*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (12 Viewers)

Yeah I can not agree with the logic either. I tried to tee it up for him with the key number concept, and RLM concept. But it turns out that he doesn't even know that money moves lines. Damn it's been over a year and this is what we're still stuck with.

If money moved lines, couldn't all the bigshots pile on the Eagles so they could beat the #### out of the Giants line at the last minute?

Like a crazy pump-and-dump scheme?

Yeah.  That does happen sometimes.
That's super dirty. I put $50,000 on the Giants at -2.5 and get 100 of my rich buddies to bet $10,000 on the Eagles to give the perception that money is pouring on the Eagles.

Then, I pour more money on the Giants at +2. Maybe buy a point or two

You don't hear about it often.  But the big moves might lay $50k on Philly at +3, $50k at +2, $100k at +1, and then come back with $500k on Giants +1.  But obviously you have to have deep pockets and have the resources to lay down all the bets at different places to make the line move.  My double digit figure bets aren't doing it.

more likely, especially in a smaller market like CBB where it takes less to move the lines, would be someone doing that 'on screen' (at pinnacle or CRIS) and then going and betting way more at all of their credit books after they copy the line move.

Kind of like these long shot bets:

Eli Manning 3 TDs thrown +200

Eli Manning 4 TDs thrown +600

This is the time of year Eli Manning becomes a machine.

ETA:

Played Giants ML, -110 and Eli Manning 3/4 TD (+200 and +600).

The Eagles Rights Tackle Lane Johnson, who is credited with much of the success Wentz had to start the season, is back in the lineup tonight for the first time since 10/8. If he's fully healthy, expect better output from Wentz. Heard this on NFL radio last night. They made additional comments that the offensive line was in disarray after he went down and Wentz wasn't getting enough protection.

Man there is some super crazy dood sitting behind us.  sunglasses, headphones, he pretends like he is spilling his beer to only catch it.

Well I stole a chair ftom his table.   I'm scared he is going to kill me now

Big dudes also move lines based on reputation. That dude who bet for Billy in that book, The Smart Money, Konik - Billy or whatever the chain of command was would send him somewhere to bet a line, get it to move, and then bet 10-100x more on the new line that he liked (needed). Michael Konik the Smart Money. It's where you get jokes about dudes like Jimmy the Pencil and sheeit. It grabs you, gets boring about halfway through, and then you finish the book. But you should read it if you like doing this.

BYU wins by 1-6 was +335 last night. I keep thinking about it. Can't stop thinking about it. There were nine different 'bracketed' bets (what yall call them) like that and that one was the one that paid the least. Should have seen it coming. Wanted it bad when I couldn't find the +3.5.

Oh sure, blame the Right Tackle.

#### i think i forgot to post in here, but i played Eagles over 19.5 for quite a bit. With Lane Johnson back it just felt right

Have the Birds ML too and started Mathews in my FF championship. This is a patented Birds steamroll when it doesn't matter spot, some key injuries on the NYG D and like you said Lane back for the run game. NFL.com had Sproles inactive, kind of peeved for FF but happy for that sweet TD.

No big conference team should be a greater than 20 point underdog at home I said.  It's Kansas's first road game of the year I said.
