lol... I still don't think it did...if it did, I am sorry about that... but... I don't think it had an affect...
Also, you need to remember that a lot of the runs that have been scored on Quantrill have been since the engine change... before the engine change, but after the player change, Quantrill was at like 2.50 ERA, barely more than he was beforehand...
Example of changes in player quality after engine change:
Clemens is winning more games and getting more Ks...
Gooden is getting ROCKED...
Glavine just isn't playing all that well...
so its not like Quantrill is the only change..

I know about baseball, I don't know a ton about middle relievers...especially not ones who play for the teams Quantrill has played for (Blue Jays, Dodgers, Yankees)... He sucked in Boston and Philly, so that doesn't really count... lol
I know about baseball history... I know how the game works... I just can't stand the Dogers/Yankees... and the Red Sox (and a few other teams) are about to get on that list, too...
stupid baseball...But I do know about baseball, just didn't realy know who Quantrill was...

I actually agree with Larry. It was an honest mistake and if he had the guy's right year in there, it'd only be the difference of a couple of games. It's not like you can pro-rate the week he's having now that Quantrill is legit and think that would be closer to what his record would be. I mean it's only a relief pitcher, and those guys are a dime a dozen in this thing and really not that important in the grand scheme of things. On a personal note, I really hope Larry wins the thing as he's clearly drafted the best team and deserves to do so. The rule was not really clear to start with and I may have made the same mistake if I were in Larry's shoes.
As far as guys getting on Larry personally for reporting stuff in the thread, I think that's unfair as well. Many people have said stuff that went over the line and I think it was decent and proper of him to report stuff that, frankly, made me uncomfortable.
Finally, I gotta say I've grown to admire Larry. He sticks to his guns in the face of adversity and really knows his baseball. (Yes, I think Tim Wakefield deserves to be on an all-time team, what can I say?) I think Larry is the FFA's version of Richie Valenz (pre-crash), a man loaded with talent and a zest for life and family.

I'm glad we had a chance to do this draft and sim together Larry, 'cuz it wouldn't have been the same for me if you were not a part of it.

It covered such topics as homosexuality, parental ejacualtion and the effects of semen on the scalp, all said a bit more blunt than that. All in all, four (4) semen jokes in one thread (until it was removed), a record that should stand the test of time. I then started thread #2 with the same title. Good times.

If you had drafted even a decent team you wouldn't be having this problem. I at least have a legitimate excuse as certain players in the sim (Feller, Fingers, Morgan and Eck) were left vulnerable to hackers and wouldn't you know, they were hacked into and some figures were changed (this has been confirmed). I didn't want to use it as an excuse, but after hearing your whining, I felt I had to say something. Unfortunately for me the numbers can't be changed once the sim is running. You won't hear me whining like Capella though, that's for sure. I know in my heart that had the hackers not gotten into the site and messed with my guys, I'd probably have won going away. I sleep well knowing that.so after getting Jackhammered by Harrier/Pickles, I go on to sweep Spartans Rule.
That one out of 18 bull#### is going to cost me. Stupid ####ing sim.
