***Official NFC Divisional Playoff Packers vs Cowboys (3 Viewers)

I thought Perreira said the rule is he must complete the catch and make a football move. Looked pretty clear to me that he caught the ball and then made a football move stretching the ball towards the goal line.
That's the only case for this being a bad call but i thought it was more of him just stretching while falling forward. He was falling forward there in any circumstance...it wasn't him leaping for the end zone
I don't think him stretching forward was part of the catch. I think the catch was completed and he he was making a football move to the end zone. WAY too close to overturn something like that, particularly on a rule that sucks to begin with. Jerry is gonna be apoplectic.
Even though just about EVERYONE who does this doesn't agree with you one bit. Literally no one looking at the play says that was a catch, by rule.

Still :lmao: This is some serious LHUCKSian behavior.

You've done a fine job of embarrassing yourself in here today.
Ill take that as a compliment coming from you. Sorry that im not a blind homer and think it was a great play by Dez.

Happy to have a win but the Packers were aided by a dumb rule

Im not embarrassed at all...despite what a person like you will say here.

Wasn't a catch. Not even close. Calvin took three steps, rolled over on the ground in the end zone and in the process of getting up, used the football to push off the ground and lost the ball. Calvin's was way more of a catch than that one according to the adapted logic.

Cowboys fans last week: don't blame the refs. It was only one play. One play doesn't win you the game!

Cowboys fans this week: with that one call we definitely would have won!

And so it goes...

That said: They have been calling that "football move" play all year. I totally hate it. I really, really hate it. But, the call was very consistent with what they've called all year.

I don't give a crap who wins this game, but people who think that call was bad are fooling themselves. It's a textbook call by the rules.

If you don't like the rule, fine, but that's the rule at the moment.
I understand where you're coming from but isn't a "football move" subjective?

Who are you talking about exactly? Perreira was the only one I heard say anything.

I hope this stupid rule is all anyone talks about for a week and makes the league take a look at this. It needed to happen in a big situation like this.

Cowboys fan here. I didn't like the Dez call but we left 10 points on the field in the first half. We deserved what we got.

And then an obvious offensive pass interference on Cobb that doesn't get called. Perhaps the officials should just go ahead and put on Packer jerseys.
You must be a cowboys fan because those are some terrible blinders you have on
Cobb pushed off to get open.
tip ball. no such thing after a tipped ball
Let the Cowboy whiner have his moment
I hate the Cowboys, I just hate the Packers more.

the difference, I think, is that Calvin wasn't making a football move. Dez, in my opinion, was making a football move by lunging toward the end zone. A football move is what distinguishes that a catch is over.
