Wireless Bridge or wireless adapter. The microsoft 360 wireless adapter is top notch IMO.Can the online part be set up via wireless router? Do I need anything that doesn't come with the premium system?

I'm feelin' a little different. I've been enjoying the campaign WAY more than the 4 v 4. Give it a shot.Edited to add: And the way the adrenline flows in a match is awesome. You seriously feel nervous just before a match starts.
The only things you need aside from the premium system are (1) the game and (2) an XBOX Live subscription card. I'm running mine over a wireless router. I have weird disconnects when trying to connect to certain games for some reason, but once I am connected and playing I've never had a problem. Can the online part be set up via wireless router? I'll be in as of 1am cst tonight, ready to become cannon fodder.BTW, Usual, update the fist post with more user names:My game came in the mail today, so look forward to pVVn4g3 by teh Cow
Just thought I would share with the group my justification for picking this up yesterday. Now, $500 bones is a lot of money for anyone to throw down, particularly on something like a video game. That said, I figured out a way to justify it. Lately, I've been spending far too much time in bars. The downside is that (1) you spend a lot of money (my bar tab is $40-$50 on an average night, but can exceed that significantly), (2) you are drinking beer and eating bar food, which means you are only getting fatter and destroying your new health kick, and (3) hangovers suck -- you feel like hell and they screw with your work.Financially, buying this thing made total sense. There are plenty of nights where I end up out drinking just because I really have nothing else going on. Now, given other options, (for example, heading home to play somegame), I might otherwise do that instead. So, if there are just 8-10 nights over the course of the next year where I am on the fence about going out and instead just go home to take it easy and play some XBOX, this entire thing has basically paid for itself -- and I have the added health benefits that come with it (including the decreased risk of STDs when sitting home along being a
versus being out on the town
and
.So all in all, it's win-win. For those other bachelors out there who are on the fence, just do it. It is well worth the price of admission.

Sorry for the confusion -- yes, you are right, I used the CAT-5 cable to plug the 360 into my wireless router. At some point I will want a wireless thing so I don't have the long wire running across my apartment. You aren't running it wireless without the adapter, though. Did you purchase a bundle that came with this little gem, Otis, or are you wired to your wireless router with the Cat-5 cable?

Hope you didn't upgrade shipping - my 99 cent shipping got here today. For those of you that bought the game from the place Mad Cow suggested, and only did the $.99 shipping. If you want to get it sooner, I emailed support and they said send me the order number shipping address, and they will help.
Excellent - need another BF2/2142 buddy to roll with and teach these n00bs how to play.im probably gonna get this for Xmas. So consider this my blackdot
It would be a freaking BETTER idea with our FBG names next to the Live name. I am killing myself figuring it out right now.it would be a good idea to add everyone on the list if you are getting the game now..that way when we are playing we can invite you in
Nice. I had that same setup in my house for exactly thirty minutes. The first time I got up for a beer and tripped over the cable, I grabbed my keys and kept right on walking out the door. The adapter is pricey, but it's gold, Jerry ... gold.Random: Yes ... it comes with an ordinary network cable, and I'm pretty sure you have to register your console and sign up for LIVE before getting a gametag; however, I could be wrong here.Sorry for the confusion -- yes, you are right, I used the CAT-5 cable to plug the 360 into my wireless router. Yes.I actually just went on Ebay and bought Microsoft XBOX 360 wireless adapter (used) for $55. Not a bad deal, and who cares if it's used. It's also powered by the XBOX, so no extra cables. Is this a standard network cable?Sorry for the confusion -- yes, you are right, I used the CAT-5 cable to plug the 360 into my wireless router. That's it. Yes buy a live gold subscription -- if you dont, a free 48 hours comes with the xbox.Took me about 30 minutes from opening the boxes to playing? Most of the time is spent typing the damned information into the system using the controller. If I had a keyboard hooked up (can you even do that?) I'd have been done in 10-15 mins.Ok, so I need to get:XBOX premiumlive gold subscription (do I need this or will I get a free 30 days?)GOW non collectors editionanything else?how long does it take to set up everything?

You'll be up and running in about 15 minutes.30-day LIVE does come with the console purchase, so you're OK there. Other than that, you're all set.Unless you're wanting to go through batteries in pretty short order, I'd spend $20 on a plug-and-play wireless controller battery/charger, but it's not necessary at all when first starting out. Just make sure you always have a set of fresh AAs handy.Ok, so I need to get:XBOX premiumlive gold subscription (do I need this or will I get a free 30 days?)GOW non collectors editionanything else?how long does it take to set up everything?
