***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (7 Viewers)

Bestbuy has a new promo going on. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...p;type=category

Preorder the new release of "Ten" by Pearl Jam (either the super deluxe package [$125] or the deluxe package [$28]) and get a token with download instructions for three bonus Rock Band tracks for the 360 or PS3.

It looks like the Bonus Tracks will be:

"Brother"

"Alive" from the Drop in the Park Concert

"State of Love and Trust" from the Drop in the Park Concert
Think that's right.
Arg... bb.com but not bb.caAnd Canadians get SCREWED again apparently.

We're taking back Neil Young. (You can keep Rush).
Can we have Anne Murray?

FWIW, I don't think the remix is a big deal. The only new song for me is 2000 mile blues, and I easily could have gotten it online. I ordered it mainly for the packaging and all of the extra stuff. It really is first class. I think the two best pieces of memorabilia that PJ has put out was the place/date book with all of the posters from every show and the composition book included with the super deluxe packaging.

I seriously doubt I'll listen to the remastered that often.

If they ever release their entire catalog for Rock Band, I will be all over that. Playing the songs last night was a freaking blast.

So....how "remastered" does this sound?
Honestly, I can tell minimal differences....if it weren't for the extra stuff, it wouldn't be worth the money to me. But I'm not a sound snob, and I know many people are.For example (Phish example), I wouldn't pay extra $ for FLAC quality live shows when the mp3s are free

It's not a remaster, it's a complete remix by Brendan O'Brien. That said, it's not much different. You can spot some small changes here and there.

Anyone get the audio tape extra in the Super Deluxe Ten Club edition? I'm interested to hear the quality of the original Eddie voice over tapes...

I did. I'm working on getting a working tape player. The one in my stereo system apparently hasn't been used in so long that it doesn't really work at all. So, I have it, but I haven't been able to listen to it yet.

Listening to "Drop in the Park" now... I actually used to have this on some bootleg I got in England back in the day. I don't remember what it was called, it had all this and some other one-offs like the songs Eddie did with the Doors at the HoF.

Sounds great.

the composition book has some really cool stuff in there. If you were a music lover and happened to be in Seattle in the early 90s, that must've been awesome. Just the thought of seeing Soundgarden, AIC and PJ at the same 400 person club

Didn't happen to be The 5 Musketeers, did it?

Still up :banned:So yeah, I've thought about that ####.... what place/scene would you want to be in, as a music lover, if you could pick any time to be in??I'd go somewhere in the 60's, I think. But, in my lifetime, it might just be Seattle back when...

On VH1 Classic at 10 PM EST tonight.

Just heard a rumor about ACL. It would be their first time there (Austin) since '96, I think. Very cool. It's a friend of a friend thing and someone's in the business, but I have zero proof that this is truth at this point.

Here's a quote from the 10 club email I just got:
Now that the TEN reissue has been released, plans for the rest of 2009 are shaping up and it looks to be a very full year. You've already heard some rumors and leaks, we're just working out some of the details. Stay tuned to pearljam.com for the latest OFFICIAL information.
This definitely means that they'll be touring in 09 since we already know that they're recording. The hottest rumor has been ACL. Doubt they'd just play one show though. Either way: DIFHAlso, if they play ACL and no other dates in the south, I will officially go on a shickrant

EV SOLO TOUR CONTINUES!

Ed Vedder is heading out on another solo run which will kick off on June 8 in Albany, NY and end on July 2nd in Honolulu, HI.

The great New Zealand singer-songwriter - Liam Finn - will open these shows.

Ten Club will be hosting a ticket pre-sale for a limited quantity of tickets ... please read on for details.

The combination of small venues, limited ticket quantities, and lots of fans always makes for a challenge in terms of ticket-buying opportunities, but

we've listened to everyone's input and modified our system to better address everyone's needs. Here's how the ticket pre-sale will work for Ed's tour this time around:

- You must be an active, participating member as of April 7th to qualify for the ticket pre-sale.

- The pre-sale will begin immediately and end April 10th at 5pm Pacific Time.

- This pre-sale opportunity is available to active US and Canadian members only. (We apologize to our overseas members.)

- Tickets for the pre-sale can be purchased only at http://www.tenclub.net/max with a Visa or MasterCard.

- Each member is eligible to purchase only ONE PAIR (2 tickets) to ONE confirmed show on the tour. (No single tickets will be sold.)

- Ten Club tickets for the EV solo tour will NOT be seniority based.

- Tickets are being held in unspecified locations throughout the venues.

- Tickets will NOT be mailed out in advance. All tickets will be distributed at will call on the evening of the performance. Valid photo ID is required for pickup.

- Only the Ten Club member who purchased the tickets will be allowed to collect the tickets. No exceptions.

IMPORTANT:

.

⁃ You will make your show selection , but this DOES NOT guarantee you will have tickets to the show. You are establishing the OPPORTUNITY to buy tickets only. Your credit card will be "authorized" but funds will not be captured unless you are selected. (These funds may not be available to you for a period of time determined by your card issuing bank. To avoid having immediate funds held by your bank, we suggest NOT using a debit card for the ticket purchase, or maximizing your credit limit on a credit card.)

⁃ Once the pre-sale has ended, we will randomly select members to buy the tickets and finalize the ticket purchase.

⁃ A confirmation will be sent out once the selection process has ended, prior to the public on-sale, so you will know if you were successful in securing tickets through the Ten Club ... or not.

⁃ If you are unsuccessful in obtaining tickets through the Ten Club pre-sale opportunity, we will send an informative email with public on-sale information.

⁃ Tickets are non-refundable.

⁃ If you are selected to purchase tickets, you are responsible for payment.

⁃ No exchanges or transfers will be allowed, so make absolutely sure you are able to attend the concert selection.

⁃ Reselling of Ten Club tickets will result in revocation of all future Ten Club ticket benefits.

⁃ All dates are subject to change.

⁃ If you require ADA seating, please call 800-724-8038.

UNCONFIRMED ADDITIONAL DATES - ROLLOVER SHOWS

⁃ As you know, sometimes additional shows are added to the tour that are not confirmed at the time of the on-sale. We call these "rollover shows." We cannot legally sell tickets during a pre-sale for unconfirmed shows, but we will offer you the OPPORTUNITY to RESERVE one pair of tickets to one (1) "rollover" concert. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO YOUR FIRST CHOICE CONCERT.

⁃ Your credit card will not be charged until the "rollover" show is confirmed, which would happen AFTER the public on-sale date, if your order is selected.

⁃ A confirmation will be sent out if you are selected to purchase tickets for a "rollover" show.

⁃ You will receive an email if your attempt at reserving tickets for the "rollover" shows proves unsuccessful.

⁃ No exchanges or transfers will be allowed, so make absolutely sure you are able to attend both your 1st choice concert and any of the "rollover" concerts you select for purchase.

In
one of my best friends (huge pj fan) lives in DC. We both have to be in NOLA for a wedding that weekend, so we'd literally be flying up on Sunday (hungover) and I'd be flying back Tuesday if possible

I just realized that you can register for the pre-sale now UNTIL Friday, and then it's via lottery....That makes more sense now.

Sorry Icon

Sokay. I've been in this town long enough and cut enough favors for folks.... this is a time that I cash them in. My friend Melanie who comes to my weekly sunday cookouts is a sales rep for local rock station. She's put in for tickets for me. Another friend Heather who also comes to the cookouts has a father who owns 3-4 radio stations in town and was running for mayor or something a few years back. She's talking to her pop for me as well. Time to get my back scratched :lmao:

Meh...would rather PJ finish up the album and get the full crew back on the road. While I enjoyed the EV show that I saw, I am not sure I will be attending another one this soon, as I am guessing the source material will be similar. On the other hand, if you have not seen him yet, I am sure it will be worthwhile.

My downsized ### will likely have to pass on this one.

Now, if I posted this on the Pit, I am sure the flames would be firing!

just put in my order for tix. hopefully I'll get picked for some.
sorry GB. Already have the +1 filled, but if he bails on me I'll let ya know. Didn't realize you let your membership lapse. Have you contacted 10C? Last year (or maybe the year before) I forgot about mine for a few months and they reinstated it.
yeah, i know there used to be some sort of grace period....it probably won't do you any good for this go round, but you would definitely want to keep it updated for future tours

I'm sure they'd reinstate it for him, but not in time for the ticket sale.

PJ to tour - ACL looks 99.9999% like it's going to happen

David J. Prince, N.Y.Pearl Jam will play live dates in the U.S. later this year, including the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco Aug. 28-30, Billboard has confirmed. The band has also completed 14 songs for a new album and is working on a film with director Cameron Crowe, guitarist Mike McCready said in a radio interview late last month.McCready told Seattle's "Ron & Don Show" that the band is about halfway finished with its next album, which is being recorded in California with producer Brendan O'Brien. McCready said the band is expecting to have the album out before the end of this year. As previously reported, the band will self-release the album, its ninth. As for touring, the band is doing a "little thing in the States," and is looking to play South America in 2010, McCready said.Pearl Jam is widely expected to be one of the headliners of this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The promoters, C3 Presents, declined to comment to Billboard about the lineup, but the Austin Chronicle is calling it "the worst-kept secret since Metallica’s SXSW showcase." Dave Matthews Band, Beastie Boys and Kings of Leon are also expected to be announced as headliners on April 28. Early bird passes for Austin City Limits are on sale at aclfestival.com.Pearl Jam is also planning to tape an appearance on the Austin City Limits television show, producer Terry Lickona told a pbs.org questioner in March.Pearl Jam have long been courted by C3 Presents for the Austin festival, especially after the promoters convinced the band to play Lollapalooza in 2007, its first large festival show in the U.S. since the mid-1990s. Pearl Jam played Bonnaroo in 2008."We're building up to our big 20th anniversary," McCready said. "We're trying to have a little campaign of building rereleases with new mixes and new outtakes up until that time. We're trying to do a movie with Cameron Crowe with all of our existing footage."
