*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (9 Viewers)

Good luck, Swirve. It's been exactly an entire year since I hurt mine and still do the yoga cobra pose for 15 minutes every morning to compress my vertebrae so it doesn't come back. I never thought it'd get better. Thought I was injured for life. But it finally got better. I still watch TV in that cobra pose as often as I can. I truly believe that's what made me get better, that cobra pose.
Sweep the leg!!

Good Luck Swirve !! I have had a bad back on and off myself. Luckily through exercises, stretching and babying it, I have gotten by thus far.  I can't  imagine how much pain and how uncomfortable it has to be if surgery sounds better than the current state. Best of Luck!!

I'm able to manage too, pain isnt that bad really its just ive been managing for 3 years and it isnt going to get better.  Even when it did get better last year it was destroyed by going to disney.  I mean thats not me doing anything but walking around and going on rides.

When they ask me tomorrow how much pain im in I would probably say a 1.

Ive been through re-hab 4 times, stretch daily, workout, strengthen all the stuff I should.   I just cant do all the stuff I want to.  If I throw to hard, wrestle too much with the kids kick a ball too hard, sit too long, walk to far, it hurts and get numbness in the leg.  I  havent played basketball in 3 years have golfed 3 times in the past 3 years kind of thing.   Im on no pain meds though some days better than others where I think wtf would I get surgery, others days are like man I need surgery now.  Was a tough choice but found what I have heard is pretty much the best guy in metro detroit who has operated on detroit athletes, and if you mention back surgery to any random person his name always comes up as the best.  So i could continue to plod along and keep going but I'm hoping this puts me back to guy who isnt always worried about his back and living a normal life.

Hopefully I am pissed at myself for not getting it done 2.5 years ago

fruitless revenge

Chiefs already beat the Chargers in W3. Since 2004 Andy Reid 19-3 SU when he beat you the first time (8-0 SU w/ Chiefs). sdql

Gore just had 37 touches 4 days ago, in the snow, and he's 34 years old....... you really think he can average over 4 yards a pop on 12 carries tonight?

He is averaging 3.6 on the season and Denver actually played the run well last week...........   Gore under 48.5

the hardest part about giving gifts is waiting to give them. bought my girl a pair of embroidered jeans and velvet crop at hollister today. she has no idea. had to fight off some chick who was nosing in on my browsing trying to hone in on my purchase. also bought my girl some 24 karat gold blunt wraps that my waxing professional recommended. that's going to be a good stocking stuffer if you need luxurious stocking stuffer ideas for chicks who smoke. smoking chicks amirite I don't even smoke but bought some cbd gummi bears to try probably on sunday

Don't tail, I suck:

Playing longest TD over 37.5.  Feel like between Thomas, Sanders, Hilton, Mack, Rogers there is decent potential for a long one.  Besides decent pick 6 potential with Simien on one side and Bronco's d on the other.

Troy gives up 17.5 points per game (11th NCAA). The total in the New Orleans Bowl is 62.

North Texas suffered a significant loss in the weeks leading up to the New Orleans Bowl when running back Jeffery Wilson went down for the year with a foot injury. Troy might be in even worse shape heading into the teams' game at noon Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Troy coach Neal Brown ran through a laundry list of players who are either out or questionable on Thursday at the teams' pregame press conference. That list includes a pair of starting defensive backs. Cornerback Blace Brown, safety Kris Weatherspoon and wide receiver Emanuel Thompson all are out. Wide receiver Tray Eafford will be a game-time decision. All four were injured in Troy's win against Arkansas State on Dec. 2 that gave the Trojans the Sun Belt Conference title.

"We are not going to be as healthy as we want to be," Neal Brown said. "We dodged injuries through 11 games. The Arkansas State game was as freak of an injury game that I have ever been a part of. We lost six guys in that game." The question now is how big of an impact that will have on Troy. The Trojans have won six straight heading into Saturday's game against UNT and feature a standout defense that is allowing 17.5 points per game.

Oh damn. Georgia State was the team that lost to Idaho in that last game of the season.

GAST wrapped up their bowl bid back in week eleven
They kind of "backed into" this game, losing their L2 regular season games after securing the bowl bid in W11. They had won six of seven before that. I was looking to fade them after seeing the Idaho game, but am getting some good SU and ATS results on dogs who backed into bowl games like that.

Just like I said....potential for long td with slow white 3rd string TE for one of these teams.

Colorado State head coach Mike Bobo is 0-2 SU in bowl games against lines of -4½ and -15. He doesn't even win, much less cover.

Bobo does like the quick turnaround, though he admitted it comes with some hurdles to clear. It is the same week as finals for the school, and they won't begin practice until Wednesday with coaches out recruiting. He will also be in Albuquerque that day for a game press conference, and it also marks the day receiver Michael Gallup is in Atlanta for the Biletnikoff Award presentation. "We're going to finish strong academically and finish this season strong on the football side, then we want to finish strong on the recruiting side for the first signing period," he said. "It's going to be a hectic two weeks."
Meanwhile, Marshall head coach Doc Holliday is 4-0 SU and ATS in bowl games, and during the L20 years Marshall has gone 10-1 SU and ATS in bowls.

Marshall +5½ -105

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is 10-3 both straight-up and ATS in bowls.

Alabama is 4-12 ATS following a straight-up loss under coach Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide lost their regular-season finale to Auburn.

Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez is 3-7 ATS in bowls. All but one of Rodriguez's 10 bowls have gone over the total.

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham is 10-1 straight-up and 8-3 ATS in bowls.

All four of Boston College coach Steve Addazio's bowls have gone over the total.

How does this jive with the FH/2H under plays going like 37-3 last year? Just wondering since I'm all about the system plays that don't work right now.

Seems funky huh?  I heard our favorite corpulent awkward tout Ralph Michaels on a podcast say he generally leans dog and over on pre-Christmas bowls and betting those blindly is over 50% historically. Who tf knows?  I'm just gonna fade Joe the pub for the first day and see how it goes.

SJ Sharks ML -140

Heading into a home game against the San Jose Sharks on Friday, the Canucks have lost four straight and have been outscored 20-5. Things won't look any brighter tonight without their top center Bo Horvat who's out 4-6 weeks. They will also be without top defenseman Chris Tanev. The Sharks are starting to get into mid-season form as they have compiled wins in 3 of their last 4, and 6 of their last 9. Tonight they will have their #1 goalie Martin Jones between the pipes, and they are playing with a lot of confidence. 4-1 San Jose skating away!!!
