I freely admit that my Caps fandom peaks in April and May.  I follow them loosely through the season and catch the odd game, but mostly it's a playoff thing.  

I think I'm doing it wrong.

I'm the same. Too many post season disappointments for me to care about the regular season. I too now see that we've had it all wrong. Playoffs are chance. The Presidents Cup is much harder to get. It means much more than the randomness  of some I'll-formatted tournament. I'm all in for the Presidents Cup now. Where can I find some Presidents Cup hats and coffee mugs? That's the real title to celebrate.
