That is a start at least. Hopefully in the future, you can understand that when we all join a league, then above board rules or anything else, we are in that league together. League business should be handled in house. When reporting to others occurs without first talking with other league members, bad things happen. The result is everyone loses... threads get deleted and people get banned from future participation. In the future, (IF there are people willing to give you a second chance) you will first have to be clear with your league members what you expect from a league thread. If innappropriate material will offend you to the point you must do your board citizen duty of reporting those links, than you probably need to find a group of people that agree with you. Why would you join a league if you know that ALL the other members are ok with some things and ONLY you have an issue with it... to the point of deleting the league thread. If you are the one cog that disrupts everyone else fun, it doesnt help anyone.
Larry, good luck. I am not sure many here will be willing to forgive, especially since some may worry about threads being locked and perhaps having time outs or bannings given to them. It is not good to have to worry about what you say in a league thread that is supposed to be fun.
For me, the most important apology would be the one where you recognize that going straight to the mods to report something in a league thread runs counter to everything that league should be about. If you do not realize the harm caused by this reporting, and apologize for that, than personally I can not forgive your actions.
If you sincerely apologize and understand where we are coming from, I would be willing to forgive - this one time at least.

and UCONN, if you really feel that you don't need to follow the rules of this board simply because you are posting in a thread with a bunch of posts in it, you reallly need to find a place that lets you post whatever you want on it and post there...and I'm pretty sure you'll be told that by the mods here soon, too...
grow up... you can't just break the rules 'cuz you feel like it... they are there for a reason and need to be followed and there is no reason to ever break them... quit acting like your 14...

I think when you decide to group up with 15-20 other guys, and they ALL see things one way, then you have to ask yourself this:Can you live by the rules and conditions of the league first?
Will you remain loyal to the league and not act in a way to hurt the league?
If either of those answers is No, then clearly you should not join these leagues in the future. That way, you wont be offended, and you will not ruin everyone elses fun.
I never said it was not "within your right" to tell Joe. I can say this - to put your personally offense above the place of almost TWENTY other people is selfish. It is within your right to report, and it is then within the right of everyone else to never want you included in anything on this board ever, ever, ever again.
If you want to take the ball home so no one else can play, that is fine. Don't expect to ever be invited out again.
Likewise, if I were to join a league with all sincere hard core Christians, I would not be spouting my issues with religion in that forum. Why? because the league would be for fun, and I would be the only one seeing things differently, and I would not want to cause friction or ruin the league because of my personal issues.
I would suggest you look long and hard at who is involved in an FBG league in the future and ask yourself... can you live with the type of people they are, and with the behaviors you expect to see in the thread? If not, why would you want to join something, only to ruin it for everyone?

it doesn't bother me. I was in situations well before the age of 14 larry couldn't even imagine. he makes me sad more than anything. As I said, he's fortunate to be in a sheltered situation. If not he'd have been ripped apart long ago. It really does amaze me their are places you can get away w/ his approach and that is putting it kindly.

and to put your personal views above the rules of hte message board that you are posting in shows the mods of hte board that you have no respect for them and that you really don't belong here...I don't care about 99% of the stuff in this post, but to say that it is wrong to report porn in the thread and a few other things I did report, and not get on the countless other people (Joe said it was at least 25 people) who also reported this thread for things that were probably lesser than what I reported it for is hypocritical and not fair or smart at all....
I never took my ball home, I never expected them to delete the thread, I don't want them to... I figured they'd delete the posts because the thread was so large...
If I had thought that the thread would be deleted I porbably only would have reported the porn, and that is it... because that 100% has no place here in the open like that...
but, really, waht do you think the mods will say when they read your posts over the last page basically saying "I don't have to follow the rules"??? Do you realyl think they'll like them?

People have shown their true colors. We know who can be trusted here, and who is someone that would be there for a league they joined vs. those who by their nature will be a threat to that leagues cohesion and existence.
Back to baseball... Harrier, we have a two game battle. Time for me to meet Mr. SimFisher.

Larry, after this I will answer you in PM. I believe there are important points that you are not understanding, but do not want to risk losing this thread.It should be noted, I never suggested anyone do anything against board rules. What I suggested is that IF a fellow league member did act against rules and someone else has an issue with it, the offended party should act like an adult and bring up that issue with the individual first, and then with the league - NOT go straight to "management" which threatens everyone in the league, including the many that have done no wrong whatsoever.Again, I dont understand why someone would join a league where EVERYone else is ok with whatever is posted, but that ONE individual has such an issue with it, that they risk screwing up the whole exercise for everyone involved.

I'd take my name off the petition if I thought he had some ounce of respect for other members. Sometimes harmony requires giving up your right to be right. At this point I don't think he would ever do that. Being right is very important to Larry.
