*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (5 Viewers)

The general rule of thumb is that the most amount of points you can expect in 4:00 minutes is 20 combined or 10 per team give or take a bucket.

Given that ratio we are on the losing side of that metric.

I'm on Louisville ML tomorrow.  LSU is good but no Fournette and if they get down 10, they are in trouble.  Multiply that exponentially because they are playing against one of the best players in the country who is instant offense guy.  Even if I liked LSU I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger.

Doing some digging on UK/GT, that seems like an odd matchup.  Thinking Ga Tech but they are terrible in bowls.
Not agreeing or disagreeing with the play (I have Lousville +3.5 in various pools)....but just based on what you wrote....Guice > Fournette FWIW....and LSU will be the best defense Jackson has seen all year.
damn, considering NFL scouts are saying Fournette is the best RB to come out since Adrian Peterson, this Guice guy must have some matrix moves.  Will have to watch tomorrow.

it sucks all of you ####ers r in bed drunk now, you are missing some epic schtick. Keep talking...................I'm listeing..............

I'm out drinking after another successful day of handicapping. I've got a BC withdraw from intertops and a package coming from Kurt.

:hophead:

I couldn't imagine having $40,000 to sit on to pay all my expenses and gamble with.

If I wasn't making money, I bet year after year I could at least maintain that $40,000 bank.

I think I may lay off tailing for a smidge here. Just have a stinking suspicion that the payback is about to start in a big way. Good luck Em.

When that ####### horse did that to the ####### dude I thought we were done for.   I don't know if any of you dudes saw it but that ####### horse threw that ####### college student.  ####.

Chili update: Almost lost a finger cutting the onions, but it wasn't one of the important fingers anyway.

I forgot to chop the celery so I just did that and added it in along with some hocus pocus pepper seasoning that the Dominican store sells.  The Chorizo, peppers, celery, beans and base have been slow cooking for three hours now.  This place smells like heaven.

Will wake up at 9 and cook the ground sirloin, onions and peppers and add it later.  Should be done just in time for the UW/Bama game.  :hifive:

You experienced this ripper. You experienced the past ripper. In between rippers I'm going to hit about 50%.

Do your thing homeboy. But remember where your bread is buttered. I appreciate you showing the faith you have in me.

I will never let you down... believe me.

I told my buddy it would have been awesome if the Indian dude stood up and took the spear and ran it through the horse. That would teach him. #besthalftimeshowever

I know UFC is painted as the antithesis of all the crummy parts of boxing, but coddling a shot fighter and then cashing him/her out for a big payday before the public gets wise is Don King 101.

Nice work by the Brazilian. She just got off first consistently.

I thought you said you were up $5,000 the other day? You had a nice couple of runs, but believe me, my "bread isn't buttered" here, lol. Pride is before a fall brother. You are getting awful confident. I've seen that song and dance before. #karmaisa#####

Those plays end about halfway through November...

Irregardless I plan to keep killing books and acquire Bovada accounts so I can slay pitcher props once NBA ends.

NBA, baseball, football. It's a gamblers life. With every year you will get better.

But never, and I mean NEVER bet on hockey.
Hockey can be very profitable but there are lots of runs, you have to know when to lay off for a few days.  You also can't half-### it, you have to actually watch games and stay on top of the news.  But a couple years ago Pittsburgh went on a streak where you just bet the over every game, and a lot of us here cleaned up while Vegas lagged.  NFL and NBA is tough to beat Vegas, hockey is much easier if you are on top of #### but it's more of a commitment.

I barely understand what icing is. I'm probably 3 years away from being a solid NHL handicapper.

You know how much that would take away from sports I actually care about though?

Hockey is a grind and it's a sport I love. I think hockey is the most profitable when it comes to sides and totals for me, and baseball is probably right there as well, but of course both are a real grind and I have a job and family and life and have a hard time staying engaged. Two years ago I did really well on hockey, last year not so much. This year I didn't really start capping games until about 3-4 weeks ago and I've done OK, probably up aorund 6 or 7 units, but to be really good I think you have to be engaged every day, not distracted by ####ty bowl games.

I'm watching the Godfather trilogy in chronological scene order.  I watch the Italian speaking parts over and over again, trying to pick up some more Sicilian.  My Napolitano is pretty good, my Pugliese better, and my Italian is fine.  Sicilian is a different beast though.

Keep us posted.

holy #### did i make a lot of money on that game!!!

also was a great game.  Awful thorw by Speight in that last possesion
Me too!! If michigan had won by 7, the game had gone under and butt hadn't been hurt when he still needed 1 more reception would have been a huge game

They're different types of backs....but there is zero drop off from Fournette to Guice with the LSU offense.  Re NFL.....here's one scout's view:

http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/run-angry/

Fournette has announced he will skip the team's Citrus Bowl appearance this week and then forego his final season of eligibility to enter the NFL draft, leaving the job to Guice. If the next year goes as expected, Guice will eventually be in the same position Fournette is in. He says he also plans to skip his senior season in favor of the draft.

NFL teams will be waiting.

At least, that's the way it looks from the outside.

"The way [Guice] runs, my guess is half or more [teams] would take him over Fournette right now," one AFC scout says. "You have to understand, it's not just highlight plays in this league. It's the ability to grind over four quarters, and yeah, it's absolutely the want and desire to run the ball."

Asked if Fournette has that want and desire, the scout says, "That will be the No. 1 question from every team that interviews him."

Asked if Guice has it, the scout simply says, "The tape is your resume."

Fournette has seen it up close. The want and desire. The running angry.

"Derrius runs like he might never run again," he says.

Doc fades and playing ville and osu

will wait to see if wash falls below our 33% I dont think it will

Taking the over in GT/KY 63  and in Clemson/OSU 58.5

Any thoughts on Guice O132.5? Lot of yards but kind of have a feeling he goes off today.
I bet it at 129.5.  He's gone over that # in every game where Fournette hasn't played (and some games where Fournette did play).  Louisville does have a pretty stout rush defense though, only allowing 2.99/carry.  Still think Guice will get his though.

No idea how I won almost all the unders on the Mich/FSU game. I quit watching when it was 17-3 (92 yard bomb), and saw a 33-32 final and I thought for sure it was the reverse sweep.
