*** Official Lost Season 6 *** (1 Viewer)

Been watching this show over the past few months. Was very into it at first. But WOW season 5 is terribad.
Season 5 is just as good as 4 and is just as good as season 6. In fact, season 6 is great writing that was able to fill in many of the "holes" from the series and the finale is one of the better finales in television history. Top 5 show ever.
Pretty much this, except the exact opposite. What a mess that show turned out to be.

Did they ever say what Abbadon's role in all of this was?
no, they copped out and just killed him unceremoniously and basically ####ed the viewers like with every other ####in' one of their stupid explaniations
Quit #####ing because you weren't smart enough to understand the show.
oh, so now to cover up the sloppy writing on the show you're going to call one of the more intelligent posters on the board stupid.nice.

90% of the stuff that you've whined about has been explained, and most of it is actually in this thread. There have been several people that have answered questions that others had - people that actually thought about things and looked deep enough to realize that the questions were answered. There have been links posted to outside sources that have done the same. Since you've read these, and still say that there were questions that weren't answered, I can only assume that you aren't capable of comprehending the show. And :goodposting:  :banned: at calling yourself one of the most intelligent posters on this board. If that's actually true, you're just being a condescending tool. If it's not (this is where my vote lies), then you're just making yourself look even less intelligent. Either way, that's just a ridiculous comment. On a positive note, I'm glad for your family that this thread has been brought back to life. You know, since it allows you to vent and makes for a happier home life and all.

Dr No just let it go. We get it you didn't like the way Lost turned out. No one forced you to continue watching. Stop being just a doosh and move on with your life.

I miss this show. About this time last year, we were all in deep discussion mode. First year without LOST is making me a bit lost.

There are three post-LOST projects going on. 1 each on NBC, CBS, and Fox.

Odd Jobs

Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson reunite to star in this NBC comedic drama. It will be produced and directed by J. J. Abrams, with Bryan Burk as executive producer. It has been picked up as a currently untitled pilot which was written for Warner Brothers TV and is to be aired on NBC with the possibility of a season pick up. It has been billed as an hour long drama.

Emerson and O'Quinn will portray former black-ops agents who are now "retired" and work odd missions (or "jobs") to pass the time. The Associate Press said that the show focuses on "the age and frailty of the actors." ABC bid heavily for it but were eventually outbid by NBC.

The show will be run by frequent J. J. Abrams collaborators Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum, the two worked with Abrams on Alias.

Despite being picked up by NBC, further development of the show has been postponed. Michael Emerson has since joined the pilot of a different J.J. Abrams pilot, Person of Interest.

Person of Interest

There's no island involved, but Michael Emerson is about to get mysterious again -- for JJ Abrams.

The "LOST" star, who played the dark and malicious Ben Linus on the legendary TV series, has been cast in one of Abrams' several new pilots, a crime-fighting show called "Person of Interest" on CBS. And Emerson has perhaps the most interesting role.

According to Deadline.com, Emerson will play a mysterious billionaire who helps an ex-CIA agent, presumed dead, to fight crime in New York City. Ironically, this role comes about because another Emerson and Abrams project, a show pilot called "Odd Jobs," has been pushed back.

Alcatraz

Alcatraz is an American television pilot and broadcast on the FOX network, set to star Jorge Garcia and Sarah Jones. Bad Robot Productions will produce the pilot episode, which is based on a screenplay by Elizabeth Sarnoff, Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt.

Alcatraz follows Rebecca Madsen, a police officer (Sarah Jones), and Dr. Diego Soto, a "hippy geek" who is the world's foremost expert on Alcatraz (Jorge Garcia). Both will investigate the reappearance of twenty wardens and prisoners of Alcatraz in modern day, after their mysterious disappearance fifty years ago.

Also:

Josh Holloway is in the new Mission Impossible film set for a December release, written and produced by Abrams.

For those wanting to rewatch the DVD's - how much worse is it when you know the red herrings have no payoff?
:goodposting: there is no chance i'd ever watch an episode of this if it were on re-run, nor watch the dvd's ever again.in fact, one of my best buddies who worshiped lost said that there's no chance this deserves a re-watch.just terrible.

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't care that this wasn't wrapped into a nice pretty bow, or even in a box at all. I enjoyed the adventure, mysteries, and characters and will watch it again.

:hangover: I think the people that enjoyed the show are able to move on without it better than you two. Kind of sad. I could rewatch the whole show again with no problems. Not sure I would ever invest that much time though, around 120 episodes at 40 minutes a piece would be 80 hours. If I rewatched it, I would want to watch as much as I could in a short time.

When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him.

I'd watch season one again :lmao:
I'd watch every episode of every season again.Well maybe not Jack's tattoo episode.Great series. I miss the hell out of it and I agree with Mario - it's like there this huge gaping hole this time of year where "Lost" is supposed to be (and "24" too for me).

Pretty good article looking back on the series a year later. Even folks who didn't like it might get something out of it. This Doc Jensen dude always did a pretty good job of taking the episodes apart and explaining some things. Here he attempts to do it with the series:

"Doc Jensen: One year after ''The End,'' the need to ''make sense of it'' fades, while his desire to apply its themes gets stronger."

I plan to rewatch with my kids once they are old enough. I think it will be great watching their reaction to stuff. I can't say I loved the final season or the finale but the show entertained the hell out of me for six years and that has to count for something. I was also never engrossed in another show like I was with this one.

I watched seasons 1-3 about six months ago. As soon as I finish battle star gallactica I'll slowly start watching 4-6. Incredible show. My favorite of all time.

i'm rewatching lost... just finished season 1. i can see how it had a major following after season one. the character development in the first season is some of the best ever in television. the flashbacks in make it such a captivating show.

i'm thoroughly enjoying the rewatch... i think the first season is some of the best television ever.

I agree. I was on board pretty much all the way through Season 3 and much of 4. I enjoyed the entire run, but Seasons 1 and 2 are unbelievably good television.
