Preternaturally skilled dude who is also a knucklehead, and is getting a soft-landing from his company because he is still a draw, despite his best win being...*squints at screen*...a split decision over Paulie Malinaggi. 

Vargas is good. He's defensively good, he's a good boxer, he's got ok/good power. He doesn't have enough to challenge the best at welterweight (Spence, Crawford, Thurman), but he's more than good enough to out-point a low-output Adrien Broner at a catchweight of 144.

Altuve (2) and Jeter are the only two players to have gone over this decade.  It took Altuve 159 and 161 games to do it and Jeter 159.

i think anyone who can have over 210 hits in the league right now is 27 or older and altuve who is obviously the best candidate to go over will play on a team that will have the west wrapped up by 9/1.

im not calling lock on this but there are only so many players that can do this and they all have to stay healthy and play 158 and even if  few do there is still a shot they won't get hit 214.

at close to even money I think you hold your  nose and take a shot.
