***OFFICIAL*** FFA MLB Draft (1 Viewer)

currently looking for people to play live with my new, high-powered team
I should be around tonight. I won't even bring in Keefe unless we go extra innings. He has 10th - 20th inning duty.

That was a dangerous game to sit in the stands and watch. LB should have helmet night for the safety of his fans.

And the Big Unit kicks my ###, Cappy wins 4-2. Link to boxscore

Score might have been different if I had Babe Ruth in the #3 hole instead of Luis Gonzalez. :hot: It was encouraging, though, to see Gaylord Perry whiff 13 batters and go the distance. Not a bad game against a good lineup, but my offense suxor without Ruth. GET ME MY PLAYERS BACK, DAMMIT!!!!!

Ran this matchup a few more times. Scores (my team first):8-1, 5-4, 3-6, 5-3, 8-2, 12-3

People were asking before:Boxscore Key+ defense turns hit into an out. ++ defense holds batter to lesser hit. - defense turns out into a hit.

And the mighty Irish Cowboys fall to Bellucci's Bombers at Busch Stadium, 6-1! Link to Boxscore

Started LHP Sam McDowell this time around agaist RHP Pete Alexander. McDowell goes the distance, strinking out 8, walking 6 (he is a tad wild), and allowing 1 earned. Alexander goes 7 innings allowing 5 earned and striking out 2 and walking 4. His relief was Ed Reulbach, going 1 inning, allowing 1 earned and sriking out 2 and walking none.

Al Simmons and Wade Boggs both had 3 hits, Gary Carter hit a 2 run bomb for his only hit of the game. Oh, and for those who say the Bombers can't run.....

Bottom 8: Bellucci's Bombers

Al Simmons hits a triple. [3] Albert Belle hits a line drive to 2B which is misplayed by Eddie Delker. Official scorer: E-4. [1] Pitching change: Pete Alexander is replaced by Ed Reulbach. Gary Carter hits into a fielders choice. [1] Pee Wee Reese hits a flyball triple down the RF line. [3] Sam McDowell strikes out. Eddie Collins strikes out.

Bellucci's Bombers vs Koya's BK Bums in a 3-game series

Scores:

2-3 , 6-3, 8-7

First and foremost, allow me to announce that Charley "Old Hoss" Radbourn has earned himself mop-up reliever status. The dude *bleep*ing sucks. If I could cut him and get Bob Veale back, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but that would be against Cappy's rules, so I'll live with my stupid pick.

All 3 games, I started "Old Piece of Crap" Radbourn against Lefty Gomez. Because the 3rd game seemed to have the most excitement, I'll evaluate that one.

For Koya, Gomez went 7 IP with 7 hits, 7 ER, 4 BB's, 7 K's, and 5 ER. In relief, Todd Worrell went 0 IP with 1 hit, 2 Runs allowed (1 being unearned), 0 BB, 0 Ks. Steve Bedrosian went 1 IP with 2 hits, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K. Worrell got the Loss.

For the Bombers, Charley Radbourn went 6 and 1/3 IP, allowing 12 hits ( ), 6 ER, 2 BB, 3 K's. In relief, Jesse Orosco went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 0 strikeouts. John Wetteland went 1 IP, allowing 2 hits, 1 ER, 0 BB's, and 0 K's. Orosco got the Win, Wetteland got the Save.

Subbing for Babe Ruth, Luis Gonzalez went 2-5 with 3 RBI (player of the game), which is encouraging because up to this point, I was strongly considering benching him for Bill Lange.

Koya's team had a crapload of hits, but left a total of 9 runners left on base.

Oh, also of note, if you notice how my team produced in the timeline on the left of the screen, you'll take note that my team produces doubles and triples like absolute clockwork. I have a team of very smart baserunners, I'm proud to say.

Ahhh, now I see. First, thanks for the props (How am I the supposed #1?).Second, Im getting my ### kicked and Im not even making the moves. Somethings um... fishy here. :nerd:

Ok, let's try this again, in a 3-game series.harrier's Irish Cowboys vs lastresort's Bellucci's Bombers (Pete Alexander vs Jack Morris)

Scores: 9-8, 5-9, 3-1

We're pretty close, IMO. Let's look at the 3rd game.

For the Cowboys, Pete Alexander goes 7 IP, allowing 3 runs (2 earned), 1 BB, 4 K's on 5 hits. His relief, Ed Ruelbach, goes 1 IP, allowing 0 Runs, 1 BB, 0 K's on 0 hits. Alexander gets the loss.

For the Bombers, Jack Morris goes 8 IP, allowing 1 run, 1 BB, 0 K's on 3 hits. His relief, John Wetteland, allows 0 runs, 1 BB, 0 k's on 1 hit. Morris gets the win, Wetteland gets the save.

Pretty blah game. Morris doesn't strike anyone out, only allows one walk and 3 hits. Blah. The only person on either team to get more than 1 hit was Cupid Childs with 2. Blah. About the only thing exciting was Bill Joyce and Eddie Collins getting 1 stolen base each.

Next team I face will see Bill Lange in LF instead of Gonzo. I might even start Vizquel. And I definitely will be starting Red Ruffing, who will be making his debut in place of "Old Piece of Crap" Radbourn.

Larry decided to kick me in the balls and bring Clemens in from the bullpen. What happens when you kick people in the balls, Larry?Bonds and Bags hit back-to-back HRs. That's what happens when you kick people in the balls.
:rotflmao: I'm giving serious consideration to using Unit as my closer..need him more than once every 5 games.

Do we pay for the dummy teams? I'd pay for one if that's what we need.
well, somebody has to pay for them. I was planning on it, just because I'd rather see them really suck and not affect the standings at all. :moneybag:
