I started to make a stupid post about being able to zoom in and read the model number through magnification.   

 In all seriousness though, the main reason these stuck out to me as being new washing machines was the profile.  Just had the same lines as a set of washer/dryers that stood out to me recently while walking through HD or Lowes.  Much like this:

The ones I remember seeing before were shown on the floor in 2 colors: Orange and either a gray or some muted shade of purple.
Regardless, if these were older models, wouldn't they have big protruding dials instead of a more sleek appearance?  In other words, I don't see any controls on the machines in this picture:

which leads me to believe that it's a push button set-up.  Not exactly something you'd see on a machine out of the 60's.
