Games of chance are way lame. You can play 1,000 hands and never get the big winner.

I ain't out bluffing nobody and memorizing percentages on winning hands sounds like a bad time.
It's skill in the long-run, but like I mentioned yesterday, it's so ####### advanced now that you need to be hyper-smart and studious about the game to get out of the shallow end.

Yeah, I've heard you literally fold like 75% of your hands. So you sit around folding hands and then eventually get smoked on a bad beat. Sounds awful.

I've gotta be the worst candidate for a gig like that, lol. No control over the outcome and no patience. Plus, at some point you know I'm getting into a verbal altercation with someone much bigger and stronger than me.  :lmao:

The online companies have figured out how to more effectively deliver those seratonin hits. At the very highest levels online poker is played heads-up, and if you fold maybe 20%+ of the time preflop you're going to get killed. It's that aggressive. The old douchebags that were around before poker got hot have mostly been run out of the game by aggressive, younger players who just ran them over. And then another group came in behind those guys and started running them over.

Also playing cash games online is almost no longer done with 9/10 people, it's all 6-max. And pokerstars, bovada, etc. have games where you're in a giant pool of people at given stakes, and as soon as you fold out of your hand, you're immediately put into another hand with other people who just folded out. So the action is pretty constant.

Ah, online poker. My buddy tells me that you're really playing with "bots". That stuff is fun to pass the time, Bovada let you play as low as $0.50 a hand. Which makes great fodder while watching games.

I don't think any of my current outs offer Texas Hold Em like that. It was a lot of fun at low risk levels.

I don't know where you get your information regarding the old guys getting pushed out by the young guys and the young guys getting pushed out by the millennials. But it's entertaining and good content.

"Poker as told by GPJ."

I heard the gameplan this week is to win by a minimum of a five touchdown margin. Five tee dee's that's thirty five points game plan reception sack total. I'm not one to know anything about sports, but just this once I will let you give me eleven dollars to win ten. I'm rooting for you. I think it will happen, logically. Every team wakes up in the morning and sees the -28 and says, hand me my coffee. What's another seven give or take. Our gameplan is to act professionally, manage the first half, win the turnover battle, and win by a minimum of 35 points that's five touchdowns and five extra points on top of what our defense allows. Ready break.

yo that MNF was professional, so to speak. even the referees. drives managed with efficiency and precision. not running the numbers but think Denver just needed a turnover. so clean and brilliant it was a nice clean game

Severino threw 6 innings of 5 hit, 1 run ball against the Athletics on May 13th at home. Granted that was about 5 months ago now.

But you ought to arm yourself with the facts.

He is risen indeed.

Not sure what you're talking about.
I was trying to tell Chainsaw good morning!

Found it funny that he woke up at 6AM and one of the first things on his agenda was to hammer away some quality schtick on the Alabama spread.

NHL

TOR - 1.5 +125
SJ -1.5 +180
Like the Sharks play, went to lock in Sharks to win Cup at +1100 and it got pulled :wall:

Debating on this Bruins game, kind of like Boston at even $, but Caps home ice success against Bruins has me debating.
Sure feels like a Cup hangover game.

Yankees for me. But too chalky, will attempt to jump in live but I think they're going to pour it on.

I have a confession to make. I've continued to bet on NBA preseason and I've been absolutely slinging it.

Doubling up, crushing unders, watching team chemistry, evaluating rookies. Getting that ripper arm warmed up, gentlemen.

We were all curious.................

Waiting for confirmation of final lineups on Timberwolves / Clippers but you've got to love Karl Anthony-Towns matched up against Marcin Gortat at C.

22 year old athletic freak versus a 34 year old journeyman. It all starts on the glass. Second chance points, easy buckets, etc.

Never heard of em

1H - Timberwolves ML, -120

Was going to wait but the line is starting to to move in the Twolves direction. No Lou Williams for the Clippers (or else we'd take the over).

The Twolves are essentially starting their starting lineup with Jimmy Butler out (Teague, Rose, Towns, Wiggins, Gibson).

Twolves have a significant advantage on the glass. The only prayer the Clippers have is if Harris and Gallinari drain an excessive amount of 3-pointers. Which does happen and we'll have to live with if it does!

This one's for @Frostillicus!
