Some minor annoyances:
1. She was the slowest eater I've ever seen. Probably because she talked and laughed at herself the whole time. Finally, after two hours I had to ask her if she was finished eating so that I could get the check..
2. She has 3 cats. Usually 1 cat is a deal breaker, but 3 cats sends up major red flags for me.
3. Her hips were a bit too wide for my taste.
I did have an okay time as she was fairly entertaining. Not sure whether I will meet her again because of the 3 cat issue.
Off night tonight, meeting a 32 year old who looks fairly hot / successful tomorrow after work.
One question for the experts:
So as I go through the online process messaging back and forth, after a bit I say something like: "blah blah blah we should meet up sometime. Are you free this week?"
Then I usually get something like this, "yadda yadda yadda sure, sounds fun here's my number."
I guess I'm required to call after that? Right? Call same day? Next day?
I prefer to meet in person before opening the phone call door, but it appears that it works differently than what I like.

I don't want to be a downer because I met my wife online (married 2 weekends ago) and I believe there are a lot of genuinely great people out there who just don't waste time dating the wrong people...but I'm guessing as you get closer to meeting she's going to tell you she's using her friend's profile who met someone amazing through that site already. The other weird thing was that the photo she sent with the 'i love dallas' comment was not an i-phone photo. It was cropped. So she had to load it on to her phone to send it. It's not like she took it last night with her phone and then sent it. Weird.
ETA: maybe I'm wrong on this. I guess there is probably an app that lets you crop photos on your phone? Still seems odd to crop it, but what do I know.

So I mentioned earlier that there is one girl on here that seems too good to be true. She is 31 and looks really hot and thin. She has plenty of photos up and I have a hard time finding a flaw. Skip past the normal questions back and forth. In her first email type message to me, she tells me somewhere in the middle that I'm amazing. And she sends me her phone number.

I don't want to be a downer because I met my wife online (married 2 weekends ago) and I believe there are a lot of genuinely great people out there who just don't waste time dating the wrong people...but I'm guessing as you get closer to meeting she's going to tell you she's using her friend's profile who met someone amazing through that site already.
