They finally slowed Unthought Known down a little for the Seattle 2 show.....could be a little slower though......should mirror the album version IMO

So my sister may be taking my extra ticket (sorry Zilla) but she works in Manhatten. Is there anyone who knows if there is a train that gets you to the Spectrum. If not, how far away is the train station and what kind of cab fare am I expecting. Will I be able to get a cab back to station? I know not all city cabs are like NYC so I am a little nervous with the plan.

Train: To 30th street station in PhillySubway: Blue line from 30th street station to 15th street/City Hallthen transfer to Orange line to Pattison (Sports and Entertainment Complex)Spectrum is right thereVery easy to do, especially for a NYerNo idea on the price of a cab from 30th street; it's about 5 miles

Jazz Odyssey as in Spinal Tap?
yeah, not surethat's the first thing that came to ind for me when I heard the ttle a couple of days ago, but I don't think soI think Eddie said it was something they play to mess aorund at practice or something like thatNot sure beyond that:goodposting:
They've played it while they were trying to finish setting up some stuff on stage. At ACL, the band was ready to go, but they didn't have Ben Harper's seat at the right level, so Eddie said, "can we get some Jazz Odyssey while we get Ben's seat ready to go?" and then they simply screw around on stage for a minute, maybe less. It was the same thing in L.A. on Thursday. So, while it gets listed as part of the set, they are just up there screwing around for 30-60 seconds while cords and chairs are getting moved around.

No problem!

Getting ready for tonight. Excited cuz it's my fan club seat, hope I hit the lottery.

Just getting over a nasty two-week cold where the travel and the partying got to me, but feeling better now for this last jaunt.

Went to see Thom Yorke and Flea and friends last night, without a ticket, solo. I get there, prepared to pay through the nose, when I see "Bill Silva Presents....????????????????" on the marquee. Well, I've done business with Bill, and hooked him up a bit. Imagine that. I call him, leave a message. Then I find head of security. No dice, too close to the show to go back and find management. See some dude that looks like he's in management and try with him. He asks for my card. I can't even believe I had one, but I actually found ONE (miracle)...with phone numbers all over it.

Anyway, Bill comes out 10 minutes later. I was 5th row, right between Flea, who went absolutely berzerk, and Yorke, who's also in his own world. No wonder those too ended up on the same stage -- makes perfect sense, the way they like to get at it. Seeing some great music lately, stoked.

Gotta get outta here, will try to do some kind of review tomorrow, even though I suck at remembering the finer points...

:( Love ya... Frankbot.Okay, one more night in LA. Last night's crowd was weak I thought, but I still had a great time. My fan club seats were 9th row, all the way to the left, next to Mike, a couple rows off the floor. Pretty perfect if you ask me. I was also on the aisle, which was great, plenty of room to roam. Hunger Strike alone made the show. That was un####ingreal.Gotta pick up a buddy at the airport, so no time to type. Ben Harper seemed pissed last night, btw, went in early to see the end of his set. Dig Ben Harper. He held this one note for an eternity last night, can't remember the song.Excited for tonight, crowd should be better I think. However, I am REALLY looking forward to San Diego. San Diego is gonna be bonkers, I know it. :(

The only version of Hunger Strike I could find was crap quality and had some annoying chick in the crowd screaming through the first 1:30... I couldn't take it.

It was a great show. Although, I have to say that I found the crowd to be a bit subdued and not nearly as into it as the Oct. 1 L.A. show or even in Austin. That certainly didn't put a damper on what was an awesome show. Ed definitely seemed to be having a great time up there. They brought out the daughter of their longtime lighting guy. Ed told the story of when he went to the hospital in Seattle on the day she was born and ended up holding her while the lighting guy went to get the car (it was raining). It was her 16th birthday...

They also played for and with Eddie's guitar teacher from San Diego and Matt Cameron's drum teacher (also from SD). They performed Last Kiss while facing toward the people sitting behind the stage (they had an additional drum set ready to go facing the opposite direction).

I had a great time.
