This reminds me of that scene in No Country where Chigurh goes into the gas station and flips the coin for the attendants life. Then tells him not to put the coin in his pocket because then it'd just be a coin, which it is.

My first complete set was 1988 Topps MLB. It stunk. I think my neighbors bought it at Toys R Us. Eventually focused on collecting Emmitt and Troy. The one card that sticks out is Junior's rookie card - the 1989 Upper Deck #1. I never had that card.
The best deal I ever made was buying the 1989 Hoops full set w David Robinson's rookie card in there. It wasn't a factory set either it was a set some dude made from waxpacks. Yo - digging through my old cards just now I also found a copy of a 2002 Playboy. I totally forgot about it. October 2002 Girls of the Big 12 autographed by Mary Beth Decker from A&M. "She is famous for Playboy Cyber Girl turned Road Rules cast member. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn."

Great call - two of my favorite cards I had/have. My first and only set I compiled from packs like that was the 87 Topps baseball set with the wood grain border. It's worth more for the memory of my dad & I working on that together than it was ever worth in $ which wasn't much. My dad got into collecting unopened packs, and I'm sure he still has some going back to the early 80's before the overproduction boom.

Dad and I got really into baseball cards when I was a kid, we had a full set from every manufacturer from 76-around 90 I think. He just recently sold everything but the 76 and 77 sets(years my brother and I were born)
Still have 4 of those ripken #### face cards, i remember buying cases of packs and just ripping thru them trying to find those cards.

I had a ton of cards.. mostly Topps from the late 70s and early 80s... i say had as my mom cleaned out my old room one day and tossed them all.

That 87 topps is my 1st love.
So many stars and rookies.
I'm gonna keep collecting the old school cards and place them in my garage or some crap.
It's so cool buying a strawberry 84 donruss or 84 fleer update gooden. I never saw them in person only heard about it and the Mattingly donruss? I had a friend who claimed he knew someone who had it.

I have sold some cards on Ebay in the past and got some good money for some of them.
$550 for a Jeter rookie
$110 for a Sosa rookie
$95 for a Manny Ramirez rookie
Sold multiple Mariana Rivera cards for $20 and up

Back in 03/04 I went through a football card phase and ended up buying some Upper Deck SP. this set had rookies limited to 1250. I had all the major rookies but really loaded up on the best QB in the class and got a bunch of Chad Penningtons. Had 8-9 of them at ~$75 each.
I did manage to get 3 of Bledsoes backup for about $100 all in. Sold one during the undefeated run for $1800. Cried when it went down to $500 and I didn't sell the other two. Right before deflategate I sold them for $2200 each.
I'm scared to look what they are going for now.

The only rookie card I have that I can remember of anyone that's any good is Ken Griffey Jr. I have no idea what brand it is. I may have to see if I can find it

in the 5 Dimes Futures/Politics, I've been hammering the
Donald Trump not President on 1/1/18
I got my first bet in Sunday for +430. I tried to bet a rack, but it said I was limited to 100 for that proposition Son Monday morning its +380 and have steadily gone down since, setting at around +200 tonight.
I've been buying the max (100) at every stop up and down, about 9-10 bets between +200 and +430.
My assumption is that I am allowed to wager the max for each proposition wagered, i.e., +200, +220. +225 etc. Do you think I am correct in my assumption and have 8-10 live bets, because even though they are all, "Donald Trump not President on 1/1/18," but all at different odds.
If they are going to end up dq'ing all but one, I'd just as soon not tie up my cash until 1/1/18
