Listen to this, I actually said

this. "That's not the subject of

our evening together." Now I handed

them the pen. I held it in my hand.

I turned the contract, eight units

minutes by the kitchen clock.

All my thoughts are on them. I'm

holding the last thought that I

They, I swear to God, they both

kind of imperceptibly slumped. And

he reaches and takes the pen and

signs, he passes it to her, she

signs. It was so ####### solemn.

I just let it sit. I nod like this.

I nod again. I grasp his hands. I

shake his hands. I grasp her hands.

I nod at her like this.

"Bruce...Harriet..." I'm beaming at

them. I'm nodding like this. I

point back in the living room, back

to the sideboard.

(pause)

I didn't ####### know there was a

sideboard there!! He goes back, he

brings us a drink. Little shot

glasses. A pattern in 'em. And we

toast. In silence.

Pause.

Since I can't play live at work...I've been doing the sim thing. One interesting thing I've noticed is how crucial our middle relievers are. It really shows up when I play against the modern teams. Once you get their starters out, you get a lot of outragous scores (25-3, 24-5, etc. )When I sim with out teams, the middle relievers more often than not hold the game close allowing for rallies

I would agree. Except when I am scoring the 32.

If we beef up the players, Laudner, Deion, Garth Iorg and Jim Thorpe are staying regardless. They're the heart and soul of this team.

My team beats the #### out of the ball against most teams. Not Koya's. I assume Spock (especially in that park) will have a similar effect on me. Not liking my division. Those of us that got 2 "drafted" teams in our division should get some reward (weak "make up" team).

Is there somewhere that explains how they use the guys if you set them up as A & B? Will they only use them in certain situations or what?

Did no one answer this? It's in the WIS FAQ section.For starters, A & B means two guys share a spot in the rotation. So if you've designated five pitchers like so:1, 2, 3A, 3B, 4Your rotation will go:1, 2, 3A, 4, 1, 2, 3B, 4, 1, 2, 3A, 4, 1, 2, 3B, 4 ...For relievers, it's less clear. The sim is supposed to take into account lefty-righty matchups.

I went with5 man rotation(3R 2L)2 long(1R 1L)2 setup(2L)1 closer( R)Looking back I should have drafted another righty in the pen. I'm thinking of going to a 4 man rotation due to the way Vida Blue has performed in the live games I've played, maybe move him to mopup. Still not sure though, I might just start him in the dummy games and move him to mopup against real teams.

I am thinking of going 4-man for the same reason. I don't trust my number five a ton yet. If enough guys are going 4-man rotation, I won't feel so bad.
