3 outs away.

Sox haven't celebrated at home once this year.

Division clinching win was in NY and both playoff series clinched on the road.

For the sake of good theater hoping Sale takes the hill in 9th to close it out.

Cora....  what a manager.  Guy was masterful.
Seems he's responsible for pioneering the "rover" relief pitching position.

All year he could not find a set up guy worthy of 8th inning duty ... so come postseason, he used starters in the 8th.

I imagine it will become more mainstream going forward.

So proud of our boys and they gave my 95yo mother - who saw her first Red Sox game before the beginning of Ted Williams' career - such a chaaaage one moah time (altho she said "Ow" when i :hifive:  her)! Not only did these guys win more games than any Sox team has and made short work of the other two 2018 100-win teams but, tonight, they proved they could beat the Dodgers WITHOUT help from Ryan Madson!!!! My Sawx aaaah wikkid pissah!

Sox had chances to win game 3 ... could have been a sweep.

but to be fair ... LA should have won game 4. Hill was coasting up 4-0 there.

I'm sure most of you saw it pre-game tonight, but Roberts admitted that he went to the mound to speak to Rich Hill and said he didn't intend on removing him.

Hill assumed Roberts came out to give him the hook, handed him the ball and walked to the dugout.

Just have to think LA would have won that if Hill stays in the game there.

What exactly is the player doing on that MVP trophy?

Sometimes I wonder if these "artists" even watch baseball / sports.

One of the best teams ever. Regular season, post-season, every season.
Not one of the best teams ever. Their Pythagorean was 103 and they had 31 wins vs the Orioles and Blue Jays.

Probably the best Red Sox team to win a World Series this century, and certainly an impressive playoff run, but they probably weren’t even better than last year’s Astros.

Thankfully they prevented Dave Roberts from winning a ring, that would have been a tragedy. ?

Congrats

Actually, the real Oof part is Roberts even mentioning this to the press.

One, you don't throw your player under the bus like that

Two, you just admitted that you didn't have control of the situation

Three, Hill thinking he was get was getting the hook is entirely on Roberts because of all the other moronic times he's done it to him over the last 2 years.
