*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (7 Viewers)

LAD F5 +120 - I know this goes against just about the rest of the thread. I am being stubborn. Ryu has has an era under 2, Boston hasn't seen him before. I think that is enough to get the job done for the 1st 5 innings.

Good luck AB.  I have no problem with Boston waiting until the 6th to blast Ryu out of there. :D

For 13 years the Ravens played their home games on artificial turf, but switched from artificial turf to natural grass at M&T Bank Stadium for the 2016 season. Playing surface has made a big difference to Baltimore, especially in their road games. During the L5 seasons Ravens have gone 70% ATS away on grass but only 30% ATS away on artificial surface. Their opponent this week, Panthers' Bank of America Stadium is carpeted in Voyager Bermuda grass. This species of grass is super hardy and allows it to withstand the damage inflicted during hard-fought NFL games. Since W7 of 2015 the Ravens have gone 12-2 ATS on an opponent's natural surface (7-0 ATS non-division). On the other hand, they have only won two of their L13 games on the artificial surface (2-11 SU and 4-9 ATS).

Going on my Supercontest card.  Thanks holmes.

Hyun-jin Ryu has had a nice run since coming off the DL on 8/15. However, he hasn't been the same pitcher on the road. In 8 road starts, his ERA is 4.63 with an xERA of 5.24 and ERC of 5.03. Only 2 of those games were quality starts.

During the L5 seasons Paul Johnson has gone 7-6 SU and 11-2 ATS catching less than 8 points as the underdog, losing the six games by a margin of 1,1,2,3,5,6 points per game. Yellow Jackets 6-0 ATS L6 at VT.
Since 2006 head coach Paul Johnson 16-4-1 O/U after a home loss (9-1-1 O/U away). sdql

Yo that Georgia Tech total was 58 like 5 minutes ago <_<

I don't know though, Johnson and them 1-8-1 O/U versus VT..

Funny story from work today. I'm on a 15 minute break and am looking for a TV to watch the World Series on. I'm walking around and a guy who's watching a random TV looks at me and says, "You trying to watch the World Series?".

Me: Yeah, I'm surprised everyone else is watching a meaningless NBA Bucks / 76ers game.

*He turns on the World Series. The bases are loaded in the bottom of the 5th.*

Me: Nice, I think Boston is going to sweep the Dodgers.

Stranger: You a Red Sox fan or something?

Me: No, I've got money on the games.

Stranger: I used to sport bet for 15 years but I had to stop.

Me: Oh yeah? What was your favorite sport to bet on?

Stranger: I used to really like betting on baseball. Take dominate pitchers. I mean, I loved betting on football but it's hard to beat.

Me: Yeah, a fluke fumble at any time can ruin any spread / total. Too many players touch the ball. I actually think the NBA is most beatable.

Stranger: Oh yeah? I remember a few years back, Tim Duncan, Ginobili, and a bunch of Spurs were all out against the Golden State Warriors. They ####### won straight up. I lost my ### off.

Me: That sucks man. Sometimes I've learned is that if it's true good to be true, you've got to bet the opposite.

*Dodgers' pitcher throws 3rd ball*

Me: They're going to walk in the tying run.

Stranger: You ever pay for services?

Me: No, I'm a genius. I don't need to pay anyone, I hit about 58% of my plays.

Stranger: If I hit 58% of my plays, I never would have quit.

*Loads up Red Sox futures on phone*

Me: Check out what I've got on the series

*Hands phone over to stranger with Red Sox futures loaded (LINK). Stranger squints at phone screen. The Dodgers walk in the tying run.*

Stranger: You win $475 if the Red Sox win in 6 games?

Me: I win $1,100 if the Red Sox sweep.

Stranger: Get this the hell away from me, this is like bringing alcohol to an alcoholics anonymous meeting.

Me: You want to do a few bumps after work?

*Shared laughter followed by the Red Sox hitting a 2-run single. *

Me: Hell yeah! Let's go Red Sox! Woo!

*Pretty girl from training walks up and starts making small talk with me about the baseball game. Stranger begins talking to her, she leaves.*

Stranger: I'm going to assume you're new here. What vertical (department) do you work in?

Me: I work in fashion. Which sounds like it would suck, but I work with a bunch of hot chicks all day. Like that girl who you were just talking to, I've known her for less than 2 weeks.

Stranger: That was a smart move. I work in sports. I work with a bunch of dudes.

Me: That would drive me nuts. Having to talk to a bunch of average Joes acting like they know what the hell they're talking about in sports.

Stranger: Yeah, you're right. I had this guy tell me today that this game wasn't on until tomorrow. I kept telling him it was on tonight but he kept insisting. It's actually the reason I wasn't watching the game. I thought it was on. Guy was from Philly, said he was going to buy a Dodgers jersey. Didn't make any sense.

Me: He picked the wrong team to bandwagon on.

*Looks at phone.*

Me: Hey man, my name is Erik, what's your name? I'd be happy to talk your ear off about sports again.

*Extends hand for handshake. Shakes hand.*

Stranger: My name is Michael. It's nice to meet you.

Me: Nice to meet you too, god bless.

*I walk away and go back to training.*

I don't know if I'll ever talk to Michael again, but it would be my honor and privilege to help a middle-aged man get back into sports betting and more importantly, help him win some money.

Just wanted to let everyone know I hit the Nucks at +200 last night, which probably makes me a genius or something.
Now, if only there were a middle aged man somewhere for me to share my outstanding knowledge with..............

I will share THIS with any of you middle aged men here who find it valuable. The Jackets have gone O1.5 goals in the FP in
7 out of their 8 games. At some point this season I'm sure they'll start playing defense right out of the gate, but they haven't
yet. I don't have it lined anywhere yet, but as soon as it comes out I'll be hitting the FP over again in the Jackets game.

Because there is no baseball for me to lose more $ on tonight....( and you know the second I go to the Boston side, LAD will start winning)

Mia/Hou U44.5
Teaser Hou -1.5/U50.5

Both defenses are reasonably good. Osweiler is a backup for a reason and that offense is banged up.  Watson is playing on short rest after playing Sunday with a lung condition that did not allow him to fly. I see a defensive battle on a short week. Houston is the better team, and at home so that should be enough to get the W.

they ain't getting no love where the love

“I’ve been here 11 years,” Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said. “Eight of the 11 years, the team that’s won the Virginia Tech-Georgia Tech game has won the Coastal Division. Again, I just kind of deal with facts, I don’t go off the revisionist stuff. “They’ve won it five times, we’ve won it three times and three other teams have won it once. That’s the facts, and that’s probably why it’s been a rivalry.”

@AndyBitterVT LB Rayshard Ashby said former #Hokies mike Andrew Motuapuaka spoke to the linebackers about defending GT's option, giving them some tips. Motuapuaka saw it several times in his career.

Nobody in this year's LB crew has faced it.
Georgia Tech 1H o13½ -120

playoff dog
During the L15 seasons the Red Sox have gone 16-4 SU in the playoffs lined greater than +110 on the moneyline (average moneyline +130). Since last October 8th they are 7-0 SU 8±4 rpg lined greater than +110 on the moneyline in the playoffs.

Came in here to post Watson rushing under.  Feels good to be on your side.  Thanks homie.

Broncs lost THEIR qb on the first drive.  I was with you, but this looks dead.
Yeah, Guadagni sure looks good for a kid who got yanked two games ago and didn't play last week because
of concussion after affects. Not a good start between this and the Flyers deciding they all of a sudden wanted to
play defense against Boston.
