*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (14 Viewers)

I think TF is asking if you can hit the same prop with a max bet on both sportsbetting and then go over and do it on betonline.  I'm pretty sure you can do that, whether its frowned upon I don't know. I've done it a few times, but try not to.

I think you misunderstood the question or are you saying they now correlate your accts from SB and BOL together and the software prevents you? That would be interesting.
Yes....I've set up the same bet at both sites and tried to simultaneously wager and the software no longer allows me too.  They have linked my accts because my prop limits got cut at both sites at the same time even though I wasn't betting at sportsbetting at the time.

Sounds like Price is going to get scratched (or pitch with a junk elbow).  KC +190 at any late moving books.
And play as "listed pitcher" in hopes that he throws? Or as "action goes" and roll with whatever line move happens?

Seems like it's off the board now.  Brian Johnson getting the start.

Personally i went Vargas/Action figuring Price pitches with a bad elbow or it would reopen at a much better number and you would "have value".

but doesn't an Action bet mean that your odds are subject to change after you bet in case of a pitching change?  I really don't know as I always bet listed.

In this instance you can bet...

Vargas/Price (this is "listed".  Either one gets scratched its no bet)

Vargas/Action (so long as Vargas starts it's a bet)

Action/Price (so long as price starts it's a bet)

Action/action (you got a bet no matter what)

i bet Vargas/Action.

Right, but won't your +190 odds that you bet be adjusted to whatever the new odds are once posted with the new pitcher?
Yes, if you played it as action, you're stuck with whatever line it goes back on the board as, essentially losing all "value" that you thought you'd have if Price went out there with a bum wing.  As ref said, some books let you mix and match action with listed on each pitching side.  I just wanted to point it out because in my younger years I recall getting pumped up in a similar situation only to learn what "action goes" really means.

Jones/Cormier u4.5 rounds +147

Jones by Submission +475

Jones is real salty about the steroid accusations, he's going to make Daniel say uncle.  Daniel is older and has a lifetime of weight cuts, ruining his kidneys 15 years ago, also AKA has been an absolute mess.  I trust Jon is getting better training in with Sherman than Daniel is with Cain.

Also, I had a premonition...Maia by KO/TKO  +1675.
You seem unusually confident. Bump for later.

Sportsbetting is so lame.

Lol.... of course I didn't change the KC bet on one site to Vargas/action.  Now I'm holding a +140 ticket.
I don't think there's a way to make money on pitching changes in baseball, Action means the line changes and you get the new line.  If you have a book that holds the line AFTER pitching changes you need to exploit it until they boot you.  Although if they're doing that they're using horrific software that probably has significantly more loopholes that you can slowly bleed dry.

Um yeah.... just figuring that out now.  Completely misunderstood what vegas/action meant.

it's funny looking at Maia's TKO/KO history. hoping for another torn shoulder? :P
He hasn't had the results, but the skill set is there...as will be the opportunity when Woodley lunges in on his own ko attempts...and I don't argue with the funny feelings in my tummy, especially when historically I'm down a bunch fading Maia.

For the trends guys...hooter is 27-7-1 in last 35 co-main events

https://www.tapology.com/profiles/hooter311/predictions?group=bout&group_id=co_main

hooter also knows a thing or two about the skinny chicks...current 12-1 run on 115lb fights.

https://www.tapology.com/profiles/hooter311/predictions?group=bout&weight_class_id=4

Also have picked 74/397 (18.6%) round and method perfectly....If only tapology kept track of the overs/unders....

Also, worst weight class is LW, which comes at no surprise to me....but haven't solved "why?"

well if it hits, you need to get it tattoo'd somewhere on your body. i have to think you are the only one calling the fight that way, would be an awesome call. anfd for the price, is worth the shot

TFW you put all your free play money on a 3-team MLB parlay (all 8 ways) to recoup 70% of your free play, and one of the MLB games gets postponed

also i know most use coinbase and blockchain.

Have heard good things from gemini based out of new york with much lower fees than coinbase.. anyone else use them? and can we use them in place of coinbase for gambling purposes?

i've also watched so much pre-stuff for this card, i got plays all over the place. off the top of my head i believe:

Jones -250 - bunch of units

Lamas +115 - 2 units

Mociano -165 1.5 units

Kattar +285 - .5 unit

PGA Canadian Open

To win:

Tony Finau +2500            T13   -8

Gary Woodland +4000      T2  -11

Chad Campbell +5000       T10  -9

Scott Stallings +6600         T57  -4

Stewart Cink +10000        T36  -6
After cut odds (for comparison, not recommendations)

Tony Finau   +2200  (Still recommended at this price or better)

Gary Woodland +650

Chad Campbell   +2500  (This price or better still has value)

Scott Stallings  N/A

Stewart Cink   N/A (I'd play 100-1 or better all day though)

See value on Poulter +3300, Reavie +3300, Schneiderjans +3300.

Hoffman seems priced fair value at +750.  Dustin Johnson at +500 may be just a bit undervalued.

Very high on Mociano, and finally on team Bones now that he is being honest with himself.  The extended layoff has leaning me leaning under rather than Jones straight.  Jonbees seemed tickled getting his blue belt in BJJ and his submission offense is sometimes overlooked when praising those elbows and knees.

I like hick Diaz, but he seems to be making some excuses for this fight already.  Also Knight flipped his side by side 2 weeks ago and has a 1/2 inch gash next to his right eye that is superglued.  This will come open within the first 2 mins of the fight, but I could also see the gushing blood saving him from an early Lamas guillotine.

more reading looks like need to hold money in a private wallet
It's still confusing but as I understand they'll support BTC not potential new BCC or whatever it's called.

But in general I've heard you are safer holding in a wallet ( blockchain,  etc) than on an exchange (coinbase )

i haven't fully utilized all my pre-show stuff as efficient as i could, been searching for more and more Jones-DC stuff. Went through the bloodyelbow guys podcasts though, and was impressed. I forget which one, but they pointed out some real good stuff favoring Lamas in this one.

And i love Touchy Fili, but that number for Kattar was too tempting. Fun card overall

wallet you control and exchange they control (like what coinbase is doing)

so for example in wallet you can then choose the current bitcoin or the bitcoin cash that is coming

For BE, you listen to the vivisection with Conor and Zane right?  Conor is my favorite MMA analyst.  Zane doesn't gamble so there is a disconnect there.  Heavy hands podcasts with Conor probably best technical analyst in the game.

Care/Don't care with Nate and Eugene is trash but I end up watching it after the vivisection.

Most other MMA podcasts I listen to only to fade their opinions really or to get a better idea of public opinion.

I haven't looked into it but I'd dump it in bookmaker, hold it there thru the change and then send it back.  They have a 1x rollover but it's a fee free way to move your money and avoid the risk.
yeah I took all but 1 k out my accounts... bought a bunch of giftcards but probably time to move it back into the books now and chill..

yeah actually listened to both Vivisection and Heavy Hands. I've always like Strumberg too, so was happy to hear both him and Conner on it (and around 20:30 mark is a funny thing with Strumberg's cat). but yeah, i haven't given them too much thought before this one, but i was combing through all kinds this week and was happy with both of those. even if i disagree they were informed, or at least sounded that way :)

ETA: not sure why i thought it was someone else, Pat Wyman was on the show. Have liked him too, so glad it was still someone good. And yeah there aren't a ton out there that are quality. Still enjoy Dan Hardy breakdowns though too, and Jack Slack has always been on point

what about the 25% gains next month?

I'm fully invested so if someone smarter than me on the topic at the moment feels I'm being blindly ignorant on the topic...please pm me your suggestion.  I will thank you, I'm just trying not to make myself sick with worry in the mean time.

Yes, the coinbase vault has been my stash for last few years without incident.  I keep the wallet address a secret and transfer internally to coinbase wallet first and then to blockchain.
lost me here

I have my money in blockchain which I was told I needed to use to deposit and take money out of gambling sites, and then coinbase which is how I deposit said gambling money into my bank account.  Obviously there is a lot I dont know

Communications from Circle:

Hello,

Based on recent bitcoin developments, it’s likely that a fork is coming. This could cause significant disruptions on the network. As always, we want to make sure your funds are safe.

Sends/receives temporarily suspended
Starting at 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, July 31, 2017 (9:00 UTC), we’ll temporarily disable bitcoin transactions. You won’t be able to send bitcoin, and if you receive bitcoin, it will be credited to your account after we lift the suspension. We’ll do this once the network has stabilized, which is expected to happen on or before Friday, August 4, 2017.

Please note: During this time, the value of bitcoin may decrease. Also, if two bitcoin blockchains do emerge, we may never support the new version and any value on it could potentially be lost to you.

Moving bitcoin prior to the suspension
You can choose to move your bitcoin. Send it to an exchange or wallet that supports multiple forks, generate a bitcoin address there and move your Circle balance before the suspension takes effect. (Please be aware that they may also have their own suspensions). Alternatively, if your account is enabled for it, go to settings and convert your bitcoin balance into US dollars, Euros, or Pounds Sterling.

We’ll make sure you know if there are any other changes as things progress.

Thanks so much,
Team Circle

Coinbase:

Dear Coinbase Customer,

We wanted to provide an update on proposed changes to the Bitcoin network and what that means for bitcoin stored on Coinbase. You can read more about what a digital currency fork is https://blog.coinbase.com/what-is-a-bitcoin-fork-cba07fe73ef1.

Our first priority is the safety of customer funds. In the event of a fork, customer fiat currency (USD, EUR and GBP) and digital currencies (bitcoin, ether and litecoin) are safe.

On August 1st, 2017 there is a proposal to make changes to the bitcoin software. This proposal, known as Bitcoin Cash, is likely to create a fork in the Bitcoin network. This means that after August 1st, 2017 there are likely to be two versions of the Bitcoin blockchain and two separate digital currencies.

In the event of two separate blockchains after August 1, 2017 we will only support one version. We have no plans to support the Bitcoin Cash fork. We have made this decision because it is hard to predict how long the alternative version of bitcoin will survive and if Bitcoin Cash will have future market value.

This means if there are two separate digital currencies – bitcoin (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCC) – customers with Bitcoin stored on Coinbase will only have access to the current version of bitcoin we support (BTC). Customers will not have access to, or be able to withdraw, bitcoin cash (BCC).

Customers who wish to access both bitcoin (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCC) need to withdraw bitcoin stored on Coinbase before 11.59 pm PT July 31, 2017. If you do not wish to access bitcoin cash (BCC) then no action is required.

We plan to temporarily suspend bitcoin buy / sells, deposits and withdrawals on August 1, 2017 as the fork is likely to cause disruption to the bitcoin network. This means your funds will be safe but you will be unable to access your bitcoin (BTC) for a short period of time.

We will keep you updated on this event through our blog, status page and Twitter.

Thank you,

Coinbase Team

CEX.IO:

SegWit and CEX.IO Operation Updates

According to the recent events in the cryptocurrency industry, namely the overwhelming support of SegWit2x/BIP91, SegWit is more than likely to happen without interruptions. Considering this, please be informed about the following updates:

CEX.IO is still supporting SegWit and actively following the news.

If the hard fork happens, we will split only those Bitcoins that are on accounts of CEX.IO users and deposited before the possible hard fork, namely, 12:20 PM (UTC), August, 1st.

There will be NO limitations for Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals on CEX.IO, including the 1st of August. But we reserve the right to suspend them in case of unpredictable conditions, in particular, hard fork activation. We encourage you to monitor the article on our blog for updates.

Please, let us also remind you that there is a chance of considerable Bitcoin price fluctuations on the market, which can be favourable for cryptocurrency trading.

Kraken:

Hi hooter,

We have posted an important announcement on our blog about the “Bitcoin Cash” (BCH) hard fork that will happen on August 1. Everyone should read the complete post, but here are a few highlights from the post:

Kraken plans to support BCH on our platform for funding and trading in the pairs BCH/XBT, BCH/USD, BCH/EUR

Clients holding Bitcoin (XBT) balances at the time of the fork will be credited with an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) - e.g. 1 XBT will result in 1 XBT + 1 BCH

Clients borrowing Bitcoin (XBT) for margin positions at the time of the fork will be debited an equal amount of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) - e.g. if you borrow 1 XBT you must pay back 1 XBT + 1 BCH

Margin traders should read the blog post carefully to understand the added risk and how margin trading will work across the fork

The BCH fork is planned for 12:20 pm UTC on August 1

Bitcoin (XBT) funding will be halted at 11 am UTC and resumed sometime after the fork when it is safe to do so

Trading will continue across the fork, but we may need to halt trading briefly around the time of the fork so we can adjust balances and add pairs

New Blog

We have just launched a major update to the Kraken blog, so when you visit you will notice that it looks very different. The new blog not only looks better, but is hosted on a new platform that will allow us to publish new kinds of content - including the Kraken Daily Market Report, published every day around 2pm PT, with a “heat map” summary of the previous 24 hours of trade action. Take a moment to subscribe to the new blog, by email or RSS!
