As Tick stated, somone was able to get screen caps of the comic book and translate the spanish dialogue. IRRC, the comic book may also actually be a real comic book, not something created by the show, but I could be wrong on that count.

I think there was a list in the season 1 thread of at least "what we know," but I'm far too lazy to try to find it.I don't think there was anything for theories proven/disproven.

No I haven't read any spoilers.The confusing thing about the guy living in the dome is that he clearly is not in direct physical contact with the outside world and has not been for at least 20 years. The computer system is too old. He's replaying old vinyl records repeatedly. I'd date the technology in there to at least 1985.

. I did replay several parts over and over. The Shannon/Walt scence, I could not tell what the whispers said but the last one said "shannon" and she looks over and see's Walt.

Unless the guy in the hatch is a twin of Desmond. NB - I do not subscribe to this theory.I still think the "hatch" has been there since the 70's (1973 is my guess, based on Danielle being there 16 years and the possibility that someone else was there 16 years before that, making it 1973), and that Desmond in his "race around the world" somehow ended up there. There didn't appear to be so much vegetation as there was dirt around the hatch and given that the hatch was near the base of an incline it's not unreasonable to believe that the torrential rains washed soil down the hill which came to rest on the hatch, thus concealing most of it.

No, it was more than 2 years between the accident and wedding party. Everything from the wedding party to the crash has not been revealed as far as time is concerned.ETA-It looks like they went out of their way to make Jack look a lot younger.

Went back and read it.....it's close to what we are theorizing, but missing a big piece.
I'm a couple pages behind, so forgive me if this has been addressed.First, I don't see these as spoilers...these are theories, so I'm not going to white out my response. A spoiler is a piece of info that has a reasonable chance of being true, not just something we think may happen. If people don't want to hear theories, why are they reading this?
Fully explainable if there is more than one Desmond.....might even mean there are lots and lots of Desmonds. Doesn't matter when it occured if he can be in more than one place at the same time.
I posted it as a spoiler because it's a huge leap to get to this theory without the "extra" material. But the cat is out of the bag now, so.....
One very minor thing I noticed that I'll add. At the end of the episode, Jack looks over at Desmond and says "you" or whatever he says. The writers, I think, were careful in that Desmond never says anything back or shows any sign that he recognizes Jack. Now I think the writers would do this even if it is the same "Desmond" to leave a cliffhanger for message board speculation, but the door was at least left open for it to be a different person/clone/twin/whatever.
Cloning was a theory mentioned in the first thread...it's been floating around out there, but no real reason to delve further into it.
This cloning theory is a serious reach and I'm not buying it. If you look at Desmond in the Stadium and Desmond in the Hatch he has a scar on right side of his bottom lip. This is the same person and not a clone. Locke keeps the fact that he was disabled a secret, why would a clone do this? Why would Kates clone keep running from the police or Hurleys clone freak out about the numbers? Like I said, I'm not buying the "cloning theory".
No, I don't think Desmond is a clone. Was just pointing out that end scene because I noticed it.Here's my guess: same Desmond, he's been there longer, can get in/out of the thing, and his meeting with Jack in the stadium was not random. Why Jack, I dunno yet.
I can't explain the scar, I didn't freeze frame the episode to check for differences.They don't know they are clones, they have implanted memories. Locke doesn't know why he can walk so he attributes it to a miracle.....he doesn't tell anyone because they'll think he's crazy. The memories aren't implanted perfectly hence Hurley's number thing, and the visions of people, and the flashbacks.
