The following is a synopsis of tonight’s episode “What Kate Did”. This is not speculation I what I think will happen. I’ve seen the show and this is what will take place tonight. If you don’t want it spoiled for you read no further. I’m not going to write out all the details just give the main highlights. My chronology might be off since the flashbacks screw me up sometimes.

We start off on the beach Jin and Sun come out of their tent (guess what they were doing) Hurley Da Man gives Jin the thumbs up. They look over and see Sayid digging a grave for Shannon.

Jack is taking care of Sawyer in the hatch when he hears Sawyer start to mumble.

He’s still unconscious with the fever. “Where is she? I Love Her”. Jack doesn’t seem thrilled.

We go to Kate who’s up in a tree getting gathering fruit for Sawyer.

Kate hasn’t been sleeping well and is exhausted from taking care of him.

She almost falls from the tree and drops some fruit. When she picks the fruit up she looks up and sees a beautiful black horse.

Flashback to Kate sitting on the steps of her folks home. Her drunk step dad pulls up and asks what’s she doing there she helps him in and puts him to bed. He makes a comment like “aren’t you gonna take my pants off?” Tells her she’s beautiful gets pissed when she doesn’t say thanks for the compliment.

She goes outside on her motorcycle to leave takes a look at the house and as she pulls away the house explodes. She keeps going. Next scene she’s goes into a diner and her mom is the waitress. Her mom is wearing a wrist brace, Kate asks how it happened mom tries to make something up but Kate knows the truth. She tells her mom it’s over and gives her an insurance policy she took out in her moms name for the house. Mom starts getting worried. “Kate what did you do?” Kate leaves.

Back on Island in hatch, Jack tells Kate who is now going to resume caring for sawyer that “we’ll all be on the beach don’t forget the button.”

Eko and Anna on beach. Eko tells Anna “I’m going to the funeral.” Anna says “ I don’t think I’m gonna make it” Eko tells her “I think everyone here understands it was an accident.”

Sayid speaks at the funeral “I loved her” gets mushy. ( I couldn’t get emotional since to me she was killed weeks ago)

Kate’s talking to sawyer who starts to mumble again she gets closer to him his eyes open and he says “why did you kill me” as he starts to choke her.

Jack and Locke get to the hatch and the timer is buzzing they yell for Kate who is gone Locke runs to the keyboard 23… 22… seconds left. He starts typing the numbers and fumbles 4 8 15 16 22 then backspaces 23 finishes typing execute with one second left. Whew that was close.

Jacks finds sawyer on the floor and gets mad and starts to look for Kate.

((I’m gonna cut more stuff out here I’m pressed for time. I’ll Start Outlining. ))

Kate thinks she’s going crazy flashbacks to her getting caught trying to leave to talahasse. Mom turned her in.

In car with Marshall going to arraignment almost hit what looks like a Deer. Crashed into tree. Kate got control of car and backs away from tree and just before she goes forward she sees the same Black horse as earlier not a deer.

Island: runs into Charlie and asks if he thinks there could be horses here. He doubts it. Just polar bears and monsters.

Hatch: Mike is looking around and notices BLAST Doors that come down from the ceiling he asked locke what there for locke never noticed. Mike asked locke if desmond didn’t mention anything. Asked about the numbers and why he just can’t type them in any time. Locke started typing and nothing would come up numbers can only come up after the 4 minute timer comes on. He said desmond left a video. Mike wants to watch Eko chimes in and says he wants to watch too. They watch video and mike says you typed these numbers in because of this video. He kinda was like jack when he first saw it.

Locke asks Eko what he thought and he didn’t say a word. He got up and walked out of the room. Mike want’s to examine the computer more and starts to look at everthing. Wires and stuff

Kate visits military dad who knows what she did. Turns out Wayne was her real father which is why kate killed him cause she hated who he was. No molestation here.

Jack finds Kate and they KISS

Eko talks to Locke finally and tells him a story about Josiah and basically the bible.

The bible eko found in the other hatch had the missing spliced piece of the film.

It says don’t use the comp to contact the outside world or talk to anyone.

Mike is in the comp room and hears a beep he looks up and theres 58 minutes then he hears it again.

The Comp Says reads

Hello?

Mike types Hello?

Who are you?

My name is Michel. Who are you?

Dad?

It ends here

Kate is sitting by shannons grave and talks to sayid.

She says I think I’m going crazy

“Do you believe in ghosts sayid?”

Sayid responds

“right before shannon was killed I saw Walt, does that meam I’m crazy?”

Kate thinks Wayne is talking through sawyer and she sees wayne when she looks at him and hates herself for it. She says it out loud to sawyer. He wakes up. He’s convinced they’ve been saved when she walks him around the hatch he thinks she is messing with him until they go outside. When he realized they are still on the island he’s not to happy.

They sit and see the horse.

I downloaded season 1 and finished watching it last night. The most disturbing scene of the whole thing was when Kate saw her mom in the hospital and her mom started yelling "Help." Made me think Kate did something to her and not the fact she had killed somebody... thus her running was mom related... not boyfriend related as what happened soon after. The spoilers are not really spoilers though because there were few solutions I guess.Kate better not end up with Sawyer either. Anna would be a better match for Sawyer. I think Kate should end up with Hurley... or one of the Others that has not been on the show yet... me.

I can be without knowing what happened to her for a few weeks. What I dont get yet, and I know they will address this or they should, is the fact that they meet Desmond. Talk with Desmond. Then let Desmond run like the wind out of there without knowing where he goes or keeping him there to ask more questions. Or, having Danielle just leave without really knowing what the hell has been happening to her. Now, looking at Desmond and Danielle they were pretty much not in the fact finding mission because they had other things going on but one would think that in that time they had some news as to what was going on. Hell, Desmond simply left and seemed to know where to go. Danielle left and went somewhere else. The flight attendant is small apples compared to those two.

They were searching for her when AL shot Shannon, then it's suddenly no issue?

I can be without knowing what happened to her for a few weeks. What I dont get yet, and I know they will address this or they should, is the fact that they meet Desmond. Talk with Desmond. Then let Desmond run like the wind out of there without knowing where he goes or keeping him there to ask more questions. Or, having Danielle just leave without really knowing what the hell has been happening to her. Now, looking at Desmond and Danielle they were pretty much not in the fact finding mission because they had other things going on but one would think that in that time they had some news as to what was going on. Hell, Desmond simply left and seemed to know where to go. Danielle left and went somewhere else. The flight attendant is small apples compared to those two.

IMO Jack tried to stop Desmond, but got blindsided by the converstaion about his wife. Desmond just seemed to be running, I am not sure if he actually knew where to go.As for Danielle, she was able to knock out Sayid and steal Claire's baby. I am sure they are just trying to keep away from her.

According to Locke... he was the one that hit Sayid in the back of his head. How Danielle ended up with him in her bunker who knows... but Locke told Sayid it was him.Walt was in the season ender last year... at least as a person and not a ghost... that was his last appearance.

A polar bear was in the 2nd to last or 3rd to last episode last year when Danielle was helping them find the Black Rock for the dynamite.

The Monster would be the season ender when they threw dynamite in the hole and supposedly blew it up.

Didn't Desmond say something along the lines of "I'm leaving and you can shoot me if you like." Before he turned and disappeared into the jungle?I suppose Jack could have shot him in the leg but it doesn't seem to jive with his character.

The only person capable of tracking him down is Locke and he seems so happy to be pushing the button every 108 minutes that he can't be bothered to deal with reality.

The inteaction of Locke and Eko should be interesting tonight.

Those are two different episode. Locke hit Sayid while he was one th mountain trying to triangulate the radio signal near the begining of season 1.The episode where Danielle captured Sayid was after he took off because he tortured Sawyer.

Thanks for the updates, but my point was that there are even more storylines that remain unresolved.And the absence of some of the more menacing storylines [Monster and polar bears] coincide with Walt's absence.

Okay, how about this. We know they have all been there for 45 days or so. One show probably goes through what... 2 days, 3 days tops? So, if the show followed that form of timeline we would be right where we are about. Because of other episodes like the Tailies story. There were two episodes of Polar Bear last year and maybe three episodes of the monster. I am not looking into those story lines until they go into the forrest again. They have not gone into the forrest for exploration purposes in some time... hence why no monsters or Polar Bears. Now, if they have the gumption to go searching for Walt anytime soon, I would expect them to encounter those same enemies. Right now, in show terms, they survivors need to regroup and establish concrete trust in each other and get their stories straight before they go hunting for anything.

I would suspect that once a few more people die or have a need for an adventure I dont think we see Walt, bears, or monsters anytime soon.

Yeah this is the first time I've been bored by an episode of "Lost." Pretty impressive when you think about it, but this episode didn't do much for me at all. Until the end. One thing about this show -- they have terrific cliffhangers.
