***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (3 Viewers)

Don't remember if this was posted and I'm lazy to look.

Didn't they have alot of songs recorded from the last album that didn't make it (like 20 or so)? I thought I remember reading one of them say that. Regardless, I'd rather get new stuff with O'Brien.

Also, they'll be part of Rock Honors in July honoring The Who.

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...h-studio-album/

Pearl Jam have begun work on early demos for their ninth studio album — which will be their first with producer Brendan O’Brien since 1998’s Yield, according to guitarist Mike McCready. “It’s really in its infant stages right now,” McCready tells Rolling Stone. “We have about five ideas that have been worked on.” The band, whose last album was 2006’s well-received Pearl Jam, isn’t sure yet about the direction of the new release. “Brendan is another set of ears that we respect, and he’s going to give us a different way to go but I don’t know what that is yet,” McCready says. The band has already had one session with O’Brien, and will probably resume work on the album in July after finishing their June U.S. tour.

Meanwhile, McCready is continuing his charity work for his cause of choice: raising awareness about Crohn’s disease, the digestive ailment he’s suffered from since he was 21. He’s leading a May 3rd benefit concert at the Seattle club Showbox at the Market, raising money for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. McCready will perform twice, first with Rick and Chris Friel from his pre-Pearl Jam band Shadow, and then with Flight to

Mars, his tribute band to British rockers UFO (the band’s guitarist, Michael Schenker, was a big influence). During the Shadow set, McCready expects his old friend Duff McKagan to jump on stage. “He wants to sing [the Stooges‘] ‘I

Wannna Be Your Dog,’” McCready says. “I’m just stoked he wanted to be part of it.”

Got a nice little PJ cornhole shaping up for Camden:

Myself, Zilla, Red Raiders, Tremendous Updside, SLBD's buddy.......

McCready also said that Pearl Jam plans to continue making live recordings available to fans from its upcoming tour -- which starts June 11 in West Palm Beach, Fla. -- but isn't sure what form that will take yet.
Solid all around article, but the above is the best piece of info, IMO...Really glad official boots will be back in one form or another...

You get spoiled with the sound quality of the official ones, even though several high quality audience recordings did come out from the 07 tour and EV solo tour...

Tiger Fan posted a link to a boot of the Berkely show a couple of pages back, but it's since been taken down...I think I have a link somewhere from a megaupload site I can PM you

I'll dig around for it

If not, at some point this weekend I can do it when I am at my home ocmputer

Listed to the Zilla mix a little bit today when I was cutting the grass. I think "Come Back" and "Inside Job" have moved into my top PJ songs ever

In no order:

Porch, Release, Present Tense, Inside Job, Come Back

Anyone have any specific hotel recommendations in Philly? I know a general area, but would like to be able to walk to bars and the ferry to catch the show?

TIA

I have it on good account that there will be a DVD coming out for that April Fool's Tour. They started editing soon after. THAT, will be awesome.
That''d be sweetLots of rumblings that there will be an East Coast swing
You talking about a DVD for the swing?
No, for those 10/11 solo Vedder just did on the west coast. Basically, a buddy told me they started editing after it was over.TU, an EAST coast tour? Really? Weren't they saying they'd come out west after? Haven't been reading the boards so I don't know.

I can't decide if I should try to make those Boston shows...or even possibly Camden, which would be better for me. If I knew what their plans were, it would be a lot easier.

Been away for awhile...glad to see this thread is still moving forward. Sorry to say that I will not be heading back to my ol' stomping grounds back East to see the boys...hoping they'll hit the WC for some shows this year. If not, I'm guessing we'll see them back out next year--hopefully in support of a new album.

Popped in Immagine in Cornice tonight.....I've seen a lot of concert films, but this one is really, really good (biased, I know, but still). Fot those like myself that can't make it to the shows, we'll have to make do with what we got, and this ain't too shabby.

Top 5 as of today: Porch, Release, Marker, Present Tense, Inside Job

Bumping to merely represent the greatness of Pearl Jam.

I'm 3 sheets to the wind right now, and rocking out to the 4/29/05 Easy Street bootleg. "Bleed for Me" cover= fantastic. Great times.

Extremely pumped for the 2 Camden shows coming up as well as the MSG 2 show that I'm going to. I wish I could hit more on this swing as I have in the past, but unfortunately, real life responsibilities have taken hold.

As a veteran of 26 shows, I've never been more excited for upcoming shows. PJ+Philly= $$$

Camden should be a good little FBG cornhole. PM if you want to meet before for drinks

Might be some stuff here that the collectors out there don't have everything. If not, can't blame a guy for tryin' :fishing:

:goodposting: The East Coast leg I referred to would be EV solo (the EC version of the April Fool's shows)

In for Camden:

Tiger Fan

JZilla

Tremendous Upside

Scorchy

Red Raiders (night 2 only)

SLBD (potentially, needs peer pressure)

Vedder

Looking like JZilla, TU and myself will be straight chillin at the Holiday Inn in the historic district, unless we priceline a better deal. Hotels with refundable rates were very tough to come by.

If anyone has any bar ideas to pregame, feel free to post them. I understand there's a pretty good tailgaiting scene at Camden, but not sure how organized we'll have to be to do that

I'm guessing b/c it's really a Robin Hood Foundation event for their donorsThe woman I spoke to when I bought the ticket today (BTW, LOVE the no ticketbastard surcharges, etc) said they don't really publicly announce their "Robin Hood Rocks" shows all that much b/c they usually sell out within the donor pool, which is it's intentionWith the crazed PJ fanbase, especially in NYC, word got out and they are getting way more 1st time donors for the show than they normally do

I'm out for the Boston/Beacon shows, just can't swing it damnit. The Camden door remains slightly ajar however. There is a flight that gets in Wednesday for about $330 which is pretty good I think (from what I've been seeing). I just wish it got in earlier so I could go to the Boston/Philly game @ 1:00. Then the next game is at night, during the show, so no extra incentive there either. And the difference in coming in Wednesday is offset by needing a hotel that night so no help there really either. :wall:

If I go, I'll probably last-minute it is what it's going to come down to...

That Beacon show, damn, that should be great. Open-bar, tax write-off to boot.

I was eyeballing that game myself. Of course, I'm driving.

Heard rumors of this show, but totally missed the word. Put a call in, but guessing if anything is available, it will be well beyond my price range, even if it is for a good cause.Seeing the Camden cornhole, who here is in for the MSG shows (assuming TU at a minimum)?

Big Blue, actually there are tix for around a 100 bucks...WITH OPEN BAR. If you drink, that is cheaper than a normal GA ticket for sure. Plus, it's tax deductible.

Also, I guess the organization is not set up to take the onslaught of PJ'ers and has, from what I hear, maybe one person taking orders. People leave messages and this chick from the charity gets back to them; pretty funny. So you may very well be able to get in still. Venue looks awesome -- that's gonna be a helluva show. I would get all over that if I were you (in the area)...keep calling.

The cheapest tix are $250...The $100 is the mandatory donation that enables you to purchase tixIf, for example, you had previously donated $100+ to the Robin Hood Foundation you wouldn't have to pay that again It's a great cause, BTW, and 100% of the proceeds go to actually helping those in needPart of the reason I could justify the added expenseThat and it's always been my dream show, PJ at the Beacon (with Open Bar no less!)Get your ### to Camden SLBD!

Left a message, so I guess I will see what they have to say if/when they get back to me. Sure the Pit is in a froth over this one...haven't dipped my toe in that pool in awhile. So, MSG, who's in? Let's start getting the list together.

Got some issues with Camden right now, but working on it. But, figured the same diehards may be headed up NYC way, so cornhole #2 could be a possibility.

I think red, TF and I are just doing Camden. Trying to save some scrilla myself. Would be cool to see you there though. Jump on a train with T-Ups.
