*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (2 Viewers)

I was engaged at 20. The woman I was engaged to was 21. And she was spoiled. Super spoiled. While we were in the middle of the negotiations I was about to "walk away" from the deal. I was gonna walk, told the guy I was unhappy and was gonna leave (standard negotiating tactic) and then she starts crying in the middle of the showroom in front of everyone because she liked the car so much and didn't want to leave. I went to pick up the plates a few days later.. guy was already on vacation.
Ha

My wife too.

We were at the audi dealership. It was our 1st visit. I wasn't 100% ready to buy but she was. We were paying cash too, so i had flexibility to finanace some all or none...whatever would get me a better price....

We sit down offer is up she is more of a negotiator than me but i figured i would play the hesitant husband and say we need to go home and discuss. Im like...im not sure. Lets go home and see what are total finances looks like before we commit.

"Why are we gonna go home Carl? Its a great offer, were not gonna get a better offer than this. I think we should take it."

I wanted to take the sales reps audi staples from his desk and whack her over the head.

He probably tells the story a lot better than me to his friends.

I never went through with it. In the words of Doug Stanhope, from the book I'm currently reading, "I’m sure that when I was twenty I believed things I was taught rather than things I’d experienced or had grown to conclude on my own."

Interesting conversation on another board.  If you had to make a fair number on Tiger winning one more Major, what ya make it?

MLB.tv has me spoiled. God forbid you'd want to watch actual baseball. This ESPN broadcast is trying way too hard to appeal to low attention spans. Show the ####### game!! Seriously. Just show the game. Take the crawl away for ####s sake at the very least. :loco: too much #### going on to watch the actual game

Interested in tailing as I always feel like mornings have a huge gambling sized hole in them.

How have you been doing so far?
I'm badd at keeping track of that type of stuff badd as in I don't do it

I have a few meetings this morning I'll see if I can round up everything since the start of EPL league

After yesterday?  -150 maybe?  I wouldn't want to be the book on it though.

See? I guarantee you everyone at ESPN was going nuts because of the "pitchers duel" not attracting and/or maintaining viewers. So 90% of the broadcast became all about crap that didn't matter. They literally did a huge piece they kept referring back to about Cole Hamels winning an MVP award ten seasons ago. They did inane, split-screen manager interviews. They showed breaking news alerts scrolling across the bottom of the entire broadcast. They basically did everything but broadcast baseball. But then, in the moment of truth, boom grand slam walk off home run. Just broadcast the game. For the love of god.

Who would you nerds pick 5th overall in a 12 team that starts 2 RB 3 WR.  No PPR

Assume Gurley,  Bell, David Johnson and Zeke gone

Impressive!

F5 - Reds / Indians O5, -120

Homer Bailey and his 1-9 record and 6.19 ERA speaks for itself. The Indians are liable to cover this spread by themselves and it's a hitter's park so anything Clevinger gives up is gravy. I was tempted to take the F5 over in the Mets / Yankees game but I thought better of it. Look at how awful Bailey has been at home this year.

Earned runs: 1,3,4,5,6,6,4,2

37.5% of the time, he covers or pushes this bet by himself. 3rd warmest weather of all the games played today. Indians have one of the best offenses in the entire MLB.

I bet Bartolo sits at the head of his table at dinner. I bet he hosts a very impressive banquet and after he invites you to attend he sits at the head of the table and makes sure everyone always gets plenty of healthy food to eat.

I was so glad to be done with MLB.  No stress of dumb bets every night.  Just looking forward to football, hammering Alshon season unders at 5D (you're welcome, @TheGooRoo) and totes destroying Canadian Football Lique teasers.

Sigh....
