***Official Jays Thread*** They spent $234 Million on this? (1 Viewer)

Manoah Tommy John. It was like 14 months ago this would have felt devastating for the franchise.

Now no one including me can be bothered to give a **** about the player or the team. And for good reason

First lineup of 2025!

1. Bichette, SS
2. Guerrero Jr, 1B
3. Santander, LF
4. Gimenez, 2B
5. Kirk, C
6. Springer, CF
7. Wagner, DH
8. Clement, 3B
9. Roden, RF
---------

These are the right 9 players IMO. I could quibble with the order (Gimenez DH isn't ideal, Springer should arguably be even lower) but I'm glad they didn't galaxy brain it and throw Nathan Lukes or Myles Straw in at CF.

And I am super hyped to see Alan Roden in the lineup, all he has done is hit since the second he came into the organization as a 3rd round pick in 2022. No one really paid attention until this spring (because he was an older prospect and is already 25) but 2023 in High-A/AA .317/.430/.459 and 2024 in AA/AAA .293/.391/.475 with 12% walk rate and 13% K-rate overall, he looks like he should play. .407/.541/.704 in spring as well to solidify his roster and opening day spot.

Hope nobody hits the ball to the gap between Santander and Springer
