Jets take Sione Pouha, DT, Utah....time to do some research.
Sounds like Pouha has off the charts measurables (6-3, 325 -- 32 reps of 225) but he doesn't play to that strength. He also gets tired easily, and isn't effective for very long. But, considering the Jets have DeWayne Robertson and Josh Evans, it sounds like Pouha would work well in that rotation and will be an effective run stopper. Him and Evans will likely be just as good as Ferguson last year, so I suppose the Jets fill another need. If they could ever get him to live up to his potential, all the better. :banned:

Well, looks like my Bengals will have some cap room soon. Drafted Chris Henry - methinks Warrick's status just got a little shakier. Thurman in round 2 probably has implications with whether the Bengals keep Nate Webster as well. Was disappointed to see Incognito go two spots earlier - that's definitely a need as well. Guess we're going CB hunting later or on June 1.-QGEdited to add: Henry has a 9?! on his wonderlic. How the heck do you get only a 9?

By being 50% smarter than Frank Gore.

Though with that score probably thinks he got a 9 :loco: So what's the lowest score out there? Anyone know?Looks like my Illini classmate Hardy might be in the cap casualty zone as well. (Classmate in the sense that I had like 24,000 classmates at Illinois ;) )-QG

49ers get: Philadephia's third-round pick (No. 94 overall) and selected T Adam Snyder.Eagles get: San Francisco's fourth-round pick (No. 102) and sixth-round pick (No. 175).So now the Eagles have 14 picks.

Denver Broncos: 3 picks, 3 cornerbacks.

We'll just call it the Randy Moss effect!
Didn't work out so well for the Packers when they tried that. I guess the Broncos don't have too many needs though.

Chiefs just passed on WR again, taking punter Colquitt. They also passed on Kevin Johnson earlier this month after having him in for a visit, and Johnson subsequently signed with Detroit. With Kennison and Morton both past 30 and Boerigter only signing a 1-year contract, I'm surprised. This all may mean very good things ahead for 2nd year man Samie Parker.

Does anyone else see the humor is Cincy drafting a hot-headed WR when they are already full with that position (CJ, Kelly Washington, Warrick, etc.)? I guess they figured he would get good tutelage in how to play maturely in the NFL. :lmao:

Clarett? You gotta be kidding me! #rd round, Denver? I am absolutely shocked. I know Denver knows how to pick RB's but with all the issues he's had I can't believe he was the guy they wanted. Especially when he could be had in the 4th or 5th. I think they really reached on himThe other problem I see is Clarett's willingness to quit. First time he's told he's running the wrong way or through the wrong hole or that he'll have to sit while Bell's the man, he's likely to quit and pack it in.I hope he makes good on this gift because he has no idea just how fortunate he is to be drafted by Denver in the 3rd round. I hope he does right by Denver.BTW-say goodbye to Dayne!

If Clarett gets his head straight look out, he has all the talent in the world. Say what you want about his speed, I've never seen him caught from behind, since his days in H.S. and now he has something to prove. Personally I hope he's a bust, the guy is mental.

Huh? None of those guys are hot-headed. CJ has had one blow on hte sidelines in his entire career. Is he is a bigmouth, yes but hot-head, no. Neither of the other 2 have had blowups to my knowledge.I am not crazy about this Henry pick but if Marvin can get his head on straight, we just drafted ourselves another potential CJ. Alot of the same things were said about CJ coming out of OSU.

Yeah, CJ doesn't have a 'tude problem. :lmao: And Kelly Washington, who annointed himself The Legend, because he was going to change the WR position in the NFL. :lmao:

2 rds earlier than I thought but I figured some one take a chance on him. with his vision and cutback, he might fit in well at Denver.
:X I have been a bronco fan long enough to know that Mike Shanahan is a ineffective evaluator of talent and yet again he never fails me. We had an opportunity to pick up the WR from Hampton and Adrian McPherson from Florida state and he screwed that up!!!!!!!!!!!! I officially HATE shanahan!!!!!!!!!!!!! And after 25 years as a fan Ive earned that right.

I think Henry's going to be a great compliment to Chad actually. The more I think about it, the more I figure they'll have about 5 mil in cap room when this is through. Any good CBs out there at that rate?Chad's loud but he's a good guy - of course I'm biased b/c he came over and high-fived the fans (including me) at the end of one of the games when he could have just as easily ignored us and trotted to the locker room.-QG

What is it about Chad that makes you think he has an attitude problem. Dude works his tail off trying to become the best WR in the league, sleeping at the stadium 2-3 nights a week during the season, has one outburst during a game because he wanted to get the ball more (how can you fault a guy for wanting to make plays) then cools down and hasn't done anything like that since. If it becomes a problem, then you worry. As it stands, you'd be hard-pressed to find a guy with a better work ethic than Chad. How does KWash annointing himself "The Legend" make him a hothead? Maybe cocky, but you'll find a lot worse in today's league.

Seattle's draft has been horendous.
For the 500th time... Spencer was a first round pick. NE was going to take him(The three time Super Bowl Champs in the last four years) LT plays and brings a new attitude to a team that Okefer left due to "Lack of Heart." David Greene has more wins in College than Peyton Manning, and the best road record in the NCAA. Leroy Hill is a straight up bad ###.

Exactly. Terrell Owens, Ryan Leaf... THOSE guys had an "attitude problem". Sure he likes to run some smak once in a while, but Chad Johnson is clearly a flat out serious football player, and I'd wager that both the Bengals organization and his teammates love the guy.

FWIW, Kelly Washington called himself "the FUTURE", and gave himself that title while in college, as he represented the future of WRs, College, NFL or otherwise.:govols:

Fason continues his freefall... maybe Seattle as Alexander Insurance?
Nope... I don't see Chicago or TB taking him, that leaves Tennessee (to backup Brown), Dallas (to backup Jones) as possibilities or more likely the Giants at 4.09.

Nope, Dallas gets Barber NYG takes RB Brandon Jacobs. Can't say I'm familiar with this guy.

Code:
Vital StatisticsPosition: RB	School: Southern IllinoisHeight: 6-4	Weight: 260 lbs.As a third-stringer at Auburn, Jacobs couldn't buy the playing time he deserved, as he backed up one of the best backfield tandems in the nation. Not wanting to switch positions, the 6'4, 260 lb tailback opted to transfer to Southern Illinois, where he could easily climb the Saluki depth chart. Although he was not the starter in 2004, Jacobs still led the Salukis in rushing yards with 992, while splitting carries with Arkee Whitlock. He averaged 6.6 yards per carry and scored a team-high 19 touchdowns. Jacobs is a strong, hard runner with the ability to pound the ball inside. He will probably be considered more of a fullback in the NFL, as he does not possess the elusive juke moves needed for NFL tailbacks. He has the potential to become a good blocker but isn't quite there yet. Jacobs has been a productive player against lesser competition and still has some upside as a pro. His ability to return kicks will also add to his value as an NFL draft pick.
