Sadly I think this is true and Sparty could be in trouble defensively, but they should be able to score vs Wash St too.

From a pace perspective, Washington State should benefit from their up-tempo style, the likes of which have given Michigan State’s seventh ranked S&P+ defense fits this season. The Mike Leach Air Raid game plan will have many similarities to those utilized by Notre Dame and Ohio State, who both handled Sparty with ease.

(I admit I stole this from CBS... ) If there is anything set to slow down Washington State beyond a Spartans defense, keyed by defensive end Kenny Willekes and Khari Willis and Chris Frey, it is the loss of top wide receivers Tavares Martin Jr. and Isaiah Johnson-Mack. Both left the team after the regular season. That leaves freshman Renard Bell and junior Kyle Sweet as the Cougars' leading pass catchers.

personally think Michigan State might be the play based on this..........

ETA to add - that is losing 130 catches, nearly 1400 yards and 14 td's.. those are not insignificant numbers

dont think the wrs matter honestly if they play the short passing game.  NW haw a bunch of no buddies and MSU couldnt stop the no huddle quick offense similar to what wash st should do.  mostly looking at falk over completions pending the number

I took Carmona O24.5. I'm hoping worst case I get a no-action on it (no targets, no catches). He averages 27 yds per reception.

I like it less with Perry at QB though. Not sure if Abey is playing any QB today.
