***OFFICIAL*** FFA MLB Draft (3 Viewers)

I've done the math and we're averaging 1.72 actual picks per (normal size) page. Nice work. I'm assuming posts like this are part of the reason.

Makes the Face pick look like genius.
We have to draft 3 relievers each. Face was a great pick.
I didnt know we needed to draft any set number of relievers. what is the official ruile there?
For a guy who's such a stickler for the rules you should know this. First page of the rules thread....
Um, never know when you are fishing or not, but I am pretty flexible with rules, when reasonable - in a non money online league that is done for fun. Im not doubting the rule. I didnt know we had one is all.

Im glad I took Worrell then.
Too bad you can't play him at the reliever position.
The lack of picks was attribute to fishing, not whether or not I know the rules.Worrell is being played at Relief, believe it Mr. Gordon.
Not unless you're playing by different rules than the rest of us...

Les Lancaster? You have to be kidding me. I was just simfishing to piss you guys off. He won't really be of much use in anything but the WIS, but I don't expect anyone that I pick from this point on to be used for more than one or two innings the whole season.3rd highest: 73IP, 1.36 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 8 saves

23.10 - Orval Overall - RP

2.23 ERA (13th All-Time)

1.16 WHIP (72nd All-Time)

Averaged 18 Wins per season

Led the league once in strikeouts and twice in shutouts

123 Adjusted ERA (77th All-Time)

And that completes my pitching staff. Had about 3 or 4 others that I wanted, but I just had to have a guy name Orval on my team.

I see Funk in the house so will do a write up now, but I looked 3 timed and think this guy is still available.

Primarily my backup 1B who is also eligible at 3B, on the cusp of the HoF and many feel he should be in, an MVP, a clutch player (2 NCLS MVPs, plus two AS MVPs) and a .300 hitter in a non hitters era with great, 4 time Gold Glove D, good pop, and a formerly squeaky clean image:

Steve Garvey 1B/3B RH

Steve Garvey

Righ Handed Hitter

1969-1987

.294 Lifetime Average

1B (also eligible at 3B with just under 200 games played there)

MVP (2nd once, top 6 five times)

2 Time NLCS MVP

2 Time All Star MVP

10 Time All Star

4 Time Gold Glove

8 Times above .300

5 Times 100 RBI

2 Time Hits King

Garvey exploded as a NL star in 1974. He was elected to the All-Star team as a write-in candidate that year, and was voted MVP of the game. He followed this up by winning the NL MVP award, capping a nearly perfect season for the man whose father used to drive the Dodgers' bus at Vero Beach during spring training.

Garvey's name would not be left off the All-Star ballot again, and he was elected as a starter the next six years. In 1978 he became the first player to receive more than four million All-Star votes, and he was named MVP of the game that year as well. In ten All-Star Games he hit .393, and his slugging average of .955 is the highest of any player with more than 20 at-bats.

One of the great clutch players of his time, he retired with the NLCS career records for HR (8) and RBI (24) and was named LCS MVP in 1978 and 1984. He also hit .368 in the 1981 divisional series.

The winner of four Gold Gloves, Garvey retired with a .996 fielding average. In 1977 he hit a Los Angeles Dodgers-record 33 HR, the only time in a seven-year period when he failed to better .300 and 200 hits. He led the NL in hits twice and games played six times.

The Funkmeister bailed, he better be gettin some. No other acceptable excuse for leaving while he was on the clock. :gang1:
Relax...I'm here. I don't need this guy but he's been out there too long. Gil Hodges - 1B
That is what I thought about Garvey, although I could use a backup corner infielder. I very much want to use Lofton as a Pinch Runner when possible, and he and Kiki as pinch runners when I go with a power lineup. To do that, needed a little more field flexibility.

Since the back up catchers are flying off the board I figured I should grab one here. I'd really like a lefty to platoon with Buck but the lefty backstops I've looked at are either suspect at the plate or in the field. So I went with a righty and. . .

With Pick #13 in round 23 the Curse Reversing Idiots select. . .

23.13 Lance Parrish - C

8 Time All Star

3 Time Gold Glove Winner

.991 career fielding % at Catcher

#84 career HR's(324)

1700+ Career Hits

1000+ Career RBI's

Solid Backup

I already had Bottomley but what the heck. I have the option of swinging Killebrew into the OF, Foxx to 3B and using either Bottomley or Hodges so there's a chance they'll be useful yet.

Two Girls myself, think we'll have one more go at it for a boy. Someones gotta use the mini basketball hoop and those Hockey sticks collecting dust in the playroom.

if you do that (the hunting dog) Ill have to pitch in to buy a collar or something. He is my "sponsored player" on baseball reference ;- )I accidentally got 15 extra bucks so I have to choose another player.

She's tired of being sick so this is it. Worse this time around almost six years after the first so boy or girl we're done.
