**** OFFICIAL **** LOST - The TV Series (2 Viewers)

Since Locke now believes that entering the numbers is pointless, he will not be eager to see if Henry actually did anything. It will be Eko who pours through the log and finds some discrepencies in it. I seem to remember that the log showed the time stamp and what was pressed (the numbers) so it was recording anything that was typed, the Michael/Walt conversation should be in there.

A guess is that maybe it was not Walt he was talking to, and instead an Other in the Pearl watching him on TV, the other would have been able to clear the screen when Jack walked around behind Michael.
I took this from Sledgeweb's Lost Stuff who had transcribed some of the log

If you convert those numbers into days and years instead of minutes. You get 1899 years and 230 days

However if you use the numbers as decimals representing time...

You get about 4 years and 270 days.

I don't know what the significance is, just tryin to play with the numbers and see what I come up with.
I tried treating the numbers as a UNIX timestamp and converted them to a date but came up with sometime in 1965. Probably completely off course.
 Educate me on UNIX timestamps.

If the numbers appear to be off by 108 minutes wouldn't that mean the last iteration was 41602068 hrs and 29 mins from the inception? That would be something like 4749 years after T(0) assuming it started at 0:00.
Time travel......yeah, that's the ticket.

If they were left there, who keeps bringing them grub?
I would say that the Hanso Foundation is still dropping supplies for them.Think of it this way, I worked for a large, large company once and they have a few manufacturing plants that are "closed", but still have guards and they will never ever sell them. The reason is because if they did, it would cost them way more now to clean up the stuff they shouldn't have done, or did legally at the time, than it does to just maintain an abandoned building.

Even if Hanso left the island, they may still drop supplies there to keep the folks still there alive so that they a) won't leave, b) won't die or c) both. Based on those made up GHO letters, I think the off-island Hanso folks that know about the island want to just sweep the island under the rug.

Anyway, just a crackpot theory (or maybe you were talking about the log numbers, which I am ignoring for now) for now, so we will see.

I read it as hours : minutes

1733419 days, 12 hours, 29 minutes

Roughly 4750 years.

That CAN'T be right.
What can't it be right?Remember, Ethan in the medical hatch, when asked what was going on, replied "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

I have backed off of my plane crash after 2004 theory. I don't think I can start up the plane crashed in 4749 theory.Lets think about this though.

They've used hiroglyphics a few times, and the old chinese I-ching.

Maybe they're using a different calendar here?

I missed last week's episode.

Does anyone know of a link that writes up an episode recap?
Better yet, you can watch it here.ABC is streaming all their top shows the day after they air. I missed the first 15 minutes of last week's show and watch it the next morning.

more season finale spoilers and more info on season 3

05/16 - In a clearing of crunchy grass, the nefarious Mr. Friendly (M.C. Gainey) twirls a bolo and barks at his fellow Others: "Don't shoot! We need him." At the beach, long-lost button pusher Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) chugs from a bottle of booze and spills a secret. (Hint: It's sick.) Down in the hatch, Eko mops up Libby's blood and speaks of damnation. And as they load their weapons, Jack and Sawyer bond over the memory of Ana Lucia. "At least I get to kill somebody now," says Sawyer, cocking his shotgun with an emphatic crack. [...] This time, we'll see Walt again, learn what caused Oceanic flight 815 to crash, find out what that mysterious button actually does (if anything), and more

season 3..

05/16 - [in Season 3,] there will be new locations and new characters (one rumor has Desmond joining the cast full-time, but producers won't comment). The season's big theme sounds timely, twisty, and terrifying. Hints Lindelof: "'Us versus Them.' But who's the 'us,' and who's the 'them'?"

I stopped checking into the Fuselage because the :dork: factor had become too much. I'd check-in here from time to time, but that time has most likely passed as well.

IT'S NOT A ####### RIDDLE; IT'S A ### #### TV SHOW!!!!

This coming from the person who spent hours on appliance websites trying to prove the hatch's washer/dryer set were "newer"? :lmao:

A few questions spurred by last week's episode.

1. Why are the TV's in the Pearl old (60's?) but the washer/dryer in the Swan are brand new.

2. Why are the TV's so old if they have a VCR?

3. Why was the doctor young in the Pearl video but old in the Swan video? It is the same guy right? Was the Swan video remade after the "incident"?

4. Why was the camera angle in the Swan so crappy? You could only see the subject when they were in the kitchen.

5. Why do the Losties go through these personality flips every few episodes? Jack/Sawyer; Eko/Locke

6. If that is the central hatch why is it 5 of 6? Shouldn't it be either 1 or 6?

Another misc thought, there must be another, more practical, entrance to the Pearl. Just like the Swan.

270 days. Is that the food drop time? Every 270 days?

4. Why was the camera angle in the Swan so crappy? You could only see the subject when they were in the kitchen.
Couple things I noticed about the TV's...1. When they were watching the orientation video, it was on the center screen. The Swan TV was on the upper right, but there was also one more TV on the left that wasn't static/snow, but a solid glow and the rest of them were off. :tinfoilhat: or :nerd: ?2. Again during the video, Locke looked back at the Swan TV and it was showing a different camera angle. Multiple cameras that cycle?

Tonight's episode runs for 64 minutes, set your VCR's accordingly...

Three Minutes

Michael convinces Jack and several other castaways to help him rescue Walt; Charlie struggles with Eko's decision to stop building the church.

1.  Why are the TV's in the Pearl old (60's?) but the washer/dryer in the Swan are brand new.
:lmao: IT WAS A PROP MISTAKE.
I can't believe you're dumb enough to continue arguing this, but then I think back on the period of time that I've known you, and it becomes clearer.

Lets speculate on the title of tonight's episode, "3 minutes".

Personally, I am near certain this refers to something very critical that happens in a 3 minute timeframe.

I've got two guesses so far.

One- Michael is allowed to see Walt for 3 minutes

Two- Some brain washing machine / exposure to sickness thing that runs its course in 3 minutes.

I'm expecting it to explain why Mike switched teams.

:goodposting: Who cares? There's a few folks that are trying to figure out some numbers. It is a riddle to a certain degree, so if they want to take satisfaction in trying to figure out what they mean before we find out on the show, I am cool with that. I don't care to find out, but from a post above, it sounds like the logs will be explored otherwise what's the point in having Eko say "I am going to take these because there is probably something important in them." If you have been watching Lost, you know that is a teaser that they will be important.

By the way, the washer/dryer thing is still amusing to me because they actually incorporated it into the show when Libby said something to Hurley wondering how they got a new washer and dryer in there. There is no doubt in my mind that the writers check out Lost boards and change dialogue to put in jokes, like Hurley with the oldies song on the radio and his joking comment to Sayid about it coming from a different time.

This is not an ordinary TV show by any means. I don't think you could point to another TV show that has an audience response like this. I liken it more to something like the Lord of the Rings books that spawned a whole role playing game market.

OK, I do get annoyed when purgatory keeps coming up though. ;)

Some spoilers about the finale from SpoilerFix.com

# new 05/17 - The cast is rehearsing a funeral on the beach. There are five graves. The two most recent are open, and contain corpses of Ana Lucia and Libby, wrapped in gray flannel. "We are going to tell you why the plane crashed," says Cuse. "We're going to explain what happens if you don't push the button. And we're going to resolve the Michael-and-Walt story." (Michael's son, Walt, was kidnapped by "the others" in last year's season finale and has been missing ever since.) Desmond, the enigmatic guy originally discovered in the hatch, also reappears, and he's not in good shape, though he gives the survivors fresh hope for escape. Just as last year's finale expanded our scope of the island's boundaries, this year's will expand its relevance. "There is something else that is reverberating on our planet that is directly linked to this island," says Monaghan. "You begin to understand that what is happening there has a significant butterfly effect in the rest of the world." One more thing: we think another character is going to die, or come close. It's just a hypothesis, based on the fact that when we asked Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia) to guess which character would die after Libby, she said: "I can't do that, 'cause I know." Then she clammed up. Source: Newsweek

Spoilers for tonight's episode.

I cannot vouch for their accuracy, this is a new source to me.

These spoilers come from Bobby Hollywood on myspace and he's been right on the last couple of times.

EPISODE 222 "THREE MINUTES"

"They're not who they say they are...."

Michael is given a list...Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hugo..has to bring them to the others. We find out what was going on with Michael and his capture by the others. Libby and AL are buried and while they're saying their last respects, Sun notices a sailboat offshore.....Charlie finds the Madonnas in Sawyer's tent thanks to Vincent, and throws them into the ocean. The night of the meeting between Jack, Locke, Sawyer and Zeke..Michael was there w/Alex who asked about Claire and the baby...wanting to know if she was okay after she freed them from the MedHatch. Sayid tells Jack that Michael has been compromised and that he shouldn't be trusted, so they're making alternate plans without Michael's knowledge. We see that the others are living in huts by the ocean North of the camp and there is another Hatch built into the volcanic rock. The symbol on the door looks like a rectangle of some sort.

FWIW - The spoiler above tells us what questions we get answers to tonight but does not reveal the answers. Also states something Anna Lucia was quoted as saying but again does not reveal what she alludes to.

Yeah, it seems like if it was still smoking, Locke and Eko would have said something about it.

Maybe not still smoking, but when I saw it I thought it looked "recently smoked" and figured that's what they were trying to show us with the shot of it.

Not trying to argue but what does a recently smoked cigarette look like vs. a not recently smoked cigarette?

That's kinda the problem with a show like this. Its impossible for them to think of every plothole with a story this complex, so eventually they are going to be overwhelmed with plotholes. You can't figure anything out. So, just watch the show and listen to the podcast. And it was a circle. OOO
