And u are a completely unbiased viewer...These guys are supposed to be athletic, but making mental errors that cost them plays, drives, and games...they are supposed to be looking like a bunch of Citadel players out there just gettin outphysicalled. That was not the excuse coming into the season, but it sure as hell needed to be. These guys blow.....hard.And I say all of this as the most hardcore Michigan fan that I know. I haven't missed a game in about a decade. I love every single thing about them. But this isn't Michigan football, and it is embarrassing.

Well good season tOSU, on a plus note for us, RR gets some extra weeks of recruiting. Nest year I don't have to watch M. Trent. I aslo here thet Forcier will be in school come January, and hopefully our OLINE can gel.

Michigan didn't perform Script Ohio. They just formed it by having every band member go to a spot on the field and stand there. If you've actually seen the Ohio State band perform Script Ohio you'd understand the difference.whoknew said:

Rivalry games are always better when one team does not dominate.
When Michigan won 10-11 before Tressel I did not like that either. At one point I was almost hoping for OSU to win so it would fire us up for the next year. Todays game had zero luster.
And there could be a couple more of games like today before Michigan gets better. They will be way too young next year.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Somewhere amid the mess, Rich Rodriguez found a glimmer of hope.
The first-year coach had just completed a three-win season that fell far below expectations and invited a mountain of skepticism with a newfangled offense that often seemed out of sync.
Given time and patience, he said, his plan would work.
It did not take long. One year after that low point at West Virginia, Rodriguez enjoyed six straight seasons that resulted in bowl appearances, a string of seasons in which he never won less than eight games.
Now he's asking Michigan fans to believe he can do it again.
Somewhere amid the mess in Columbus on Saturday, where another Rodriguez-coached team with three wins mercifully ended a dreadful season, he again insisted that given time and patience, his plan will work.
It had better start working soon.
There are two things to take from Rodriguez's first season at Michigan. One, he gets a free pass despite the problems - he arrived just in time to find the talent level at tradition-rich Michigan had considerably diminished.
Two, the honeymoon is finished, and it's been shortened by his own hand.
On and off the field, on issues large and small, it would have been hard to script a worse for year for him than the one that unfolded.
On his watch, the Wolverines careened to the worst season in their 129-year history, ended 33 consecutive years of bowl appearances, and lost to a Mid-American Conference team for the first time in 24 games.
And Saturday, the Wolverines lost their fifth consecutive game to Ohio State, the worst all-time slide against their rival.
Rodriguez didn't particularly like a question about that last lowlight Saturday, snapping, "I've been here for one of them. So that's the only one I can really comment on. They've got one in a row on us, from what I've seen."
But it's the sort of answer that, for better or worse, again shows Rodriguez consciously separating himself from Michigan's past.
He tried to give away the No. 1 jersey to a freshman, and did away with captains for the entire season. Those are things of minor importance. But when the team is losing to the likes of Toledo and suffering through the roughest season on record, it is foolish to exacerbate the angst by tweaking the small traditions some people have come to enjoy.
Some of the more serious problems, the ones that set a tone for the season, are also of Rodriguez's own making.
Once his shotgun marriage to Michigan was complete, he forged ahead with an ill-advised lawsuit against West Virginia to try and wiggle out of his $4 million buyout at the school, a legal misstep that was a spectacular failure and major distraction.
Even when he did things that were well-intentioned, they blew up in his face. Last week, Rodriguez said that fans who made mean-spirited, personal attacks on message boards needed to "get a life."
He's right, of course. But he also had to know that passionate fans of all kinds would bristle at the comments.
He had another comment after Saturday's game that won't get nearly the run that his "get a life" sound-bite did, but one that deepens the disconnect that still resonates between him and Michigan fans still leery of his credentials.
Asked what he learned through the tribulations of this season, he said:
"That probably being quieter is better. Coach Tressel and I talked about that before the game. I said, "Coach Tress, the quieter I am, the less drama I have to deal with."
Rodriguez made a similar comment a few weeks ago, expressing disbelief that every word out of his mouth would be heavily scrutinized by fans and media members.
Well, yeah.
This isn't Morgantown.
Did he not get that straight from his first day on the job? Does he get it now? While his forthrightness and sincerity have been a much-appreciated change from the previous U-M regime, he's got to realize that, yes, what he says matters. Quite a bit.
All of the time.
That comment also was a bad answer to a good question, one in which he could have alternatively offered any number of insights on a season gone awry or one in which he could have detailed a few improvements he plans for next year.
The only real glimpse he gave Saturday for next year amounted to him saying don't worry, don't panic. This is only the first year. He's been in this situation before and he'll pull through it again.
That's the basis of the faith in Rodriguez. Track record is a powerful currency.
It's reassuring in some ways to see that he has maintained that perspective, that a brutal season did not crack his confidence.
But he should acknowledge - at least to himself - that the problems this season were much more than just ones found in a typical rebuilding year, that he's responsible for creating many himself, and that his track record is the one glimmer of hope even his strongest supporters can find this morning.

I was at the Purdue game and I heard a LOT of people talking about this. A couple of guys just said they were giving them away.

If OSU only scores 24 then they're not trying. I expect this to be int he 35 - 17 range.Looking forward to the game, but not a lot of drama. Given our at times anemic offense but Michigan's porous defense, I expect it to be around 24-10.
