Yeah they were. We'll never recapture those couple of years. All Ive managed to do was DL it, attempt to play for an hour and havent been on the xbox since. 

Hope you are well my world traveling gigolo! Miss you too. 

 
Phoenix having melt downs, players falling a sleep while waiting to respawn, Herbal shooting guns out his window....good times.

Mobbin, what was your buddies gamertag again? I used to play with him and dude all the time.

F' it, I'm going to go to gamestop tomorrow and swap out my ps4 for an xbox one.

We, specifically s7uttmonkey and I were so horrifically mean smack talkers. I cringe at the things I said simply to try and troll other players. NOTHING was off limits. 

Hope none of that was recorded. :oldunsure:

 
my first interaction with a stranger online and an FBG was playing Gears - waiting in the lobby watching the Rutgers game.  I forget who they upset.

That might have been JTG.

 
Well this didn't last very long. I haven't played since opening weekend. Haven't had an urge to either. I think the magic is just gone.

Game feels wrong. They made it for the casuals attempting to lore the cod fans to gears. Casuals leave after a week and the cod people are going back to the flavor of the week. Not to mention cod is going back to its roots and looks damn good and the beta was super fun. Gears has been in a mid life crysis since the Coalition took over. They are the band who is on the forth studio album that bombs and they don't understand why after changing everything that made them popular. I can't believe they launched with 7 maps. 7! Terrible. Five of which are hot trash and tiny. They do have five of the best maps from Gears 4 in the game, but unplayable in standard matchmaking. Dumb. I never understand how out of touch these companies get. Don't make the game you want(stupid decisions, boring, slow, repetitive), make the game your fans want(fun, fast, balance), or they will abandon your product.

 
Going to be playing Multi tonight. Played a little a few weeks back and the game feels better than a year ago.  We did quite well and had lots of laughs. Time to try again.

Gator, our times in the Gearsverse didn't overlap much, but I became the point man and power weapon main for our group. Torque was my specialty. That, nades and longshot. Watch them heads crunch. Also, respect the hammerburst as it balls out if you combo it with gnasher and snub. Boy do I love the snub. It is so easy to tell who can game by watching the snub use. It's all about awareness.

The 15 year-old was beaten by a 36 year-old waiting in line, also. Apparently, an argument ensued after the cashier claimed there were no more copies available. The 36 year-old named "Deion" started yelling and tried to cut in line in an attempt to purchase the last copy and a brawl started. The older customer sent a barrage of fists and harsh language at the younger patron. The police were then called. "Deion" was arrested for aggravated assault and is currently awaiting arraignment at a local correctional facility. The 15 year-old was taken to a local hospital for several wounds to the head and neck. The final copy of the game is being held as evidence.

What made Gears so dope was the death cam and open chat between both teams. Dead players all watching and commenting or talking egregiously barbaric trash talk.

So much pressure being the last guy left fighting for a win (or draw).
