whomever decorated chase field for the playoffs must not have been a believer in sabermetrics

because of all the bunting!

@SoccerInsider: 4th-place team in CONCACAF faces Australia/Syria in WCQ playoff next month. Australia/Syria 1st leg Thu at 8:30 am ET ESPN3 WatchESPN

Might need to look into handicapping it at 0530 when I wake up
Because of political unrest, Syria has been playing it's "home" matches in Malaysia. That's right - Malaysia. This is the first leg of home and home matches between Syria and Australia. A lot of predictions are looking at a low-scoring match on a bad pitch. In Australia, some pundits are not very happy with the job that the coach has done and the Socceroo's are missing one of their best players. Add it all up and I think either side would be happy with a draw here. I'll take the underdogs and the half goal.

Syria +.5 -115

I've had my eye on the under. I may pay the juice of 160

2017 LoL Worlds - Main Stage Day 1

G2 Esports ML +220

Royal Never Giveup First Dragon -240

GIGABYTE Marines First Dragon -105

Cloud9 First Tower +160
Oooooof. Variance catching up to me. 0-4

Couple of 50/50 plays in these games away from profit. :kicksrock:

I don't know if I've ever seen a wide open forward hit the post twice in successive shots in any soccer match over U14 rec.

Bucs +11.5/Over 48

Hate teasing side and total in same game, but feels right here.

Also Bucs +200 (1/2 unit)

I think the Bucs win. I don't give two ####s about Pats historical past performance. None of us can stop time. I know what my eyes see when I watch that defense.

Bucs defense has a lot of injuries too

Armenia has lost last 3 matches by combined 10-2 against Montenegro, Denmark,  Romania. Armenia has nothing to play for besides pride.

Poland is 4-1-1 in last 6 matches but that one loss was a terrible match vs Denmark which means they need this W.

Poland TT ov 2.5 -105

Not sure Armenia gets on the board so I like the TT more than the match ov 3.5.

Might be the last game we see the Leafs anywhere close to 2.5 and 5.5. They’re sick.
The whole penalty vs Komarov for his visor was stoopid. If you're gonna make an example out of someone, pick someone who isn't grandfathered to play without visor. Is NHL saying they'd rather he'd play with no visor than "illegal" one? Sounds like they're setting themselves up for a CTE lawsuit in a decade.

Current shopping list:

NCST

Auburn

northwesrern

WVU

Miami (only 81% of the money here, probably hold off)

Colorado St

Marshall

Im kicking myself for not getting +4 when it was available.

Anyone know the $$ is coming in on this game?
61% on the Ville per odds shark. Perusing Twitter public looking at the -3 as a comfy cover from what I'm seeing. I think we wait to see if Ville backers can get us the hook for free, NCST +3.5

245  ET matches (individual and parlay)

Denmark TT ov 1.5 +120  - Montenegro has been stingy at home but Danes have been scoring a bunch lately

N. Ireland - Germany ov 2.5 -140 - Hello? It's Germany.

Honestly I don't see how NC ST doesn't win this game outright. But unit size....
My game plan is spread immediately if it gets to +3.5, take the +3 if we don't get any movement right before kick, and if for some reason we reverse down to +2.5 ML.

I like just about every one of these as well.

Weather gonna be a factor in the NU-Penn State game as well. I think that helps the underdog, definitely the under. Looking like 15-25 mph winds and 70% chance rain.

TB/NE O55 -110

Teaser TB +10 & TB/NE O49

NCST +3 -105

Houston +1.5 HOMER Bet for Sun Night

Surprised you like Northwestern.

Defense played better against Wisconsin, getting healthier. Fitz has owned Franklin (both at PSU and Vandy). I think NU has won last 2 vs. Penn State. Its homecoming.

From what I hear Indiana played PSU fairly tough outside the turnovers and non-off TD's. PSU's OL isn't that great.

Having said this, NU's OL is absoutely brutal, Jackson is banged up (wish I took under rushing last week, prob a good play this week as Larkin getting more carries). Thorson hasn't improved like they thought he would but is due for a better game if he can find time to throw.

Its definitely not one of my bigger plays at all. I lean under as well with the weather and hoping NU D can contain Barkley somewhat. I don't think NU scores much, similar to Wisconsin game. I was thinking maybe a 24-14 game. Wouldn't surprise me at all if NU wins, they put it all together at least a few times a year after looking silly against weaker teams. And a 38-7 PSU victory wouldn't shock me at all with no OL, and a few turnovers and special teams TDs.

Any early NFL leans?  In a contest where I have to pick 7 games ATS each week and I'm sort of at the middle of the pack...and this week looks brutal to the average joe's eye.

Are the odds makers just ####### with me?  Washington State opened +2 to +2.5 vs Oregon.  It's now WSU -2.5 but I pounced at the open and hold WSU +2.  For the life of me, I cannot understand this opening line.  Oregon's going with either a QB (Taylor Alie, who can't throw a forward pass with any accuracy) that was converted to WR but thrust back into QB action after 2 high recruits transferred because they were stuck behind Hebert or a true freshman QB who had to burn his redshirt last week because Alie was concussed.  The drop-off from starter to back-up QB in Oregon's history has been an abysmal failure - see the Alamo Bowl vs TCU or injuries to Mariota, Dennis Dixon, Kellen Clemons in the past.  The offense seems to go from Ferrari to Geo every single time.

And now red hot Washington State comes in, fresh off a USC victory last Friday?  A team that donkey punched Oregon last year and won in Eugene two years ago as 17 point dogs?  A team with a Heisman contender at QB, a sound run game and a defense that sealed the victory over USC?

I don't get it.  I mean, I'm going to the game on Saturday, I'll be rooting for the Ducks, but I am astonished that oddsmakers listed the Ducks as favorites early in the week.  Makes me worry a bit holding this big WSU +2 ticket.  Call it the misery hedge, but I don't see any way the Ducks win this game with a back-up QB.  Not against this WSU team.

You guys think they're making it up?  I just thought it was super interesting and that they take all the fun out of betting sports.  Didn't figure they were lying though.

I don't think they're making it up.  Steam chasing is miserable, you're glued to the screen watching line moves and because you didn't make your own number you must rely on the knowledge of others so you can't walk away from the screen and miss a move. It's awful, I've tried it.
