Laveranues Coles-WR- Jets Nov. 30 - 5:42 pm et

Laveranues Coles (ankle, questionable) was limited in practice for the third straight day Friday. Coles has progressed well according to several reports and he's on track to play against Miami. Check the early inactives, but it's likely he'll start.

i have to go with him early in case fitz is out...can't rick not starting coles and then having fitz inactive, but FWIW, i'm only about 75% confident of coles this week. have one of those sick "re-aggravates the injury on the 4th play of the game" feelings. if you have a more sure thing WR i'd put him in over coles, but to your ? about cotch, yes, i think if coles DOES play a full game he gets nice numbers due to cotch's absence.

If he does play, do you go with him since Cotchery is out or do you feel he is too risky?
Look how Cotchery has faired without Coles in the lineup. Smith and McCareins have not been able to keep the defense honest, so I believe the Dolphins put 8 in the box to slow TJ, and double Coles all game long. If anyone is upgraded, I think it is CBaker. I'd sit Coles if at all possible.

Coles is active per NFL.com

New York Jets

Inactives: QB Marques Tuiasosopo, CB Andre Dyson, DE Mike Devito, T Jacob Bender, T Adrian Jones, TE Jason Pociask, WR Jerricho Cotchery, DT Kareem Brown.

Fantasy take: WR Laveranues Coles is active and will start in Miami. WRs Justin McCareins and Brad Smith will see more work with Cotchery out of action.

SportsNation Tristan H. Cockcroft: (12:07 p.m. ET) ESPN's John Clayton reports Jerricho Cotchery (finger) is inactive for Week 13 for the Jets, while Laveranues Coles (ankle) is active. Cotchery's season might be over following surgery, but Coles should be safe to use as a No. 2 receiver, especially since his number of targets should increase in Cotchery's
