Over the long term, it will be good for all sports gamblers.  More players means more competition b/w books (offshore and local), more books offering props, etc.

I understand this completely. It would be awesome though to have something that I could just drive to in AC from the Philly area and spend a weekend with friends betting football all weekend in the fall for a guys weekend. Vegas will always have its place as will online for grinding out plays and line shopping, but for stuff with friends + booze and watching live, I'd absolutely love for legalization nationwide to have weekends like that that didn't necessarily have to involve a cross country flight.
