Official: I'm starting Knowshon Moreno thread (1 Viewer)

I drafted before preseason week 4 and took RBs in this order: Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Andre Brown (got hurt later that day) and then in like the 16th round, I took Moreno. Ball I think went in the 2nd or 3rd round and Hillman went in like the 7th or 8th. In PPR ... Moreno was a STEAL.

Not happy that he is my #2 RB though. Bradshaw needs to start getting more touches.

Do I need to tell everyone what happens as soon as all his owners feel comfortable putting him in their lineups?

Moreno had a solid string of games last year. Look - he's fairly pedestrian. We know that. But he doesn't make mistakes and its obvious Ball and Hillman are not trusted one bit. Therefore - he's an RB2 or flex play for sure. I've seen what I needed. He has no threat.

I started him and he helped me win! :) Thanks Knowshon, definitely going to ride you until you disappoint.

(He's my RB3 behind Adrian Peterson and Arian Foster in the Dynasty in which I own him.)

In PPR, if you got him after the 8th round ... That's gold Jerry ... GOLD!

How you feel about Kenbrell now? Bet you wish you had listened to me, instead, and drafted Moreno around the same ADP.

My team is 2-0 ... how about yours?

Any of you still wanna bet with me on Kenbrell Thompkins production this year? I didn't think so.

He's not even the best available UDRFA WR signed to a team this year. See: Marlon Brown

Should we all be sending you cookies now or should we maybe wait until a little later than 2 weeks into the NFL season?

Who are you?

So this thread may not be the most appropriate but I was wondering what we think Moreno's value is now. What RB tier to you put him into? I want to trade him but I want to get fair value for him.

Broncos will be ahead in a lot of upcoming games which means a big dose of Moreno in the second half.
So far, this has proven to be false. This is what worries me the most about Moreno. It seems like they want to ease Ball in, and they are doing so by playing him a lot at the end of games.

Referring to OG_GF's post a few above mine, too much bragging after two games could jinx Knowshon and those of us who believed in him all summer. Please stop or we'll be searching for a new starting RB.

So I just traded Moreno and if you are wondering the value of him according to our league I got Cook/Kaep for Moreno/Cutler from an owner that already had Ryan. Thought you guys might want to know, if not, feel free to ignore.

Wow.

Great value, there.

Great trade for you.

I got Moreno for $1 in my auction draft. I will be starting him over the $43 Trent Richardson this weekend.

He did have Pierre Thomas starting, so yes.

To get back to the thread, I would have started Moreno over D. Richardson and Pierce (even if Rice was out this week).

Umm... #6 rb when he took over last year.... #6 again through two games this year. Pulling him off my bench this week. He's surprisingly undervalued as a reciever... 26 catches in 6 starts last year.

I am rolling with him this week.

I've got MJD coming off injury against SEA (and who knows if he will even play or not...if he does, I am 99% not starting him)

I've got Lacey like out with a concussion

I've got Brandon Bolden stocked away

So it's Moreno and TRich this week...let's go!

Likely to sit Ray Rice, even if he shows something in practice, which means step up to the plate Knowshon. It's your time to shine!

I'm starting Moreno as my #2 RB over Bernard Pierce and Fred Jackson. If Ray Rice is out though, I'll be starting Pierce over Moreno. I just like the potential for Pierce getting all of the carries over Moreno getting the majority of a three person time share.

I love Moreno as a startable RB at this point of the season.

Remember who Moreno's coach is and how he handled RBs in Carolina.....if Moreno is producing, Ball isn't much of a threat.

i'm starting him over McFadden. Denver will kill Oakland at home, and McFadden did nothing agains them last year. I'll take the RB from the team at home and on the good side of a dominating blowout.

I'm starting him but am a little worried that if it is a blowout, he will not be the guy salting it away in the 2nd half.

Agree - but I think Moreno will get his well before the 4th quarter. Ball will pound it late but I don't think we are relying on pure garbage time here.

Have no choice to other than to do so this week in the only league in which I own him(Rice owner).

The Clady news doesn't make me feel great about it. Likely more snaps for him overall, but I think he'll be staying at home to block a lot rather than going out for many dump offs on 3rds.

You guys starting moreno over Trich are crazy. Prepare your faces for back fire.
It would have proven to be the right move in weeks one and two. Not saying I'd have the balls to do it, but at some point, preseason rankings and draft positions become meaningless and you have to step back and take notice of who's really playing better. Still too soon for me to sit TRich, though.

This is Peyton Manning's offense, not John Fox's..

That being said, remember that other pedestrian Peyton Manning RB, Joseph Addai? Seemed to work fine as a RB2 then and I'll compare that situation to Moreno now..

I have to get Moreno in my lineup this week. Luckily, I had the foresight to start him over DRich last week. I'm pondering sitting DeMarco, DRich or Jacquizz

Since OG is the center of the fantasy football universe, I understand your concern.

Why are people worried about Ball? 20 carries for what, 40 yards? He keeps that suckitude up, and Knowshon will have no worries. Particularly with the only other competition being Ronnie, light weight, Hillman....
